GGuest UserWe were supposed to stay a night on the 3rd, however due to total disaster with the snow (police closing roads, snow gates shut, buses not running, train cancelled last minute) we were unable to travel and had to cancel the onwards travel plans. We explained the situation providing evidence that it was not possible for us to get anywhere and kindly asked if possible to amend to another date, but were refused. Stayed in the hotel before, not a bad place, but very disappointed that they had not been more understanding of our already disrupted start of the 2026.

GGuest UserAwful. Initially I was in a double room. Women daily 0540 by loud music which I believe was the kitchen staff starting breakfast preparation. Moved to single room on my final night. The heating on full was the difference between having a cooler box or a freezer. No cable other than power cable for the TV so no reception whatsoever. This was pointed out to the reception desk who told me no maintenance staff were available due to rostering. A coaxial cable would probably resolve the problem. However that was not provided. The staff were polite but had their hands tied on what they could do to resolve the issues. Just an awful experience sadly as the hotel is in a prime position. Polite staff who had to attend to a number of embarrassing complaints from other guests.

GGuest UserThis is a genuinely nice hotel sat right on the banks of the River Ness and a few minutes walk from the center of Inverness. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast had a good range of choices and was delicious. The staff were polite and friendly and were very happy to fuss over my small child!

GGuest UserReally great Hotel. Cheapest around as well so don’t really get when people book cheap hotels and complain that it’s not 5* 😂. Location is amazing. The Loch is beautiful. Staff are really nice. Rooms have everything you need and are quite spacious. Food is really good although a wee bit expensive but still good sized portions.

GGeoff_Great staff, nice room, very comfy bed but let down by some grubby stains on the carpet and a previous guests medication and yoghurt left in the fridge. Would stay again though

GGuest UserThis hotel located at the highland area of Scotland, I and my wife stayed at this hotel before we driving to Is of Skye. The room is large and shower room is bright and clean enough. The beds and other equipment inside the room are satisfactory. My price include simple buffet breakfast which I think the food quality is good enough. Only one disadvantage is, there's no lift and some rooms need to walk up and down staircase, if for elderly or too many luggage travelers, it may a bit inconvenient.

AAnonymous UserRoom was very good and clean but it turned out that you could hear every move of the people in the room above. At 6 am this particular person decided to do his 10000 steps a day in his room and it sounded as if an elephant was marching through. No way to continue your sleep so we ended up having to get up and we left the hotel at 7.15am. I had complained the night before but since the hotel was fully booked there were no other options. I was told it was because of the wooden structure so obviously it was a known issue and they should NOT book both rooms at same time. They also had 2 dogs behind unmanned reception and one of them yapped continuosly for an hour whilst we had our dinner. As we finished dinner they started bringing out cornflakes etc for breakfast for the following morning and left this uncovered, thought this was very unhygienic. Alcohol prices way too high too ( bottle of wine £35.50). All in all not a good experience and wouldn't recommend.

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel was perfect! Our room was facing the loch nearby and it was amazing to wake up to such a beautiful view of the loch. The hotel and rooms were clean. The receptionist was lovely too!

GGuest UserMy Mum and I stayed here for a night, we wanted something special and we had a lovely experience! This hotel may be old but I felt that was part of the charm, especially because you can pick up a paper at the desk which tells you all about the history of it (including how Mae West had a room there!). The man at reception was lovely, as were the bar staff, and we had a great sleep in a cozy, nicely themed room with a great bathtub. My Mum especially appreciated the Bible being left in the bedside table as well. That may have been done by a guest but it was nice that the staff left it there nonetheless in case somebody wanted to read it. There were a number of little touches like that, and we had a garden view which was lovely. Also the breakfast was included in our booking, and well worth it! I'd recommend this stay for anyone looking to have a nice night in the Scottish countryside!

SSu_M.SThe room was spacious enough for 3 people with luggages. The view from the room was very nice with the lake and mountains. Our room was at ground level so we had direct access from our room to outside which is the lakeside and it was very nice. but keep the doors closed all times after used as it is near the lakeside and ground level. we saw a snake (not poisonous) in the grass outside the room in the early morning. The foods and drinks at the restaurant was nice although abit pricey. The view from the restaurant during breakfast in the morning was beautiful. You can bring swimsuits if u want to use the Hot spring in the hotel. We didn’t get to use but it looked nice. There is a co-op near the hotel. The only thing I wish they were better during our stay was the attitude of some staffs. The guy with the bald head was kinda rude to us during breakfast.
