Barefoot Manta Island Resort
4.5/545 Reviews
Barefoot Manta was amazing! We spent 5 nights and had the best time. The staff were incredible, especially the resident marine biologist Rob who was a mine of information and enthusiasm. There are 3 different beaches to snorkel from and the snorkelling was the best we have ever seen, it is a protected marine reserve and we participated in coral planting which was great. The Manta Ray trips happened on 3 of our 5 days, it is a bit of an uncontrolled bun fight with various resorts sending their boats to see the mantas but the Barefoot Manta crew were educated and respectful. The resort is beautiful and has a lovely vibe, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We stayed in a double Bure on the sunset side, it was a permanent tent and it was all that we could have wished for, right on the beach. The meal plan is really expensive by our standards, I would have preferred an al a carte option as I have food restrictions and I found that eating salad and rice for almost every meal was boring and repetitive. The staff did try though, however $40 Fijian for salad and rice was a bit on the nose. Bring snacks! It would have been good if they could have made the tea/coffee available all day and maybe had something available for afternoon tea as it is 6 hrs between lunch and dinner. We do recommend this place.
Blue Lagoon Beach Resort

Let me talk about the advantages first: The location is good, in a relatively good area of the Yasawa Islands, the sandy beach is delicate, the sea water is layered in color, and the natural environment has nothing to say, great! Let's talk about the general situation: Most resorts on the Yasawa Islands have a mandatory meal package plan, which will be explained in advance before booking, and the meal fee is paid in the past. The price of this restaurant is 159 Philippine dollars per person per day (three meals). Next are the disadvantages: 1. There are many mosquitoes on the island, but the original ecological environment is like this. It is understandable. It is recommended to bring enough mosquito repellent to the island. 2. The garden villa (two-bedroom) we live in, our room and the room next door both have a regular air conditioner, and the other has a temporary refrigerator. The sound of the temporary machine is super loud, buzzing all night, and sleeps lightly Choose carefully. 3. Key complaints: The check-out time of this hotel is between 9:30-10:30 in the morning, but no one told them verbally or in writing when checking in. At 9 o'clock in the morning on the day of check-out, the hotel forced the guests to leave and wait in the hotel rest area (the boat to the island arrives at the pier at the hotel gate at 1 noon). At our insistence, the hotel arranged a temporary waiting room, which can stay until 12 o'clock. I found out after chatting with other guests (asked three or four hotels), that no one was informed of the check-out time when they checked in (one of them saw the written notice posted by the hotel on the bed the night before check-out, so he knew half a day in advance This matter), many people are in a hurry early in the morning and it is embarrassing 😅. Feedback on this matter with Ctrip, Ctrip is very active in handling it, and has worked hard to make compensation, and now the hotel's check-out time has been updated. But the service attitude of the hotel should be carefully considered when booking this hotel😅
Octopus Resort

Xanadu, the sea view is superb. The food is good, suitable for relaxing yourself. The beach is great, the sand is round and doesn't cut your feet. The menu changes every day. It is rare for Chinese people to communicate in English. UnionPay does not support it. The Internet is only available in the restaurant and it is not reliable, but the wifi in their office is good and can be used in emergencies. On the island, you can email them to pick them up, or take the South China Sea cruise ship
Navutu Stars Resort

This is the closest place to paradise. Maybe the outer island is the same, but the difference is that the staff will take the initiative to help you arrange it every day. The activities of the day are different every day, such as taking you out to sea snorkeling in the morning and giving you coconut culture in the afternoon. And almost all of them are free. They will use the most easy-to-understand English and body language exchanges. There are many opportunities for other tourists on the island to meet, and because of the activities, everyone communicates like a neighbor, friendly, and eats. Take their best, and the price is really the cheapest, even if there is only one person at every meal, the black brother will play guitar for you not far away, accompany you with the most beautiful songs in the local area, their Service staff and event staff, we are like family, chat, dance together, go out to sea and play together, I never thought that I would not want to leave this place, anyway, I will definitely come again, here is really worth it! ! !
Barefoot Kuata Island Resort

Great service! Great lunch and good dinner! They propose you the snorkelling with the sharks which is amazing! It is must do thing in Fiji and in life! They have also a good diving center and you can dive also with the sharks which is awesome The shared bathroom facility is really clean and new! Just a negative thing is the safari room, the tent room is great idea but it needs some adjustment and if it is windy you feel like you are sleeping after the stars! But If they improve the tents it is perfect! I liked also the cocktails and the guy at the bar was really funny!

In addition to the price point, the other is good, the food is also very good, that is, the island is not very big. With the old man and the child, I went to the back of the mountain, very beautiful.
Waya Island Resort - Adults Only

Bula! This may have been our favorite vacation of all time, hands down. From the first moment we stepped foot on Waya island and were greeted by the welcome song of the incredible staff till the moment we tearfully left we felt cared for, appreciated, and absolutely relaxed and happy. Our check in was led by Moji, who should be the ambassador of the island if he isn’t already, he showed us to our bure which was beautiful and so clean. The outdoor private shower was incredible and we loved having our front porch to sit on at night and listen to the ocean (which was basically in our front yard). Over the course of the week we got to know a bunch of the staff, big Api, small Api, captain Jim and Mac, Ela, Sulu, Lui (restaurant) and Lui who taught us how to make bangals, Tiki who maintains the grounds, and so many more who’s names have escaped me. Every member of the staff was kind, caring, informative, friendly, and made us feel like family. The all inclusive food option was perfect, breakfast was delicious every day and had options for eggs and waffles etc and also a delicious fruit plate, lunch was light and healthy, and changed daily which also included a scrumptious dessert. (Do NOT miss those banana fritters they are killer.) Dinner was often fish with local vegetables and always included a starter and dessert as well. We loved that the food always felt (mostly) healthy and was different every day. It was also incredibly reasonably priced. They offer daily excursions that are very reasonably priced as well, we did several snorkeling trips and the sights were absolutely to die for. Do not miss this amazing resort!
