Stayed in this hotel again after returning from Arima & Awaji, all baggage already kept in our room and ready for check-in at noon, hassle free. This room type has a desk without the sofa bed which we booked for the first night, it seems to be more useful. Coin laundry at 6F & 9F. Comfortable stay.

I booked this hotel mainly for the view, and it definitely delivered. The west-facing room looks directly out onto the Ferris wheel, making it feel like a living painting from the window. The small balcony was perfect for fresh air and enjoying the scenery. The hotel is located within Meriken Park, offering a quiet escape while still being in the heart of Kobe. There's a free shuttle bus service to and from Sannomiya Station, and you can explore the park right outside the hotel. For shopping at Daimaru and other areas, it's about a 1 to 1.5 km walk through the park, or you can take the free shuttle bus for flexible travel. As a long-standing landmark, the hotel has been around for years. While it has undergone renovations, the lobby and interior still retain a sense of history and age. The basic services and facilities are all fine, but nothing particularly stands out. Considering its location and view, the weekday prices offer good value for money. However, weekend prices are a bit high, so staying during off-peak times would be more economical.

The “sea view” was very disappointing and honestly not what I expected at all when booking this room. What made the experience worse was the pricing issue. After my booking became non-refundable, the hotel price dropped by around 30%, which was shocking. I’ve never had this happen before. The explanation that the lower price was a different non-refundable rate doesn’t fully justify such a big drop. On top of that, trip.com customer service only gave me an update after I followed up four times, which was frustrating. Check-in was also a poor experience. We arrived around 9pm with a child, and there was no staff at the ground floor to help with luggage at all, even though the reception is on the 17th floor. After check-in, there was again no assistance with luggage, which was very inconvenient when travelling with a child. Despite my booking clearly stating one adult and one child, there were no kids’ amenities provided, not even a child’s toothbrush.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in front of the Citizen's Plaza tram stop, making it very convenient to get to from Kobe Airport. You can also take the hotel's shuttle bus from downtown Kobe, which runs every 20 minutes and departs from Gate 8 on the first floor of MINT. The room is spacious and even has a small balcony. There are parks, IKEA, and supermarkets nearby, and it's not far from the ocean.

The hotel's location is great, nestled between Sannomiya and Motomachi stations, making it super convenient for getting around. It's also on a very bustling street, so you just step out and there are plenty of dining options. Despite that, the room was very quiet and spacious – we even had room to open our luggage without a problem. Plus, they offer complimentary snacks in the afternoon! I'd definitely stay at The b again next time I visit; it's a solid recommendation.

I had a wonderful **3-night stay** at Seaside Hotel Maiko Villa Kobe. The location is beautiful, with relaxing seaside views and a stunning look at the Akashi Kaikyō Bridge. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and professional, and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable stay, and I would gladly return and recommend this hotel to others.

This was my second stay at Hotel Okura and it's definitely the most satisfying hotel I've experienced across all my trips to Japan. Even though it's an older hotel, opened in '89, the interior is incredibly well-maintained. The elevators, especially, are so smooth and fast! We stayed during Chinese New Year this time, and the service was excellent. A bellboy helped us with our luggage up to the room (though it seems this service isn't always available, as it wasn't during my last visit). The hotel boasts unbeatable ocean views, and the back exit leads directly to Kobe Port. While it's not in the bustling Sannomiya area, it's only about a ten-minute walk to places like the Former Foreign Settlement and Motomachi for dining and city walks. Kobe has so many interesting little shops to explore. There's also a shuttle bus service to Sannomiya. I just discovered this time that there's a FamilyMart convenience store right on the hotel's lobby level, which is super convenient. The room was a generous 40 square meters, which is incredibly spacious for Japan. For the same price point, you'd be stuck in a tiny shoebox in Osaka, Kyoto, or Tokyo. The TV now comes with Netflix! (This is a huge improvement over the terrible TVs at places like the Vessel Hotel in Osaka, where I could never get screen mirroring to work and there were no channels). While Kobe might not have as much nightlife as Osaka, my family was happily binging 'Single's Inferno Season 5' in the room. The toiletries provided are Pola, and there's even an umbrella in the room.

It was the first time I stayed at Shimahana, but I was impressed by the good service of the New Awaji Group. I was able to fish at Yumesen Kei and caught two cherry blossoms, but they cooked and served for dinner at night and it was very delicious. The rest was processed cleanly and I was able to take it home. Shimahana is located a little far from the opposite bank, but I enjoyed it without any problems because I could pick up and drop off the hot water. I want to go to Hokans again

Excellent location just outside Himeji train station. Quiet rooms with comfortable beds. The room was little on the warm side during my Dec/Jan stays.

Great hotel, great value for money, easy to find, convenient to the airport, clean and comfortable, great hot springs. The hotel is European style, spacious for 3 people, I was so happy that I forgot to take pictures of the room, but took pictures of the view outside the window!
