LLas7imeThis hotel is located within the Huangshan Scenic Area, right next to the lower station of the Yuping cable car. If you're driving, you'll need to park in the hotel's designated lot outside the scenic area, and a hotel vehicle will pick you up. Even though it's inside the Huangshan Scenic Area, if you're not climbing Huangshan, you don't need to buy an entrance ticket to get through the main gate when using the hotel's shuttle.
If you are hiking, you can use the hotel's shuttle service for transfers to and from the cable car station, saving you from queuing for the public bus at the scenic area's transfer center. This is a significant advantage, especially during peak season.
The hotel maintains high standards for both its facilities and service. All the staff we encountered were very enthusiastic. Since the occupancy rate was low during our visit, breakfast wasn't a buffet but served individually, which was pretty standard. However, the complimentary dinner was excellent.
Overall, we were very satisfied.

Before coming, I did some homework. There are old hotels on the mountain, and many design B&Bs have also grown up. And this one is the most emotional.
As soon as the order was placed, the butler contacted us on WeChat and arranged for a car to pick us up when we reached the mountain. We ”rejected” the housekeeper's kindness and walked all the way into Jiuhua Old Street. When we were about to get lost in the dotted alleys, the B&B suddenly appeared in front of us.
”Alley”, as its name suggests, is hidden among alleys. The afternoon sun was just right. When we walked in, the snow that fell last week had not completely melted. The white walls and green tiles, a small courtyard, and a big tree shone in the warm winter sun.
After getting familiar with the terrain, I found that the location of the B&B is very good, with major temples, the cable car to the Centennial Palace, and the bus to the rooftop for transfer all nearby.
What also left a deep impression on me were the three young girls in the B&B. They were full of laughter, very cute, and felt like family.

Let's talk about the general environment of the ancient town first. It is said that tickets are charged on holidays. Few shops are open at night, and there are few people in the morning. It is said that there are performances, but there is nothing suitable for children after looking at the program list. Many shops are closed, and the streets with closed doors can also show that they were once prosperous. It should be good.
Let's talk about the hotel. The room area is OK and the environment is generally good, but my child is afraid of the slide and thinks it is too steep. I tried it myself and it was true, so I lost one of the fun of booking this room.
The breakfast is really incomparable to star hotels. It is matched by the owner himself.
I saw the reviews before that the small animals that can be fed were only empty cages. There was a cat. The baby could only play with the cat for a while. On the way to the room, I had to pass the cat house. The smell almost made me faint.
There are also advantages. In terms of service, the boss contacted in advance. When I arrived, the boss went to the door to pick up the tickets in person. There were several times in the middle when the remote control and bed sheets were replaced. The boss solved it quickly. The owner of the B&B is indeed very responsive to the guests' service and has a very good attitude. The air conditioning in the room is very powerful, the terrace is quite comfortable, and it feels good to sit on the terrace as the sun sets.
Overall, I gave it a score of four, and I hope it can be better. Or the price can be more affordable.

WWee Meng SengWe are a family of four. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel thoroughly. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The Hotel was surrounded by mountains but it has all the facilities of a five star Hotel. As it was winter we didn't use the swimming pool but we had a fun time soaking in the outdoor hot springs. Both the dinner and breakfast were delicious and the ingredients were of the best quality. The reception was warm and professional. The young men and lady running the place gave us excellent advice on how to climb the mountain. Overall, I recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants an excellent time at the mountain base before climbing the mountain and to recoup after the climb before returning to the hustle and bustle of city life.

