Weekend train trek to BaoJi from Xi’an. It’s a very walkable city, and there are bikes all around. Crowne Plaza has a nice longe on the 40th Floor. It is next to a mall, and adjacent to the theater. The park nearby stretches to the historically designed walking bridge into Chencang Old Street (I suggest folk music bar next to Panda Aquarium/BaoJi Station display).
Crowne has nice views and comfortable rooms. Staff is bilingual and everything is clean. Of the Crowne Plazas I have stayed in, this one is maintained well.

The Yazi Hotel at Xi'an Bell Tower Yongning Gate was an amazing experience! The location is superb, within walking distance of the Bell Tower, Yongning Gate, and the city wall. Stepping out, you're right in the core scenic area, making getting around incredibly convenient. The rooms have an elegant Tang Dynasty style, are clean and tidy, with smart amenities that work well, and comfortable bedding for a peaceful sleep. Some room types even offer direct views of the city wall at night, which is absolutely stunning. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and the breakfast was plentiful, including local specialty snacks. It’s quiet despite being in a bustling area—the environment is peaceful and not noisy. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. Staying here in Xi'an allows you to experience the charm of the ancient capital while enjoying comfort and convenience. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit. Highly recommended!

A special thank you to the lovely lady at the front desk for her incredibly welcoming reception – my experience was absolutely perfect! The location is super convenient, whether you're taking a taxi or walking. Personally, I think it's even better than staying in the Datang area. The service was excellent, and since the hotel is new, the facilities are modern and everything is very clean. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Xi'an for tourism or business. The breakfast was also good, and they were very thoughtful and helpful with our child. On the day we went to the Terracotta Warriors, we were able to have breakfast as early as 6:30 AM, which was fantastic.
We were in this hotel 2 days. Breakfast was very tasty, Chinese and European food and drinks. The staff is very friendly. They helped me with all the requests we had.
We visited the hot springs and were very pleased, the temperature was from 30 to 50 degrees, with various additives inside: herbs, fruits and even wine. I also visited gym, its simple but functional.
I recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to visit this city and enjoy good service.

This was my first time staying at the Hilton in Xi'an, and I was really impressed. The hotel's location is fantastic, very close to Yongxingfang and the City Wall, and within walking distance of a subway station. The decor has a grand, traditional Chinese style; although it shows a bit of age, it's meticulously clean and well-maintained with all the necessary amenities. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. The breakfast spread was also excellent, with plenty of local specialties. This hotel is definitely ideal for tourists, and I'd prioritize staying at the Hilton again if I return to Xi'an.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Luomashi Pedestrian Street. It's just a few minutes' walk to the metro station, making it super convenient to get to all the popular attractions. The room itself is modern and cozy, with a great separate shower and toilet, and the bedding is so soft and comfortable – I slept incredibly well! The service is warm and efficient; they personally guided me to my room when I checked in and even prepared some thoughtful snacks. Excellent value for money! This is an amazing choice for any traveler. 😊😊

Nice Boutique style hotel that gives a bed and breakfast vibe. If you have heavy luggage I recommend taking exit H from line 2 metro for the escalators. Amaps directed me to a blind alley towards the back of the hotel which was gated off. Fortunately a random local aunty kindly walked me around 2 blocks to the actual street of the hotel entrance. Staff was welcoming and helpful with any questions. They will look things up for you if you ask and send it to your WeChat. Housekeeping is done daily. Breakfast was decent and free refreshments/ beverages are provided daily which was nice!

Location: The hotel is located south of the city center. There's a bus stop right outside, making it quite convenient to get to the Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter.
Facilities: The lobby and reception area have an artistic vibe, showing a clear effort in creating a pleasant atmosphere. The mattress was great and comfortable, but the pillow was uncomfortable and gave me a stiff neck.
Cleanliness: It was alright. Everything being black made it hard to tell if it was dirty or clean.
Service: Make sure to use the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, otherwise, the staff will knock on your door early every morning, which is incredibly annoying. However, if you leave without pressing 'Make Up Room', it definitely won't get cleaned.
Also, the more expensive 'Superior King Room' is actually far less comfortable than the cheaper 'Comfort Deep Sleep Room'.
The last picture shows a rip-off tobacco shop in the Muslim Quarter. Avoid it at all costs! They charge double the price of outside shops, clearly targeting tourists!

