We are Malaysian & can speak mandarin. Don’t worry if you’re non-chinese speaker, they will try their best to communicate with you. Sonzhuju Coffee & Tea Holiday Villa is convenient for those who bring big luggage. They have a service to help carry your luggage too, from the main road (approx 170m). And please let them know once you arrived at the main road! The hotel is away from loud noise & busy from the main area. Cosy place & strategic for us staying in 3D2N. The room was clean. Breakfast included, but for Muslims, please mention that you’re Muslim, then they will prepare you veggie options. And you can choose to have your meal in your room or their eating area.

Ai Fei, a local host from the hotel, was very helpful in arranging our customised tour trip. We texted the hotel via WeChat 8–9 days prior to our arrival in Lijiang. We asked if there was any local there who could advise us on the trip and straightaway they made a group for discussion. He'd make sure that we were all okay & happy to discuss our plan to visit any area that we would like to go to. He arranged our private car trip to JDSM & Blue Moon Valley and brought the ticket for us too. Upon we'd arrived at the hotel, he served us a welcome tea, fruit and flower cake. From the next morning we are going to JDSM & Blue Moon Valley. He advised us on what the do’s and don't prior to our trip. The private driver that he helped arrange for us was also very helpful & patient to ensure that we felt safe going to the place (group chat). He also helped to arrange a private car for us to Shangri-la. Overall, he made our plan and trip smoothly.

As for the Muslims, you can ask him or the hotel host to recommend where the nearest Muslim restaurant they will definitely find for you.
Overall, definitely recommend staying here. We are happy with our stay here.

Cleanliness is pretty decent, but don’t expect the cleanliness of a 5* hotel. Bathroom shower walls are slightly moldy at the corners and edges, so if you’re a fussy traveler this may be a 3 or 4 rating. Depending on your requirements, this location can bea 5/5 or a 2/5. This is located far from Dukezong Ancient Town, and far from other restaurants. Scenery is great and quiet from the hustle and bustle , hence the potential 5/5 rating. But since it’s far from other places, food options and “shopping” are limited, hence the 2/5. The room we booked was quite far away from the lobby. It’s the furthest house located. Service is a 5/5. You’ll get full help with your butler carrying your luggage from your car arrival, all the way to your room, and from your room to the lobby when you checkout. Any issue? Just simply WeChat the group chat dedicated for your booking. You get free breakfast 2 choices. 1 porridge set with many side dishes. Or noodle soup. You get free afternoon tea with various choices (coconut latte was good) and a free ice cream cake. At night 8.30 onwards you get dessert soup which was great too. The afternoon tea and dessert soup can be delivered to your room. Not sure about breakfast, as we came out to the cafeteria to eat. Amenities are wonderful, 5/5. Don’t expect a swimming pool or gym here, but you’ll have activities for you to enjoy here without stepping out of the area. A small pool table near the lobby (albeit crapping conditions of the balls). Free sliced carrots provided to feed the farm animals (ducks, swans, goats, pony, donkey), but no feeding of carrots to the 3 doggies!! You also get to dress up in the traditional costume and get free photo shoot with 3 unedited photos for free (per room). If you want the edited photos, do expect to pay a sum (way more expensive than other market rates you can find outside) for it. The room has floor warmer and bed warmer which was great for the cold weather we experienced in end March. It was 0-10 degrees. The toilet was cold. The heating in toilet does not seem to work. So you have to brace the cold and take your shower. But the bed, floor and room was really warm. Hotel also have a restaurant which you can order food for lunch and dinner. But it’s a little on the pricey side. It would be better to ******* and order food delivery. But their restaurant food is surprisingly tasty. So if you don’t mind the price, can order from them. About 180 yuan for 1 meat and 1 vege dish. Overall experience was great. Love the service. If you want a chill time and not travel out to shopping areas, this is a great hotel for you to book. You get the enjoy the “pet farm” life and the nature.

The room was super spacious, clean and tidy, with smart facilities. It's not far from the subway station, making it very convenient to take the subway or a taxi to Kunming's attractions. Downstairs, there's a night market and a farmers' market, which is great for staying a while, eating, strolling, and experiencing the local life of Kunming. The hotel staff were also very enthusiastic. It feels like much better value for money than staying near the old town.

Highly recommend for anyone to stay in this hotel. It is very conveniently situated, just a 10-sec walk from the Lijiang ancient town. Getting to other attractions is very convenient as taxis are always just parked along the road. For 2 days we just used the taxis, and the fare is similar to the DIDI app. The staff members are very welcoming especially Mr Liu. He is always around to check in on us and would recommend suitable itinerary based on our interests and needs. In fact, weeks before I were to check in, they contacted me for my Wechat account via Trip.com, and I have no problem contacting him to pick me up from the airport the day before I were to arrive. Throughout my 5 days of stay with them, we felt we were staying at a friend's place rather than a hotel. There was much warmth and friendliness. If I were to visit Lijiang again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this hotel again.