YYida88Our family of 13 recently spent three nights at Shanyu Life and Huangshan Design hotel and the experience was delightful. The location is excellent—about a 10‑minute drive from the Huangshan park entrance—yet the hotel sits in a quiet area surrounded by mountains and tea plantations. The hotel’s free shuttle to Huangshan was extremely convenient for a group of our size. The resort offers spacious rooms with high‑quality finishes and fittings; All 7 of our rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, with comfortable bedding and bathroom amenities that made for a very relaxing stay. The property is so tastefully designed that we were content to simply linger in the common areas after breakfast, sipping tea or practicing Chinese calligraphy in the serene setting.
The highlight of our visit was the outstanding service from the staff, who were consistently caring, attentive, and proactive in anticipating our needs. They handled several ad‑hoc requests even before our arrival and continued to go above and beyond throughout our stay so that every member of our family felt well looked after.
We particularly enjoyed the welcome hot tea while hotel owner Fang Fei introduced many interesting places to visit around Huangshan. The team also arranged a half‑day excursion to Mukeng Village Bamboo Forest, where the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was filmed, and it was amazing climbing the hills through such dense bamboo forest. After long days of sightseeing and mountain climbing, it was a joy to return to the resort, where a warm and hearty dinner awaited us, making it feel like coming home each evening. Fang Fei is also a tea master, and she not only taught us a lot about Huangshan’s famous teas but also hosted a tea‑appreciation and meditation session for us, which was exactly what our family needed after hectic travels through many Chinese cities before arriving in Huangshan.
Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable, and this hotel is highly recommended to anyone planning to visit Huangshan.

SShe&yuRevisiting after 16 years, and the hotel service has definitely improved! I arrived quite late, and the hotel's personal butler even called to check in on me and offer some tips. Upon arrival, they also surprised my child with some local snacks. During the Chinese New Year holiday, the hotel had performances, which was a nice touch and made for a lively atmosphere. If you're visiting when the West Sea Grand Canyon is open, the hotel's location is absolutely perfect. They even provide down jackets for sunrise viewing, along with other disposables, so you can pack light for your hike. The butler also thoughtfully shared sunrise times, temperatures, and routes. The food was delicious too!

Their cats are as robust as trucks, and their fur feels great to the touch. Although the house is made of wood, it is very quiet at night. The back connects to the garden and the restaurant. However, the only thing that made me unhappy was the cultural and creative shop at the very back. The owner said there was a door there that could also lead out. After we went there, the middle-aged woman with a round face kept telling us not to use her door, that there were other doors. Perhaps because we didn't buy anything from her shop, we also refused to buy fruit from the fruit shop across the street. She was like a rotten apple, making me feel very uncomfortable.

The hotel offers a shuttle service to the scenic area entrance, and the driver was incredibly friendly – highly recommend! What's more, before I even checked in, they reached out to ask about my needs and arranged a carpooling service for us. So, after arriving at Huangshan North by high-speed train, we were able to carpool directly to the hotel, which was absolutely brilliant! The hotel is clean, hygienic, and wonderfully quiet. The breakfast was also good, making this hotel truly worthwhile and a trip well spent!!

HHenry TTBanyan Tree Anhui – while other platforms are constantly offering discounts and flash sales, these couldn't be used during the Chinese New Year period. Initially, I booked a 4-day, 3-night stay, but later changed it to 3 days, 2 nights for 10,000 RMB. We stayed in a two-bedroom villa, but couldn't park our car right outside the villa, which was very inconvenient. If we wanted to park closer, we'd have to pay extra for a different villa type, but I didn't like the decor of those – they were all in dark colors. We had to call for a shuttle whenever we wanted to go anywhere, which was quite inconvenient, especially with bad weather. The complimentary fruit, snacks, and longan and lotus seed soup provided upon check-in were a bit sparse. The hotel advertised a heated pool, and the water temperature itself was probably fine, but the pool area was open to the outside, not an enclosed space, so it was still quite cold. Our child wasn't able to swim. The Chinese New Year activities at the hotel were a bit underwhelming – the Huangmei Opera was mediocre, and the fish lantern parade and iron flower show were very brief. The hotel itself was generally clean. The scenery would likely be much better in spring or summer; in winter, it felt a bit desolate. The room facilities were decent, and despite their age, they were well-maintained. A small complaint: breakfast involved queuing, as there weren't enough tables in the restaurant, so they had to call out numbers. Thankfully, the staff were very polite. If you arrived late, you just had to wait hungry. Breakfast was average. There's definitely no value for money during Chinese New Year, but it might be a good stay during the off-season. It's a 15-minute drive to Hongcun and very close to Lucun. Nothing exceeded expectations; I'd just say it was okay.
