This hotel is super convenient, right in Terminal 1 of the airport, and the soundproofing is great. The only thing is there might be a lingering cleaning product smell in the room, so you need to open the window to air it out. The staff were all very nice. I ordered takeout, but they couldn't deliver directly to the room, so I had to go downstairs to the **counter to pick it up. The place called 'Yue Lao' is delicious.

It's hard to put into words, I went to experience the beautiful Ocean Flower Island with endless imagination, but only after I arrived did I realize it was far from satisfactory.
Dining: If you don't want to eat at the hotel, you have to walk more than ten minutes to the food court. But when you're exhausted from a day of playing and arrive at the hotel at 7 PM, you just want to go straight to a restaurant to eat your fill and recharge. However, as soon as you reach the hotel entrance, the sea breeze was so strong it blew us, who are sensitive to cold, back to the hotel. Taking a taxi to Island 2 didn't help either, as there was no large shopping complex that could provide shelter from the wind and rain. We just made do. Even more frustrating, if you don't use the hotel breakfast, the earliest external delivery the hotel allows is 9 AM, and you receive it at 9:15 AM. So many inconveniences. It was a loss for someone like me who only stayed one night to check it out. I didn't enjoy any perks and left the island. Not even a complimentary electric cart tour. Even if they didn't offer other things, a free electric cart from the hotel entrance to the food court would have been great. Alas, I shouldn't be so impulsive next time.

The hotel is located by Qishui Bay, about a 10-minute walk to the beach. The indoor pool is around 22 meters long with a depth of 1 meter. Some rooms have balconies with views of the launch site, while others overlook Qishui Bay. Since the exact launch time couldn't be known in advance, I missed seeing it from my room, but the hotel does offer a paid viewing service.
The concierge staff member was very enthusiastic and provided great emotional support. Chen from the front desk was also very proactive in helping me with various issues.
The first obvious drawback is that the facilities are old. The furnishings are several years old, and the surfaces of the furniture and appliances are mottled and rusted. The TV is also too small. The second drawback: after swimming, I left my beach shoes and swimsuit to dry on the balcony. I collected my swimsuit the next day but forgot the beach shoes. I didn't remember them after checking out, and only realized the next day that they were missing. Chen from the front desk actively contacted housekeeping, but was told they weren't found, and no new guests had checked into the room yet. Fearing I might have forgotten, I checked my luggage at home and still couldn't find them. It's highly likely the shoes were treated as abandoned items by the cleaning staff on the balcony. Such a shame!

What an incredible night, it felt like all my previous trips to Sanya were wasted! I've stayed in plenty of five-star hotels around this area, but this was my first time at MGM. I brought my parents to Sanya, hoping they'd enjoy themselves since they're getting on in years, so I booked this full ocean-view suite. They were absolutely thrilled! The large balcony was perfect for photos and watching the sunrise – truly amazing.
The service was exceptionally good, especially from Xiao Hu. He took care of us every step of the way, adding me on WeChat the day before to help with arrangements. Before our room was ready, he even arranged a temporary room for my parents to rest in. The suite included breakfast at the beachfront restaurant, and the à la carte options were incredibly exquisite. Originally, only two breakfasts were included, but Xiao Hu helped us get an extra one for free.
The hotel also had a lot of lively activities in the evening.

Fantastic! The views are absolutely stunning, and the hotel lobby is grand and luxurious with top-notch facilities. Our room was spotless and tidy, and the indoor pool was clean and comfortable. The beach was also clean with fine sand. Our butler, Mile, was exceptional! She proactively contacted me the day before check-in to inform us about the hotel's complimentary services and reminded us to make reservations. On the day of arrival, she personally escorted us to our room. Throughout our stay, no matter what we needed, she was always quick to assist, providing us with a truly wonderful experience. The hotel is impeccable in every aspect. We even decided to extend our stay for another day, and despite limited room availability, Mile managed to arrange for us to stay in our original room. We are truly grateful!

This guesthouse is absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous environment, probably the best in town. The room directly faces the azure sea, making it the closest I've ever stayed to the ocean. It's clean, with modern and complete facilities, and the service is warm and attentive. It's located in a very quiet part of Tianya Town, close to the hustle and bustle but still offering a private, tranquil escape – both convenient and relaxing. There are many charming coffee shops nearby where you could easily spend an entire day. It's also very close to the beach, which is incredibly convenient when traveling with kids. Plus, the guesthouse has its own beautiful pool that perfectly complements the blue sky and sea – so incredibly comfortable!

