Hotels With Bar in Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, Morocco

I was welcomed very friendly by Hotelmanager Omar el B. I got this beautiful room with panoramic view of Tangiers and at the other side the swimming Pool. He goes far for his guests and speaks fluent Arabic, French and English. The hotel is tot a Golden Tulip hotel anymore but the service is still great. As an example I needed a top-up prepaid card for my mobile internet services and the crew went out and bought it for me. Every time I come back from outside the doormen welcomes me and the manager is always waving at me. It’s the second time I stayed here with the same experience and in August I will come back again to this beautiful hotel with great staff, spa and swimming pool were you can chill in peace without the noice from a busy city.

The room is super great and is out of our expectations! the facilities are comprehensive and the location is super close to the train station of Tangier! We had two wonderful night at this hotel and it is highly recommended it to you!

Service / location / reception at the top as well as the very clean and maintained swimming pool. Disappointing on the furniture and the cleanliness of the standard / classic rooms. So I changed rooms by going to the premium ones, the rooms are more spacious, pretty and clean.

My husband and I stayed 5 nights in late April 2023. We arrived from Casablanca, by high speed train. The train station, clean and modern, is right across the street from the Hilton Tanger. Upon arrival we were upgraded from a king exec room a to junior suite. Loved the room. It was spacious, big bathroom with separate tub and shower, 2 sinks and bidet. Lots of closet space. Housekeeping brought us extra pillows that we requested. We were on the 8th floor facing the sea so we had a view of the coast. We could see Spain in the distance and the ferry coming and going to the Tangier port. Before going for breakfast we made coffee in the room with the capsules provided. The breakfast buffet is great, lots of variety, eggs on order, hot and cold dishes, Moroccan and Western. The restaurant is on the 15th floor with fantastic views over the beach and the sea. There is a mall attached to the hotel. I bought a nice Tshirt in a ladies shop and we bought some snacks at the supermarket. We walked down to the beach and along the boardwalk area that stretches for a long distance toward the port and further east. It is so clean. Workers regularly clean beaches and streets. You rarely see plastic bottles or wrappers strewn about. We took a taxi to the Medina 2 days in a row and wandered around. One day into the museum. It was okay.

My wife and I were in a trip around Morocco, starting in Marrakesh and finishing in Tanger. This hotel was a terrific idea to rest of the trip, to be near of the shore and restaurants. The people is very kind and the room is amazing

This was a difficult stay at this hotel. The hotel did not appear to be set up for the season and was severely impacted by Ramadan. The bedroom was basic, but clean and comfortable. TV didn't work but it didn't matter. It was noisy, not from the hotel but from the street outside as people seemed to go on the street after dusk till around 02.45am. Dinner supplied was fine, although they only had 1 bottle of wine in the whole hotel and approximately 4 bottles of beer. There were 20 in our party and other guests staying. There were only about 4 small bottles of soft drink to purchase. The bar did not open until the second night. Breakfast was poor on day 1 and worse on Day 2. There was 1 waiter who worked very slowly. 1 pot of coffee for 20 people which of course ran out quickly, not enough cups and not enough breakfast. Day 2 there was also another group in and so when we arrived at 08.00, there was no breakfast left, no coffee, no hot water and not even any cereal. We bought breakfast at the train station later that day. Whilst we could make allowances for the fact that Ramadan was taking place, this does not excuse the breakfast issue, which was unacceptable.

This hotel should be a relatively cost-effective hotel, close to the beach, the room has floor-to-ceiling windows.

Beautiful hotel, amazing pool, delicious variety of breakfast, overpriced lunch, but be-aware that this hotel is on the outskirts of Tangier, so very far from the centre about 1 hour drive if your lucky with the traffic! also if you don’t have a car then this hotel is not suitable for you, as medina taxis don’t come here, it cost £35 for a vip taxi from the hotel and that’s expensive.

Had 2 rooms for the hotel. Average room, rather old. Renovations are in progress thus maybe caused the lack of service, had to wait rather long while checking in and in comparison with other moroccan hotels, no welcome drinks or familiarisation was given. There was no rooftop access for any aerial view despite strategically located next to the wonderful beach and nearby all the main attractions of the city. Staffs were friendly though, facilities and maintenance fell short for that last star.

