"Very satisfied with hotel facilities and services. Arriving early, I stored my luggage and received the room key. When I returned to the hotel in the evening, my luggage had been put in the room. The room is very clean: the bedding is very comfortable, the bathroom facilities are new and clean, There are heart-warming biscuits, freshly baked mini sponge cakes, and (heated) air conditioning; toiletries are made of 100% natural ingredients; the breakfast is rich and delicious; it is close to the train station, making travel convenient. There was a train passing by outside the window, but the sound insulation was good and the train stopped running at night, so it was not affected."

GGuest UserRoom was very hot with no air con so none of my business colleagues got much sleep/ rest. A small fan in the room didn't do a lot. Staff weren't the most helpful or clear. We booked a spa hotel so our team could relax in the morning and get a jacuzzi following a long work day the day before. The hotel then told us we had to pay an extra £30 to use the spa as we had booked through trip.com and not direct (which would've been free spa access). It just felt like we were being charged the commission they have to pay booking playforms. Overall I wouldn't book the hotel as we came away unrested and not relaxed. Hotel looked nice, but a bit dated overall.

WWorldismyOysterGreat stay. Upgraded to king premium room being Diamond IHG. Breakfast option was limited. Take away coffee was a great option. Parking was a bit pricey £10 per night. Room was spacious. No fridge in the room. Service was not tip top. I asked for a refill of coffee sachets but it was not done promptly. Had to remind at the reception. Overall, still a great stay.

GGuest UserA Comfortable Stay with a Few Surprises As one of Marriott’s brands, I expected a little more, but overall, the hotel delivers the essentials for a pleasant stay. The rooms are very spacious, with two double beds—perfect for a family holiday. The indoor pool and the gym is a nice touch, though it’s worth noting that external guests can also use it. Things to keep in mind: Parking – There’s a £7.50 per night charge, which feels a bit steep. The website mentions free parking for conference delegates, so it might be worth asking at check-in. Holding Charge – A £50 pre-authorisation is applied to your card. While common in some places, many UK chains no longer do this, so plan ahead if your card balance is tight. TV Experience – The TV system could use an upgrade. Menu and guide functions weren’t available, and picture quality was poor—even on HD channels. Room Details – The room was spotless, but we noticed condensation on the windows and a slight odd smell on arrival. Nothing major, but worth mentioning. Overall: The hotel offers the comfort and space you’d expect from a reputable brand, but a few details—like parking, the TV system, and the holding charge—felt out of step with Marriott’s usual high standards. Still, if you’re looking for a clean, spacious room and good facilities, it’s a solid choice.

TTataE1009The hotel's location is convenient, right near the train station, and it also has parking, which is great for self-driving tours. Although the room is a bit old, it's generally tidy, clean, and well-maintained. The air conditioning works well. While the breakfast options aren't extensive, the portions are generous, with a hearty full English breakfast.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel because they had air-conditioning and with the excelled. The bathroom did not look properly cleaned, especially the bad tub and we had to have our bedsheets changed because they had markings and they duvet had a red stain. Breakfast was terrible and definitely not worth the £16 per person you would pay otherwise. There was a lot of variety, especially if you are vegetarian and the other thing is that the breakfast area was very small. They had a large group tour of guests in this particular setting and day it was Italian guests and it was just chaotic. Stuff are friendly.

GGuest UserOur stay at this hotel left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. While I wouldn't go so far as to say avoid it entirely, I can't recommend it or see myself returning. The room, advertised as having a king-size bed, disappointingly turned out to be a double. Despite the hotel's emphasis on green choices, the room was unbearably warm upon arrival. We had to open both the windows and the door just to cool it down. This lack of basic comfort seemed counterintuitive to their eco-conscious branding. Furthermore, small but crucial amenities were absent, such as a hairdryer, and some lights weren't working. The absence of an in-room phone meant there was no easy way to request these missing items, adding to the overall inconvenience. The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. The so-called buffet consisted of a small, albeit pleasant, continental breakfast. However, being asked immediately upon arrival if we'd like to pay an additional £10 for a cooked breakfast made the setup feel misleading. At £14.50, the continental breakfast alone did not feel like good value.  The restaurant also had a notice about a £2.50 charge for menu amendments. While I understand the principle of upcharges, this particular policy felt excessive and off-putting. These issues were compounded by a lack of personal touches that form the foundation of good customer service. No one asked at checkout or during breakfast how our stay had been, a small but impactful gesture that could have mitigated some of our disappointments. In hindsight, I feel I overpaid by about 20-30% compared to the value I received. Knowing what I do now, I likely wouldn't have chosen this hotel for our stay.

GGuest UserJust outstanding service all around. Whatever we asked for - can you keep some of our food in fridge yes. Can we have bowl for own cereals, yes, can we have extra blanket yes, can we have chilled water yes. All yes with a smile. Manager Vishal Chib and Receptionist Kyi Kyi were just outstanding. Wish other UK hotels learn what is service from them!

GGuest UserGreat overnight stay at the Swindon Holiday Inn.   Room was fresh and fully stocked for tea and coffee.  Shower was great.  Breakfast was well laid out, although mushrooms and a choice of egg styles / pastries could have tipped the balance to match a Premier Inn.   Staff on reception, breakfast and room housekeeping were so friendly and helpful.  The value for money was excellent.

GGuest UserOur stay may have been coloured by the rainy weather because in sunnier times the views from the Leigh Park Hotel would have been even better. The train station to Bath from Bradford upon Avon is very walkable but it is downhill from the hotel (some very steep bits) nearly all the way and after a busy day in Bath we elected to get a taxi back the walk back up that hill would have put a downer on the day (and I normally do 4 mile runs twice a week, so I am pretty fit!) The room we had was really big, as was the bathroom. The shower was really powerful and got warm almost immediately. The staff were really friendly and the the ambience of the hotel was classy. The breakfast area looking out over the grounds was really nice and I'd definitely like to sit there and enjoy a drink on a summer's evening. I managed to charge my electric car with the type 2 charging station. Unfortunately, it only delivered 7 kW so I only managed a small top up. The hotel breakfast was self service but the containers that were holding the food failed to keep it particularly warm. That is something that could be improved. Also the breakfast choice could have been a little wider (e.g. no tomatoes were offered as part of the English Breakfast). Having said that the breakfast tasted good. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would consider visiting again.