This hotel is perfectly located right above a commercial street and a food street, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. Everything you need is right at your doorstep, so you don't have to go far for anything. It's an ideal choice for a island vacation, offering easy access to explore, eat, and have fun.

We stayed in a panoramic room, and the space was both clean and generously sized. You definitely pay for the view, and in this case it’s worth it—the scenery from the room is truly marvellous. Most essentials were provided, and the hotel grounds include several conveniences such as on‑site restaurants, a Starbucks, and a small tuck shop.
There were, however, a few areas where the experience could be improved. The swimming facilities were disappointing. Although two pools were technically operational, neither felt inviting or photo‑worthy. One had been converted into a sand pit, and temporary barriers were set up everywhere to block day visitors, which created an eye sore. Construction further took away from the atmosphere.
Breakfast offered a decent selection and was sufficient overall, though friends who had visited before mentioned that the spread used to be better. After a few days, you’ll likely find yourself eating more or less the same items.
Communication could also be smoother. Having at least one staff member who speaks English—or an alternative text‑based communication option—would make the stay easier for international guests. The Sky Lounge, however, was comfortable and a pleasant place to relax.
Dining inside the hotel isn’t particularly affordable, but not too bad for a hotel, and I would have appreciated a stronger seafood selection. Many guests seemed to opt for food delivery instead. Small in‑room additions like earbuds, toothpicks, and a notepad would also elevate the experience.
Overall, Phoenix Hotel Sanya offers beautiful views and convenient on‑site amenities, but there’s room for improvement in facilities, dining, and guest communication.

Stayed here for three nights, and overall it was decent.
It was super crowded, which made for a lively atmosphere, but we had to queue just to get into breakfast, though the wait wasn't too long.
The prices here are really high. A bottle of Coke Zero at the water park was 28, and a serving of Oden (6 skewers) was 48 (68 downstairs at the hotel). A single squid skewer was 48! At the Japanese restaurant downstairs, a bowl of Udon was 138 and a beef rice bowl was 168. We really should have taken a taxi to eat out, but we were just too lazy 😭.
On the other hand, the room service food was delicious, and by comparison, it didn't seem so expensive. A set menu with four dishes (pictured in Figure 4) was 378.
The worst experience here was the travel photography service (Fuyou Pai). The hotel offered five complimentary digital raw photos. First off, the photographer was probably in their forties or fifties, and had us pose in those old-fashioned studio styles from my childhood – and I couldn't refuse! 😭 The raw photos weren't even as good as what I could take with my phone, so I had no choice but to pay 100 for retouched versions. Then I ended up spending another 680 to buy 15 more retouched photos. That money was totally wasted. I've got a new goal for 2026: learn photography 📷.
I thought the C Show performance was just okay, but the kids loved it and wanted to see it again 😓. Definitely get seats in the middle.

I stayed here because I had an early flight, and the experience was fantastic! The hotel's location is unbeatable, just a few minutes' drive from the airport. The 24-hour shuttle service was incredibly prompt, and the driver was very friendly.
The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. Despite being close to the airport, the soundproofing was excellent; I barely heard any airplane noise and had a peaceful night's sleep.
The front desk service was professional and efficient. They proactively asked about my flight time and reminded me about the shuttle.
While the breakfast didn't have a huge variety, the quality was good, especially the Hainanese noodle soup, which tasted very authentic. It was really satisfying to have a hot meal before catching my flight. Highly recommended!
This is definitely the top choice for travelers with layovers or early morning flights. I'll be back again!

GGuest UserBringing my parents and children to Sanya this time, choosing the Bird's Nest Resort was definitely the right decision. I only knew it was on a mountain before, but after arriving, I realized the hotel is even larger than the tropical forest park itself. The rooms are spread across several different ridges within the forest park, and shuttle buses are needed to get between each area. The mountain is rich in vegetation with beautiful scenery, offering panoramic views of Yalong Bay, distant vistas of Haitang Bay-Sanya Bay, and Wuzhizhou Island. The natural landscape and artificial gardening complement each other perfectly, with beauty at every turn. The hotel service is also very professional; every staff member is warm and attentive to guests. Manager Zhang even called every day specifically to ask about guests' experiences and made improvements promptly. The two restaurants within the hotel are both located in spots with fantastic views, many of them prime scenic tables. The food at the restaurants is delicious, and the breakfast spread is incredibly rich and varied – it's the most distinctive hotel breakfast I've ever had. There are dedicated guides for exploring the park, which was a great experience. Most importantly, the hotel's density is very low, so you barely feel crowded; it's very relaxed and private, perfect for taking beautiful photos without anyone in the background.

