This hotel exceeded our expectations. Traveling with our 8-year-old daughter, we were provided with a triple room. Its location is exceptionally convenient, with a dedicated walkway connecting directly to Okayama Station. The room itself was very spacious. We would have loved to try the breakfast, but as we had an early train to Takamatsu the next morning, we couldn't book it. From the smooth check-in process, it was clear this was a well-established, high-star hotel that truly prides itself on its standards.
The hotel is a bit of a walk from Kurashiki Station, and navigating the cobblestone paths through the scenic area can be quite tiring with luggage. On our return, we had the hotel arrange a taxi, which cost 1200 JPY.
The hotel grounds are beautiful, and its location right in the Bikan Historical Quarter makes shopping incredibly convenient. Rooms are clean and quite modern. Just be aware that if you select the 'Do Not Disturb' option, towels will not be replaced. The breakfast restaurant offers an elegant setting, primarily serving Japanese cuisine, and you can even take coffee to go after your meal.
Overall, it's a very high-quality hotel.
Facilities: Very well maintained.
Cleanliness: Spotless.
Environment: A 5-minute walk from Okayama Station, surrounded by shops and Izakayas (Japanese pubs).
Service: Very friendly and welcoming.
The room was spacious and comfortable. It's close to the station and there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so it's convenient. I stayed here for business, but I'd like to stay again.
We stayed in a deluxe corner double room for one night. There was nothing to block the view in the corner room on the 11th floor and the view was good. The room was too large to see the large TV. King size beds, furniture and lights are also nice. Air purifier, hair dryer, room clothes and bathrobe, wash towels, 2 types of face towels, bath towels, foot wipe mat are prepared, shampoo conditioner body soap The soap soap soap bath oil soap skin care is also very substantial. The bathtub, toilet, shower, and washroom are all independent, and the shower in the shower room is an ordinary shower in addition to the fixed type of upper, upper, lower, upper, left, and lower left. I used Kishinagora. Toothbrushes and room clothes for children are also prepared and cute! I made a plan with breakfast, but I was so satisfied with the menu lineup that I couldn't eat lunch. It was a short walk to the Bikan Historical Quarter, so I extended my legs twice, but there were no tourists in the early morning of 6:00 and I enjoyed the scenery of Qing 々. It is a 10-minute walk from Kurashiki Station, a 5-minute walk to Bikan Historical Quarter, and a 2-minute walk to Family Mart. It is an inn that I want to repeat.
I had a pleasant 1-night stay at Hotel Abest Grande Okayama. The location was convenient, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was well-maintained and provided everything I needed for a short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. Overall, it was a good choice, and I would stay here again.
The room was clean and tidy, although the lock system and other features seemed a bit outdated. However, while many hotels these days do not provide coffee in the rooms (either stick coffee or simple drip coffee), but instead provide coffee servers in the lobby, the hotel did not have either of these, so I was disappointed that I couldn't drink hot coffee.
It is a bit far from the station (taxi 2300 yen), and the terrain is slightly higher, so you can see Okayama Castle in the distance. Very quiet, the room is spacious and clean, and there is a public open-air bath (paid). Typical wedding/conference hotel. Breakfast was until 10:00, and when we arrived at the restaurant at 9:15, there was not much food left. When I was leaving, I bought a Bizen-yaki Momotaro at the front desk. Since each Bizen-yaki is different, I asked to pick one from two, but was refused. ...Being very polite and well-behaved does not mean having a service spirit.
Dinner and breakfast were delicious.
It's a little far from the Yugo Onsen day-trip facility, but since I was planning to relax at the hotel, I made the right choice. I was able to relax in the hot springs. The open-air bath was also great.
The scenery is so beautiful, very comfortable and first-class service! The proprietress and the driver staff are kind and friendly! If you buy a jrpass, you can make an appointment to pick up and drop off. It’s free at Kurayoshi Station and highway tolls at Tsuyama Station, but it’s worth it. Time is money. I gave a small gift before I finally left, looking forward to going again next time!

GGuest UserThe location is great. Unfortunately, it was raining so we couldn't take a walk in the museum garden. They provided umbrellas which was helpful. It was a very cold day so it would have been nice to have a large public bath. Overall, it was very good.

BBoscoayThe location is quite remote; you won't find convenience stores or similar amenities nearby for late-night errands. It's best suited for those driving, and only really convenient if it's already on your planned route.
The views are excellent, offering a wide, panoramic bridge view. It appears most, if not all, rooms face the same direction, guaranteeing this bridge view.
The onsen was decent, though the outdoor bath could have been warmer.
Breakfast was superb – definitely make sure to add it to your booking!
WWoailvxingdianyingyinyueyueduThe Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter is a bit like the Jiangnan water towns of China, with its fresh and artistic atmosphere, weeping willows, boat trips, and many interesting little shops. I chose this hostel in Kurashiki for a night on my way to Okayama, and it was a wise choice. Kurashiki's beauty deserves to be savored, and this affordable and unique hostel added to my wonderful memories. From JR Kurashiki Station, walk towards the Bikan Historical Quarter, cross the shopping street, and it's about a 15-minute walk to the hostel.
The hostel is located in an alleyway near the main tourist area, with a simple, eye-catching white exterior. The staff were cheerful and welcoming. They showed me to my room and explained the location of the bathing facilities. Although I don't speak Japanese and my English is limited, their kindness and patience were truly wonderful.
The hostel has a bar on the first floor, and the next building is the accommodation. I stayed in bed 215C, which was clean and comfortable. There is a women's bathroom on this floor, with three shower rooms. The showers had good water pressure and were well-equipped with fresh towels and bath linens. I purchased a sandwich breakfast for the next day at the front desk for 800 yen. The breakfast time is from 6:30 to 9:30. The two flavors of sandwiches are very delicious, and there is also black tea and yogurt, which I like very much.