After two incredible days exploring Lijiang’s ancient cobblestone alleys and vibrant night markets, I have decided to extend my stay by one additional day. The charm of the Old Town, with its winding canals and timeless Naxi culture, has truly captured my heart. While the past two days allowed me to visit the iconic Black Dragon Pool and stroll along Sifang Street, I realize that one more day is needed to fully appreciate the surrounding beauty. Specifically, I take a day trip to the serene Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, whose peaks have been teasing me from a distance. A final evening wandering the quieter, lantern-lit lanes would also allow for a deeper connection to this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Here's my review after a recent stay with my parents, wife, and child. We booked two rooms, so the comments apply to both. **Location:** 1. It's about a ten-minute walk to the South Gate of Dali Ancient City and Gate 2 of the South Gate. 2. The hotel's location is outside the local traffic control zone, which means flexible and convenient travel. 3. It's relatively close to the Erhai Longkan Observation Deck, roughly 3 to 4 kilometers away. I'd recommend taking a Didi (ride-hailing service), which should cost around 20-30 RMB. 4. The main road outside the hotel has many late-night food stalls, great for an evening stroll and snack. **Hotel Facilities:** 1. Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM, with a wide variety of food options. 2. The hotel has an underground parking garage with direct elevator access to the hotel and front desk. 3. The hotel is designed in a traditional courtyard style with three floors. The first floor offers free traditional costume photo opportunities. It's also very quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep. 4. The hotel rooms have a Chinese-style decor and are clean and tidy. 5. The room photos online accurately reflect the actual rooms. **Price:** You get what you pay for. I personally think it's excellent value for money. **Service:** 1. The service was warm and welcoming. 2. When we asked about local attractions, they provided insightful recommendations based on our schedule, helping us avoid wasting time. 3. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out, which was a lovely touch and made us feel very happy. **Areas for Improvement:** 1. The alley leading to the underground parking is a bit narrow, especially the turn into the garage entrance. If you're not an experienced driver, I'd suggest having someone else park. 2. It would be even more perfect if they offered afternoon tea and some snacks from 2 PM to 4 PM.

The facilities are simple and compact; the space is small but sufficient. The elevator, which many people have mentioned, is indeed a bit slow, but it's acceptable. Breakfast is a bit unexciting, and the gym is quite empty. If you order takeout, a robot will deliver it to your room. The service is very good and responsive. The hotel is located in the old downtown area, at the intersection of several shopping malls: Bailian, Shuncheng, Wangfujing, and Baida are right downstairs. Next to it is the old street night market, which is very convenient if you enjoy the vibe of the old city. In the evening, there's ethnic dancing at Bailian Square, which is very lively.

房間特別大，一進門就心情舒暢了，房間帶的陽台直麪雪山，面前是一個超大的牧場。不管是設施衞生環境還是服務都是一等一的，特別滿意。店裡麪的員工都像是入股了一樣，每個人熱情都特別高。管家驚雲還有一衹好看的小狗狗，特別可愛，還會給推薦附近好玩的好吃的，有什麼需求每個人都特別熱心。 店裡還送了拍照，扎染和製茶餅。 拍照包含粧造，有3張精修照片，基本都是拍的藏族服飾本來沒報期望，沒想到拍出來的效果意外的好，沒忍住還加了精修。 扎染是送的做一個小方巾，店裡麪一點都不會因為是酒店送的敷衍，很細緻教。 製茶餅老闆也很好，給介紹各種茶的知識，品嚐了很多，也都不用消費。茶餅可以回家留個紀念，説是要喝的話最好一年以後再喝，都是做的生普。 總之在這家店過得很開心，很遺憾後面還有別的行程，不能繼續住了。

The breakfast selection was quite good, with rice noodles, a simple salad, fruits, and pastries. It's super close to Heilongtan Park, just around the corner. If you want to see the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise,' you can get up early, and you can even see the snow-capped peak from the rooftop. The owner is lovely and kind, and the front desk staff are very welcoming; they even helped carry my luggage to the car. Thank you! The only minor downside was that the room facing the alley was a bit noisy at night, probably from people returning late from their outings. Overall, it offers great value for money.

The hotel environment is fantastic, with many hot spring pools and lots of trees, plus a variety of small animals. Our room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, and we could even project movies. There's also a small private courtyard outside for a personal hot spring bath, which was amazing. The front desk staff were very attentive and detailed in their service, which was excellent. However, there was a minor flaw: there was no toilet paper holder in the restroom. The toilet paper was placed next to the sink outside the door, meaning you had to stand up to reach it, which was quite awkward.