GGuest UserPerfect for a family vacation! The hotel has a huge kids' club, a heated pool, and water slides – my child didn't want to leave. The room had a special family setup, and the breakfast spread was extensive. My kids absolutely loved the underwater restaurant. Gina from guest services proactively arranged family activities, and there were exclusive sun loungers on the beach. My whole family was very satisfied, highly recommended! Kids' club + huge pool + daily family activities, my child was happy the whole time. Gina was available 24/7, proactively communicating before check-in and quick to respond to requests. The cleaning was meticulous, making for an excellent experience.

GGuest UserThe room experience at InterContinental Haitang Bay was beyond five-star! The 88-square-meter space was incredibly spacious and bright, with a prime ocean-view balcony directly facing the azure sea and coconut groves. You could watch the sunrise over the ocean right from your bed, and the balcony bathtub offered sea views while you soaked – truly maximizing the vacation vibe. The room facilities were exquisite and complete, with a Dyson hairdryer and high-end toiletries all provided, showcasing quality in every detail. The entire room was impeccably clean, with a cozy yet stylish island-themed decor. The room service was also incredibly attentive; daily tidying was prompt and thorough, and requests were handled efficiently. The hotel is conveniently located next to the duty-free shop, just a short walk away, and a private beach is right outside. It was both comfortable and convenient, truly living up to its reputation as a benchmark hotel in Haitang Bay. The overall experience was superb, highly recommended! ✌️✌️✌️
MM38484****The room layout was well-thought-out and convenient. The cleaning was thorough, with no corners missed. The service was excellent, especially our housekeeper Nicole, who provided daily, comprehensive reminders that were spot-on. Traveling with my child, we felt so much joy and security. We stayed for two days, and unexpectedly, Nicole even gave my child a small gift before we checked out. My child was thrilled! We're so grateful to Nicole for adding such a wonderful touch to our trip.
The Xiangzhen Garden Party (featuring colorful go-karts, bouncy clouds, clown shows, touhu, archery, blindfolded gong hitting, fire dance performances, and bonfire interactions) was incredibly fun. My child absolutely loved it.
GGuest UserWhat truly stood out was how genuine and respectful every staff member was, from the concierge to housekeeping. Their smiles and greetings felt sincere, and when they offered help, it was always with a collaborative, never condescending, attitude. This interaction, built on mutual respect, gave guests a comforting sense of partnership rather than the usual distance of being 'served.'
As I checked out, I realized this is perhaps the pinnacle of true guest relations service: it begins with keen observation, is perfected through thoughtful action, and ultimately blossoms into the delightful anticipation of a future reunion between people. This hotel made me feel not just like a transient guest, but a genuinely welcomed friend.

GGuest UserOur first stop for the winter break trip to Sanya! Rose, our wonderful butler, added me on WeChat several days in advance, providing thoughtful and comprehensive service. When we got out of the car, the bellhop single-handedly took care of all four of our bags! He was so impressive carrying all of them. Initially, we thought about checking in at the lobby on the first floor, but there were quite a few people waiting. Rose suggested we go directly to the executive lounge on the 3rd floor instead. The lobby attendant kindly guided us to the elevator, which was very considerate! Once at the executive lounge, I handled the check-in while the seniors took the kids to get some water and fruit. The lady who checked us in was beautiful, kind, and had a lovely smile. The young photographer was also excellent at directing poses, and all the photos turned out great. Everyone was very professional and enthusiastic. In the end, Rose even arranged for a small tent to be set up in our room for the kids and helped us get a late check-out until 1 PM. Oh, and the scenery outside the hotel is absolutely stunning – I even saw the sunrise in the morning! I feel it offers great value for money, and I'll definitely stay for more days next time!

SSnnieThe hotel boasts comprehensive facilities, including a coconut grove garden, a beach, swimming pools, restaurants and bars, and a pet park... you really need to stay for several days to fully enjoy everything! The location is very convenient; it's a 10-minute walk to Haitang Bay 68 Food Street, which has chains like Pizza Hut, KFC, and Heytea, as well as local specialties. There's also a large supermarket right outside the hotel, making it easy to pick up daily necessities and fruits.
There are several swimming pools, a children's water park, and even a heated pool, which is a great feature. You can swim until 10 PM, and it's incredibly pleasant to glide through the water with the evening breeze.
Enjoy an immersive pet interaction experience with adorable bunnies, Call ducks, lambs, and even cats you can pet.
The bedding is excellent; the duvet is light and soft. We stayed in a super king room with a private pool, and the bed felt huge for two people.
