GGuest UserAwesome stay at the best hotel in Mindo. Thanks to Marco and team for the superb service, always quick to respond to any enquiry on WhatsApp even before I arrive. He also arranged a driver to pick me to/from Quito, who came in a 4 door 4wd but despite limited English, was really nice and drives safely. Location is convenient as they can always call for a taxi which arrives in minutes and going to town is $3. Birdwatching-wise was good in the hotel, I saw 20 species in 2 days with 2 toucan species, bronze winged parrot and crested guan particularly memorable for me but hummingbirds are few. The room balcony is very productive but the upstairs main lounge has different variety of birds.
I stayed in the luxury cabin which is on a more secluded and slightly higher area than the deluxe cabin. Generally very quiet except for odd moments where loud music can be heard for a couple of songs in day time and also for some reason at around 9pm the dogs bark for 5-10 mins.
But overall, very relaxed and restful stay and definitely recommended to stay here. The saddest part was not staying longer.

Absolutely Outstanding Stay at Hotel Villa Lafayette!
My stay at Hotel Villa Lafayette was nothing short of exceptional. It’s by far the cleanest hotel in all of Ecuador—absolutely spotless in every corner. The entire property is beautifully maintained, quiet, and filled with elegant touches that make it feel both luxurious and welcoming.
The staff were outstanding—warm, attentive, and truly professional. They offered excellent local recommendations and always treated me with kindness and care.
The location is ideal—tucked in a peaceful part of La Mariscal, just a short walk from Plaza Foch and some of Quito’s best restaurants and shops. My room was quiet, stylish, and very comfortable, with a serene garden view that made me feel instantly relaxed.
Breakfast each morning was fresh, generous, and thoughtfully prepared. The entire experience felt safe, polished, and perfectly cared for.
If you’re looking for elegance, cleanliness, and world-class service, Hotel Villa Lafayette is simply the best choice in Ecuador. I would return in a heartbeat!

KKJ SEOWI stayed at ibis Hotel Quito for a three nights and really enjoyed my time there. The hotel is clean, modern, and in a super convenient location — close to restaurants, shops, and easy access to main attractions around the city.
The staff were all really friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions or give local tips. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed — comfy bed, good Wi-Fi, and hot shower (which I really appreciated after a long day out!).
Breakfast was tasty with plenty of options, and the coffee was great too. The hotel also felt very safe, which made my stay even more relaxing.
Overall, it was a great experience — simple, comfortable, and excellent value for money. I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m in Quito

The facilities are exceptional. The restaurant is wonderful and has such a variety of delicious food. The health pool has crystal clear water. My room was much larger than what I'm used to over the last five weeks of traveling. It is easy to get the concierge to book excursions. There are airline check-in machines in the foyer. This is easily the best hotel I have stayed in over the past five weeks and comes with my highest recommendation.

SSergio CaoStaying at the Superstar Hotel in Quito, Ecuador, is definitely one of the wisest choices for this trip! From the moment you step into the lobby, you can feel the hotel's intentions high-rise space with warm color lighting, local artists' oil paintings on the wall, cleverly blending modern design and Andean cultural elements, instantly making people feel more intimate about this plateau capital.
The booked view room exceeded expectations. Open the window to the red-top complex in Quito's old town. The Pitchcha volcano in the distance is looming in the clouds. You can get a flowing natural picture when you open the curtains in the morning. The room is fully equipped, the smart TV can be connected to the mobile phone to cast screen, the details such as a kettle, a mini refrigerator and other details meet the needs of long-distance travel, and the bedding is so soft that people can sleep in the bed, completely offset the fatigue of the plateau travel.
The most surprising thing is the hotel's service. The front desk lady is fluent in English, not only quickly checked in, but also took the initiative to send a Quito map, marked the must-see church, market and observation deck with a highlighter, and even carefully reminded the precautions for altitude sickness. Every day when you go out, the door will greet you warmly, and it will be recommended to wear it according to the weather. This feeling of being valued is too warm.
The breakfast type is not huge, but it is exquisite. The traditional Ecuadorian breakfast ”Holvijo” (tortilla with cheese and fried eggs) is delicious, with local banana jam, sour and sweet; The passion fruit freshly squeezed juice and blueberry milkshake in the juice bar are solid enough to taste the fruit. When I came back in the evening, the lobby bar also provided free hot cocoa, a drink warmed my heart, and the dark street view outside the window was particularly pleasant.
The location is also a plus. It takes 15 minutes to walk to Quito's Old Town (United Nations World Heritage Site). It is very convenient to go to San Francisco Church and Independence Square. There are also 24-hour supermarkets and cost-effective local restaurants nearby.
Overall, the superstar hotel draws a perfect end to my trip to Quito with comfortable accommodation, intimate service and convenient location. If you come back to this ”city on the equator” next time, this will definitely be my first choice!

JJeremy LeeeeThe facilities at this hotel are somewhat outdated, and the decor feels a bit old-fashioned. It would be great to see some modernization in these areas. That said, the view from the upper floors is fantastic and definitely a highlight of the stay. Additionally, the breakfast was quite good, with a decent variety and tasty options. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but upgrading the facilities and decor would significantly improve the stay.

VV100StranA nice hotel, a very large room, a shower and a jacuzzi, they brought water and coffee, and gave you an adapter for the outlet. The hairdryer was taped shut, though. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and bubble bath. But there were no slippers or robes. For some reason, there weren't enough towels; they were small, but overall they were adequate and changed daily.
I wouldn't recommend their restaurant (in the hotel): the pizza was okay, but the soup and pasta were completely unimpressive, and I felt sick afterwards. It's better to check out nearby places with good ratings and go there. Breakfast is okay, not the most varied, but you won't go hungry.

AAnonymous UserGood customer service. My single occupancy room wasn't huge, but it was big wrought and had a big windows that could open for fresh air. HOT WATER in the sinks and showers (thank heavens!). The wifi was slow, but it worked well enough. The front desk is 24/7. The location is also good with many shops, restaurants, grocery stores, public transport stops, ATMs, and more around. I'd stay here again.
