"Overall, it was okay. I arrived at 12:30 and they allowed me to check in straight away. It's located between Omicho Market and Higashichaya. While it's close to Omicho Market, it's not exactly in a great location.

The rooms are average. The doors don't auto-lock. They're reasonably spacious. The bathroom is very small. The room quality isn't high, but it's not inconvenient. It's nice that the TV is a smart TV.
There are no particular issues, but there aren't any special services or facilities, and it's not particularly good value for money. There are many good, cheap hotels in Kanazawa, so personally I prefer regular hotels."

GGuest UserThe hotel's overall design is stunning, and the traditional Japanese ambiance envelops you from the moment you step through the door. The use of gold, red, and black makes the entire hotel feel elegant, dignified, and luxurious. The products in the on-site gift shop are also very unique and beautiful, making you want to buy them, and they aren't even particularly expensive.

Wwuzhi0603The room was spacious and conveniently located right after turning right from the JR station's south exit. The lobby offered complimentary drinks and beverages daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The ambiance was also excellent, perfect for a vacation. My only minor complaint is that they didn't provide face cream or facial cleanser, which I've become accustomed to at Japanese hotels. I almost ran out of the ones I brought myself.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is clearly showing its age and may not meet expectations for those looking for a more modern or well-maintained stay. While it carries the IHG branding, the overall experience feels dated.
One of the main challenges was communication. The front desk staff had very limited English proficiency, making it difficult to get clear directions—especially regarding parking. Guests are required to go to the front desk to ask about parking arrangements, which is not very convenient. The signage outside is also misleading, and it’s easy to mistakenly park at a nearby open-air lot that charges ¥100 per 15 minutes or ¥1000 for 12 hours. The hotel’s designated parking is actually located in a shopping mall, which is not immediately obvious.
The rooms themselves are quite old, with worn facilities. The bathroom had a noticeable musty smell, suggesting poor ventilation or maintenance. Amenities were basic—Dove toiletries were provided instead of the more commonly seen Pola brand in Japanese hotels. The air conditioning was also ineffective, which made the stay less comfortable.
That said, the hotel does have one strong advantage: location. It is directly opposite Ōmichō Market, making it very convenient for exploring the market and enjoying a great local breakfast.
Overall, this hotel may be suitable for travelers
who prioritize location over comfort, but those expecting a smoother and more modern stay might want to consider other options.

The hotel's service is meticulous and considerate, and the staff and driver are kind and kind throughout the whole process. Whether it is check-in reception and demand assistance, they are patient and thoughtful. They are considerate of the guests everywhere, making people feel at home instantly. In particular, free shuttle service is also provided, so that you don't have to worry about traffic problems, which saves a lot of trouble for the journey, and the caring degree is full.
The room is clean and comfortable, the environment is quiet and elegant, you can hear birds singing, the air is fresh, I can sleep well without even turning on the air conditioner. The desserts in the hall taste sweet, so pleasant surprise 🍓, there is a small gift shop to buy.
The hot springs in the museum are warm and comfortable, and the complete personal soaking is a lot easier. Especially the waterfall hot springs, the water flow is just right, can massage the shoulder and neck parts, relieve the stiffness and fatigue of weekdays.
I sincerely thank all the service staff of Xiduoba Hotel for creating such a comfortable and comfortable accommodation environment with heart. GGuest UserI only left this place this morning, but I already want to go back. It felt like a home, the host/owner and his wife are super lovely, greeted me every time I came back or said goodbye to me whenever I left. It felt like I was coming home at the end of the day. You get a tea on arrival and I opted for the bento box breakfast for my first morning. I came down at 10 and it was there waiting for me, they play nice Japanese music while your waiting downstairs, although the hosts weren’t fluent in English we could communicate just fine, there English was good enough, although I did try to speak Japanese, the room was so nice and big, I love a tatami room it’s so cosy, I liked snuggling up in the bed at night and watching my tablet, the bathrooms where nice and I just loved the ryokan feel. If I ever find myself in kanazawa again which I willl, I will most definitely stay here again! If you don’t book here your not doing kanazawa right.

GGuest UserLook no further, Mori no Sumika Resort and Spa is absolutely wonderful! The staff are amazing, the rooms are spacious and well appointed, the property to include the hot springs baths is excellent - the food offerings for breakfast and dinner changes each day, the chef serving the freshest seafood, meats, vegetables. It’s a beautiful place that you’ll never want to leave and for sure come back to sooner than later.

Environment: The transportation is extremely convenient. It truly lives up to its reputation as the number one hotel in Kanazawa.

Tttf13Very high quality, comfortable, and beautiful hotel at reasonable price. Its location by the castle makes it very convenient for exploring the castle and Kenrokuen on snowy days.
Its Kaga Ryori dining is exquisite and value for money! The hotel shop has a very good selection of products at reasonable prices.
The onsen has cold and hot bath, as well as a sauna with TV.
The hotel is very thoughtful and generous in providing free ice cream treats after onsen, and onsen bath powder set for customers taking green measures (not requiring cleaning and change of bedsheet every day).

SSvetaLThis was a wonderful hostel to stay at, and really made me enjoy my stay in Kanazawa. It's right in the middle, beyween the garden, the samurai district and the chaya district, so it was perfect for getting around, and very close to the train station. The people working here are super sweet and they even have some plum wine in the evenings for guests. The staff mainly stays in their sister hostel, however the hostel itself is very secure and the door is always locked. It's always nice for a quick rest as well between wandering, and there's a delicious ramen restaurant a minute walk away.
