I'm so disappointed with their service when it comes to cleanliness..I do understand how busy this time of the year, but they should be consistent with it comes to cleanliness.I always choose HOLIDAY IN EXPRESS because I have very good experience last year (NEW YEAR) in scotland branch and it was amazing experience..so I thought it would be the same here in HI Express Bath..We travelled as a family and my son 11y/o is Autistic, with ADHD and OCD as well as allergies...this kind of bed(sofa bed LINEN is unacceptable to whoever will stay there...we were told to wait until we occupied our room for this sofa bed to be ready, still we are not provided with bed sheets for this...really devastating,so sad and disappointing...

Z Hotel’s location is excellent. Central yet not too busy with lots of eating options (including in-house restaurant reasonably priced), Five Guys burger and Pizza Express virtually next door. Sainsbury and Tesco Express for groceries and tidbits within easy walking distance. Roman Baths and Abbey less than 5 mins walk. Pulteney Bridge & Weir, Guildhall Market all within a hop and a skip away. Room is typical small size but comfortable. Staff is superb and friendly, luggage storage provided with a smile. Love! Bath is fantastic. I can definitely live here and enjoying all the parks. Even in the frigid coldwave, I bundled up and explored all the gorgeous parks & gardens feeling like a Bridgerton extra promenade-ing🤣❤️
You can see the city on a small hill, the environment is good, the soundproofing of the room is average, the kitchen has a pot but no stove. Room 2 is on a super steep staircase, the soundproofing and heat preservation of the room are average, and the heating is broken. I fixed it myself and it was barely warm on the second night. The front desk and staff are very friendly and solve the problem in time. But I may not stay again. I can stay in Premier Inn for a little more money.

We loved our stay at the Landsdown hotel for New Year’s Eve. Only a short (but steep downhill) walk to the town centre and the Royal crescent which suited us very well, and the parking was perfect (apparently this is one of few hotels to have parking in the town centre although we paid £15 per night, but was allowed to stay until 4pm the next day). Breakfast was included and was delicious, the staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they were super knowledgeable and helpful. The room itself had a nice view of the town, and had everything we needed. The only criticism was our window didn’t open but there was a fan supplied in the cupboard. Would definitely recommend and would come here again :)

Absolutely love the hotel. From the location near the train station and centrally located to the beautifully decorated rooms and lobby. Staff are friendly and always welcoming. I will definately stay here again.
The environment is good and the room is big enough. But knowing that there are four of us, there are only three beds, which is a bit inconvenient. The service is not good. When eating, you can hear all kinds of noises from the waiters, which is annoying. The plates fell on the floor twice. If there were no local guests next to me, I would have been too sensitive to think that they were showing off to our family. It is a pity that the service of such a good hotel is not as good as the hotel.
Special thanks to Manager Emilia and the team at Holiday Express for making our stay wonderful. The hotel was spotless, the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, and the price was very reasonable. It’s a great place for families – our kids loved the swimming pool – and the bar was a nice extra for relaxing in the evening. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely return!
Very friendly and welcoming, accommodating staff who are helpful with requests and a fab location right in the centre. Nice breakfasts. Rooms are exceptional value, albeit some areas / parts of the rooms are a little rough around the edges. Would definitely visit again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

GGuest UserThe hotel location is excellent and it has a lovely antique vibe with a modern twist, the bathroom is spacious as well. Things that could be improved: one light bulb is dead, the small bedside LED reading light on one side of our bed doesn't work, the kettle needs some descaling. We found a hair tie left on the floor carpet, maybe it was left by the last guest in the room.
LLiam and JennyAttended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful.
We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest.
The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss.
One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go.
Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109.

SStephen_LeungEverything went well as rated, except for the following unpleasant experience. Despite a phone call reminder in the afternoon - before housekeeping closed for the day - the hotel failed to clean my room. We ended up spending the night with an uncleared rubbish bin. If not for the helpful staff, I would have given a one-star rating under the ”Service” category. I only wish the reception had done more in their service recovery efforts.

GGuest UserIt was a very special reunion for a group of nurses celebrating 50 years since we started our course in May 1975. In those days this hotel was a nurse's home and we all lived here for around 18 months. We had booked lunch, the food was lovely and the service was amazing. We so enjoyed our stay, 5 of us stayed for one or two nights. So beautiful and peaceful, couldn't have been better. Benice organised things for us, highly recommend her if you are booking an event.
GGuest UserThe hotel is extremely close to all the main attractions and just a 5-minute walk from Southgate Shopping Centre. For those driving, discounted on-site parking is available; overnight parking was around £10 after a £6 discount. The staff are friendly and attentive, often checking in to ensure guests are satisfied. Highly recommended for a stay in Bath!

GGuest UserA must-stay for Bath hotels. It is one of few hotels to have in-house spa facilities for guests to use for free. I liked the location too – it is next to the Roman Baths.
GGuest UserThe hotel is attractive and full of charm, with a pleasant aspect facing the church, however, the surrounding area of Bridgwater is rather run down. Staff were very efficient and checked us in quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the restaurant as it was closed due to it being Father's Day. Our room was ok, and had a large bathroom with both shower and separate bath. There was plenty of hot water available, but aware that it was almost scalding when allowed to run without cold added. The bed was comfortable and the room well equipped with tea facilities, ironing board and iron and hair dryer. Due to the age of the building, there was a lot of noise from residents walking around in the rooms above ours, but it wasn't too obtrusive. Breakfast was very good with a choice of full English or continental and my gluten allergy was catered for. If you need to stay in Bridgwater, then I would recommend The Old Vicarage, but we would probably look in the villages further out of the town in future.
