Hyatt Place Montreal Downtown

Customer service wasn’t the greatest but the room is spacious and modern. The complimentary breakfast was good with limited selection. The location of the hotel is convenient but do have to be more cautious when walking during the night time.

Old Montreal
I love this hotel nestled in the heart of Old Montréal and Old Port. I had a great room with a wonderful corner view of Old Montréal, it’s rooftops, the Grande Roue and the little cafes and boutiques below. Room is very comfortable. I love the long modern working desk, the comfy lounge chair, plush bedding and above all the spa multi jet shower… Because of pandemic restrictions most of the amenities of the hotel were not accessible. The hotel has such a nice lounge and bar area but I couldn’t go there. The gym was also off limits. There is an outdoor courtyard that was advertised as open even in the winter with fire pits but it wasn’t accessible during my stay. My only complaint would be that my room was drafty but I also stayed on one of the coldest weekends of the year and I could adjust the heat in the room. I asked for a throw blanket to cuddle in while reading in the lounge chair. They brought me the cuddliest faux fur blanket, I was almost thankful for the draft. Can’t wait for my next opportunity to stay here. In my opinion, this hotel is more geared towards adults (solo/business/couples/adult getaways) rather than families with young children. It has a high-end, modern, chic vibe. However, I’m quite sure they would accommodate children too. Photos don’t do the view justice. They were taken during a snow storm with poor visibility. Under normal conditions, was really nice and at night, so beautiful with all the lights and illuminated Grande Roue.

Quite disappointed with the room provided vis-a-vis what was reserved. Two double beds instead of two queens was a tight squeeze for our family. I fail to understand why this happened, particularly since the room was booked two months in advance of arrival & secured with a credit card. I was told the hotel was fully booked for the weekend so the issue could not be remedied. That said, our room was on the pool level which was kind of nice. The room was clean and included a small fridge plus a safe. There was also a steamer which was handy for touching up formal attire. The hallways seemed a bit dim & May benefit from an update. They were quiet, without echos, which was nice however. Finally, the Metro station can be easily accessed through the building which is a bonus! Based on overall experience, I would recommend this hotel. I may consider it for future trips to Montreal but might be a bit apprehensive based on the room switch which occurred.

Quartier des Spectacles
Everything was as expected to the friendly front desk staff, clean room, comfortable bed and awesome location. You can walk to the old port, downtown and abundant shopping malls from the hotel. We didn’t use our car so the $30/night fee seems expensive. All around great stay in an awesome city.

Very good location in downtown Montreal - close to the Palais des Congres and Chinatown. Property well maintained. Room was small, but fine for 1 or 2 people. Room includes a simple breakfast of cereal, breads, fruit and hard-boiled eggs. Parking is available for a fee, but is very limited.
Comfort Inn Airport Dorval

Breakfast is average, but it is still very convenient and cost-effective. The hotel is a few kilometers from the airport, you can see the plane taking off, the children like it. The hotel has a car park and there is also a free bus airport transfer.
Days Inn by Wyndham Montreal Airport Conference Centre

🚗 Transportation: The hotel does not provide a shuttle to the airport, you have to take a taxi 🧹 Hygiene: Good 🍃 Environment: Good 🔔Service: We arrived late, and there was only one person at the front desk. It happened that the guests in front had some special circumstances to deal with, so he was a little busy to check-in and waited for a long time. The overall service is good

Downtown Montreal
The hotel was very central to all the place we wanted to be. It seemed like a 20 min walk to everywhere. Chinatown, Old Montreal, Waterfront, St Catherine street to city centre and the other way to The Gay Village. There are a lot of people that hang around in the streets around the hotel but it seems to be a big issue in Montreal in general. We never felt unsafe but we are from Toronto. The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. We stayed in a Panoramic rooms so we had a corner and a lounge. The rooms with just the beds are very small, it was nice having the extra space. They did not clean the rooms due to Covid which was fine but there is no where to dry a towel so we had to be creative. The bed was comfortable thought because it was not fully made up each day it got to be a bit of a mess and was harder to fix. The AC in the bedroom blows right on your head! The Lobby smelled wonderful and was clean and the staff were pleasant and helpful. All in all great place and we would stay again.
Le Dauphin St-Hyacinthe

After returning from a road trip to Nova Scotia from Toronto, we were anxious to get home. Living out of a suitcase and sleeping on a different bed almost every night after 8 days was enough for us. A phenomenal vacation exploring Nova Scotia though. We drove 12 hours and booked a room at this gem while on the road. Staff were courteous and helpful. The room was spacious and to our advantage, had a double jacuzzi - great after a day on the road. The bed was super comfy, wifi excellent, and air conditioner worked well. It was just what we needed. The breakfast had plenty of options. Most important is that we woke up feeling refreshed. I definitely recommend this gem.

Downtown Montreal
Don't recommend this hotel. This hotel doesn't even deserve 1 star, should be -5 (negative 5) out of +5 (positive 5). Unless you plan to pay a high price for a ”slump” experience, look no further, this is it. My first time to Montreal and will not visit again because of terrible experiences in this hotel. Reasons: 1) Did not honor what's advertised. Expedia stated that it offers valet parking, but it's not. It's self-park. I would not have stayed in this hotel had it not listed ”valet parking” as part of package price. 2) Concierge staff, Mikal, provided unclear and vague information on garage entrance location. Had to ask three times before Mikal walked a bit further to point the side entrance. It's off the street, had he not pointed it out, I would have missed it. I did not see it when I drove by when arriving at the hotel. 3) Made no efforts in guarding customer confidentiality and data: Lack of clear boundary on who can and can't stand behind the front desk counter: This made me feel uncomfortable seeing how any staff, housekeeping, security, front desk, guest services, even manager, Tamara's friend could stand behind the front desk counter to look at any computers and customers' information and data. This could come across as careless handling of customer confidentiality and data. There were two boxes with customer room assignment and data at the counter, even guests in line would easily access if they want to. At one point, there wasn't any staff at the front desk or in the lobby, all gone, with guests waiting, which if they want, they could easily access customer info. The hotel staff don't seem to care. For example, when Tamara checking me, Carl, Jason, Axel, Mikal and Tarama's friend all came over to peek over Tamara's computer with my profile and data on the screen. 4) Lack of sensitivity and priority: Housekeeping Carl, Front Desk Staff: Axel, and Jason, Concierge: Mikal, Manager, Tamara, were all busy doing their own things. At one point, there were 12-15 guests in line with Jason working alone while other staff focusing on other tasks rather than checking in guests to clear the waiting line. 5) Tamara offered me an upgrade, which was a terrible upgrade. Gave me things I did not need and a run-down and dirty room full of issues: hairs all over, dented walls, dented refrigerator, dark room, dirty sinks, food residuals on the chair, dirty carpet, warm (not hot) shower temperature, dusty surface, dirty walls., lack of enough electrical outlet, and many more (recorded with videos). 6) Negative attitude by some staff such as Axel, accusing me being disrespectful and screaming at him when I was not. He hung up my phone call abruptly three times when I called from the landline to raise cleanliness issues after arriving the assigned room. Axel also did not practice active listening. When I called I was hoping they could help locate a clean chair. Axel did not wait until I was done talking by cutting me off saying, ”Jason, seems t