GGuest UserThis hotel boasts an excellent location, close to the Drum Tower, City Wall, and Muslim Quarter, making it a perfect choice for those who enjoy walking. Despite being in a bustling area, our high-floor room offered a great view of the Drum Tower from the top floor, which was a wonderful touch. The room itself was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The front desk service was incredibly friendly. The hotel also features a tea room and a laundry room, offering convenient amenities. While there aren't many rooms, this adds to a strong sense of privacy. The lobby and corridors exude a pleasant aroma, creating a fantastic ambiance. I'll definitely be returning! 👍

AAnonymous UserStaying here was super convenient, with a subway entrance right outside – getting around was an absolute breeze and stress-free. The breakfast was a delightful surprise, featuring authentic Xi'an specialties. The Roujiamo (meat burger) tasted incredibly genuine, and the dry-tossed noodles (Saozi Mian) were delicious. The spread was also very rich, making for a truly satisfying meal. The front desk service was warm and attentive; check-in was efficient and thoughtful, and they even provided a city map. The entire experience was fantastic!
GGuest UserI really loved this guesthouse! The rooms were clean, and the service was excellent; everyone was so kind. The cats, Jinli and Caicai, were incredibly well-behaved. The location is super convenient – the subway exit is right there, and Huaqing Palace is across the street. After watching 'The Song of Everlasting Sorrow' at night, it's just a quick walk across the road! The breakfast was delicious, and the lady who made it was so sweet. If I ever get the chance to come back, I'll definitely choose this place again.
GGuest UserThis hotel is my top choice for business trips. It's very close to the Bell Tower, and the subway provides easy access to the high-speed train station and the airport. The service is excellent, and all the facilities are great. It's convenient for getting anywhere, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Rooms are disinfected and tidied daily, with no unpleasant odors. The soundproofing is also very good. It offers fantastic value for money, and it's convenient for both travel and shopping. The service is truly considerate.

BBeatingUpwindThis is a difficult review to write. There’s a lot I like about Joke Inn - it’s in a cool location, the room was nice, and the staff are friendly. And I should mention - I don’t have experience with the inner, courtyard facing rooms - this is just about street-facing rooms….
I saw the reviews talking about noise and figured it was just normal street noise - which as a New Yorker I’m fine with. But what we experienced was FAR beyond regular street noise. We had a room facing the street (and the Xi’an city wall) and the issue is that there are two live music venues on the ground floor that compete by blasting the music - which bounces off the city wall into the room. The music goes until 2am every night (not just weekends). The earplugs they give you don’t even begin to be enough. After getting just 4 hours of sleep the first night I managed the next 3 nights by taking a sleeping pill and wearing huge uncomfortable noise canceling headphones. That should never be necessary in a hotel.
So the bottom line in my opinion is the owners need to figure out if they’re in the entertainment business or the hotel business because the two don’t mix - at least not for the street-facing rooms.

MM420125****This is a standardized hostel, with every detail meticulously thought out – a very mature commercial product. However, the quality of guests is hard to control. Even though it's off-season, the restrooms weren't very clean, and there was trash and an unpleasant smell (understandable for a commercial building with less ventilation) throughout the common areas. Plus, I noticed a girl smoking in the restroom (the innermost stall reeked of smoke). On the bright side, the blankets and shower rooms were quite warm, even better than a 3-star hotel I stayed in later. It also has a strong social atmosphere, making it suitable for young travelers on a budget.

GGuest UserTraveling with kids during the Chinese New Year peak season, the experience was absolutely fantastic.
1. The location is superb, right inside Huaqing Palace. There's a dedicated small gate for direct access to the park, and with our room key, we could enter and exit unlimited times smoothly and for free. The hotel itself is quiet and classic; just taking a walk around is a beautiful experience in itself.
2. Every staff member we encountered had a commendable attitude, genuinely considering the guests' needs.
3. The hot springs lived up to their reputation; both the indoor (staff filled the bath for us in advance in the evening) and outdoor pools were excellent.
4. Thoughtful details like insulated cups, white fungus soup, comfortable pajamas, a spacious bathroom, reminders about amenities delivered to the room, a beautiful souvenir mirror, and delicious welcome fruits.
5. The 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow' show tickets, which they helped us book in advance, had excellent, central seats. In the evening, we took a dedicated passage to the venue, which was convenient and avoided crowds.
6. My only suggestion is that adding a humidifier in winter would make it even more perfect.

Man Xin Changanli Hotel Xi'an Bell tower was a gorgeous and modern hotel. The room was beautifully designed in warm colors and there was plenty of seating area--including a cute little tatami sitting area. The windows were floor-to-ceiling, with automatic curtains that move with a slight tug. The staff were very friendly. The view outside the window is an interesting picture of the city wall, but it wasn't very pretty--just the brick wall and little bit of the events on the top. The beds were too firm for me, but I'm used to softer beds. My friend said it was fine for her though.
Despite how beautiful the room is, I would not stay there again. The temperature in the room would not go below 29c, even with the air conditioner turned on. When asked if they could come fix the A/C, the staff said this room was more ”natural” and people don't really use it, so there wasn't anything they could do. We had to open the windows to keep cool. Additionally, the air conditioner was so loud that when I first heard it, I thought someone was rolling a cart down the cobblestones outside the hotel window. It was almost as loud as the construction happening directly outside our window.
Speaking of the construction, it didn't start until 7 or 8 pm at night and went through until 3-4am. Couldn’t close the window without turning the room into a hotbox, so it was extremely noisy between the sounds of the machinery and the workers shouting over it. I'm a light sleeper, so it was nearly impossible to sleep.
Between the heat, the noise from the air conditioner, and the noise from the construction, I got almost no sleep during my three day stay. So it's a lovely hotel, but it's too noisy and uncomfortable.
