YHA Alice Springs
4.2/518 Reviews
I arrived early in the morning and went to reception to leave my bags and go for a wander and was told I should come back around 12 to get in the room. I got back around 11 and sat by the pool and at 11:30 Anna came over with my key card and told me I could go to my room (she did the same with a few other people too so it was lovely she remembered us all) it was a nice touch that she went out of her to find us and give us keys. The hostel at first appearance looks slightly run down but my goodness I was so surprised by how clean everywhere was. There was always multiple staff/volunteers around the hostel cleaning up and it showed. The kitchen especially was the cleanest most organised kitchen I’ve seen in terms of hostels so that was a massive bonus! ‘Uncle’ is one of the volunteers here and is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He took a few of us to Emily gap one day on his break, then another time to the Telegraph station. Another evening he did a talk with us to teach us all about Uluru before we took a tour the next day, so we could appreciate it in the eyes of the aboriginal people. It was such a nice touch to get to speak to someone so knowledgable on a personal level. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area, you won’t regret it. All the staff are super friendly and chatty, and the outdoor cinema is a nice authentic touch every evening.
Diplomat Hotel Alice Springs
3.4/5106 Reviews
The Diplomat Motel is in a central location close to shops. Stumps Café is on site and open for breakfast and lunch. Staff are friendly and there is a reasonable menu and the food and coffee are good quality. Uncles Tavern is also on site and serves good quality bar meals for dinner. The tavern was busy but meals were available in a reasonable time and drinks available after a short wait in a queue. We stayed at The Diplomat for 2 nights in a King Room on the first floor. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was close to the corner of Gregory Terrace and Hartley street and whilst it was close to the tavern we didn't notice excessive noise other than some loud cars on the adjacent streets. The main room and bathroom were large and the air conditioning effective. There was a small amount of rust on the shower screen and some cracked tiles in the bathroom. The King size bed was comfortable but the sheets were worn thin and had been repaired. There were stains on the carpet.
Mercure Darwin Airport Resort

Take a look at the bathroom photos and you will know the level. The cold water pipe woman can't move, otherwise she can only take a hot shower... In addition, the water in the refrigerator at the front desk is not clearly marked, and the two waters are a cola of 13 Australian dollars. VISA also has a 1.5 fee. The debit card can't be spent for a long time. Fortunately, there are coins... Want to cross the hotel back to 50 years ago? Welcome to come here... but Ctrip customer service is really good, timely response
Discovery Resorts - Kings Canyon
3.8/549 Reviews
The Valley of the Kings is remote and has many hiking trails. The accommodation camp seems to be the only one. There are not many hotel rooms and most of them are campsites for RVs. Inside are public baths, public toilets, and public kitchens. It is in good condition and very clean. There is also a Chinese girl from Nantong at the front desk, very enthusiastic.
Hilton Garden Inn Darwin
4.4/544 Reviews
The staff were welcoming and friendly. Dinushka Goonathalake looked after us very well. Having stayed for a conference a previous week we were most appreciative of a lovely room opening onto the park overlooking the bay on our return from adventuring in Arnem Land. Our room was always fresh and light, the bathroom modern. We appreciated access to open air from the small balcony. A good variety of teas was provided. The atmosphere was relaxed, suiting Darwin's tropical feel. Freshly prepared breakfast on the terrace or indoors and excellent coffee available if desired. Easily accessible morning & evening walks in the park along the bay to town and nearby restaurants was an added bonus.
DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin

Novotel Darwin CBD

Hotel location is good, service is good, but the equipment is outdated, the elevator tastes great There are ants in the room
Mindil Beach Casino Resort
4/5111 Reviews
The location is very good, looking west to see the most beautiful sunset and sunset in Darwin, the facilities are complete, **, Italian, Chinese, swimming pool..., the front desk service is warm and thoughtful, the room is clean and tidy, facing the lagoon pool, the indoor area is big enough. The disadvantage is that the door from the room into the bathroom is too thick, every time the in and out will automatically close, trouble and close the door momentarily loud. When the checkout, I knew that the mineral water in the minibar was charged, but housekeeping and the waiter who checked the minibar entered the room and said it was free. As a result, four bottles were charged 24 Australian dollars when the checkout was done. I was too lazy to talk to the front desk about the theory. I felt that I was also seeing people. The nice guy takes the money. It is best not to include breakfast in the reservation, because there are several fixed meals (see photo) with breakfast. The drink can be selected for black coffee and English black tea. Never pay attention to the cup that drinks water. Once the cup is not cleaned at all, there are other people eating the residue. Most of the restaurant waiters are Buddhist, busy but lost, the whole wheat bread, the white bread, promised to change after no later, I can think of my own bad luck and leave, this is the best hotel in Darwin. 4-5 thousand RMB per night, but compared with the same price hotels in China, the service is still much checked, and the hotel facilities are a little old.
Darwin Resort
3.2/542 Reviews
Used Darwin Resort as our port of call while holidaying in Darwin, before road-tripping back to Alice. Found the resort to be almost ideal. It's not in Darwin City itself, which would be a problem if you don't have a car, but for those with cars, Darwin and Casurina is only about 10 - 15 minutes away, while it's also ideally situated for getting away from the city and out to Litchfield for the day. It also has quite a nice pool, and unlike many, actually has shade for it. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the restaurant is shut, but since we were on a budget holiday, that wasn't such an issue either. There were a number of takeways within a 5 minute drive, and we ended up eating at Casurina or Stokes Hill Warf anyway. Staff were professional and friendly, rooms were... well, hotel rooms. Airconditioned, clean, no noise - what more can you really say? Thoroughly recommend for families with cars.
Darwin FreeSpirit Resort
4.1/5101 Reviews
This camp is quite large, and there are many room types. It is next to the road in and out of Darwin. The transportation is convenient. There is a gas station at the door. It is good and cheap. It is recommended. Note: Some room types are public toilets, so you can see clearly when booking. Key needs to pay deposit (recommended cash), check out directly to bring back cash, more convenient.