During a three-night visit in July, my wife and I were captivated not only by the enchanting charm of Chefchaouen but also by the unique allure of our chosen accommodation. Chefchaouen, with its picturesque blue-painted buildings, is a haven for travelers seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life. This quaint city is surrounded by natural wonders, and its rich history is exemplified by attractions like the old mosque, Sabanin, and the neighboring school named after the 18th-century Muslim theologian Soulayman El Hawat. The neighborhood's watermills, notably the hotel's previous incarnation as a watermill, serve as a testament to the city's ancient past. Our chosen abode, Hotel Molino Garden, proved to be a rare gem at the heart of Chefchaouen. Situated on the outskirts of the old city, the hotel's calm ambiance was an oasis within an oasis. The magical garden, a collaborative effort with the neighboring primary school, transported us to a world of serenity. Designed with impeccable taste, the garden featured bamboo trees, goldfish ponds, and an ingenious layout that cocooned us from the city's clamor, while seamlessly connecting us to the majestic mountain backdrop. The hotel's rooms were an embodiment of comfort and history. Our first night was spent in the Garden Room, a cozy apartment with two bedrooms and a living room, all overlooking the captivating garden. Despite the summer heat, the room remained naturally cool, eschewing the need for air conditioning. The second night introduced us to a separate apartment adjacent to the hotel - a meticulously restored old house exuding aesthetics and charm. Once again, the absence of air conditioning was hardly a concern, as the natural ventilation kept us comfortable. Our final night at Hotel Molino Garden saw us in a cozy room on the upper floor, providing a glimpse of the lively alley leading to the hotel entrance. Each accommodation told a unique tale, seamlessly blending modern amenities with the city's rich heritage. No visit to Chefchaouen would be complete without indulging in its culinary delights. With guidance from locals, we embarked on a gastronomic journey. Restaurant Bab Ssour stole our hearts with its delectable local offerings and incredible flavors. The restaurant's two branches, both boasting stunning terraces and panoramic views, were equally enchanting. Another culinary highlight was Restaurant Triana, where a delightful breakfast and a riverside terrace provided an unforgettable dining experience. Although the food was mostly exceptional, a minor hiccup was encountered with the Tira Asada, where the beef's dryness detracted from an otherwise delightful meal. For quick bites and refreshing juices, the main square led us to MIDO's. Their impeccable falafel and warm hospitality made it a go-to spot for rejuvenating snacks.

We stayed here as part of an Intrepid tour group. Located in the Medina, we walked in from the main road, with our suitcases brought to the hotel by private courier. Otherwise, you’d have to drag your suitcase through the Mattie, hilly Medina streets. Our room was small: room for a very firm queen bed, a bureau and 2 straight backed chairs. Others in our group had much larger rooms. Our small windows faced outside, which meant street noise at night and in the early morning (roosters crowing and call to prayer) but this was fairly minor. Others in our group had windows opening into internal hallways. Cute Moroccan decor. Shower took a long time to warm up. Minor adjustments were needed as it came up to temperature to avoid a scalding. Water pressure was low and varied by water temperature. Good breakfast options: plain omelettes, goat cheese, olives, tomatoes, cucumber (both peeled), Moroccan bread.

Positive - rooftop terrace is high with a great view 2nd rooftop terrace with also a nice view - Large clean rooms - perfect AC - one of the better breakfasts we had (ask for peanut buttern, it's really good!) - clean - ok location, but parking is not easy Negative Very few, and more minor annoyances, but wanna suggest improvements - small bathroom sink area - no hooks to hang things - no tables to put suitcase on - not enough chairs on the 2nd balcony All in all a very enjoyable place -

Casa Meryem is a quaint accommodation atop a hill in the blue city. There are several different rooms on different levels in the building. The views are beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. We loved staying here and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The city is magical and the people friendly and non-assuming. We missed Youssef when he tried to pick us up at the bus station. We got a ride to the medina and we got a little lost looking for Casa Meryem. We stopped in an establishment and had them call Casa Meryem for us. Someone arrived immediately, helped with our bags and led us to our destination. Their response time is almost instantaneous. We had two bedrooms with 5 beds, an eating area, small kitchen and bathroom. Upon arrival Youssef served us tea while we visited with him and asked a million questions. While the ”Casa” is wonderful, the true gem here is Youssef. He is knowledgeable, patient, kind and willing to take you anywhere, help you find anything and make thoughtful and insightful suggestions as to things to see, places to go and the best way to get there. He personally escorted us wherever we wanted to go if we needed him. He was always available and responded immediately. He arranged our private taxi to Tangier. Once we arrived in Tangier and realized that our place was sketchy and we didn't trust our hosts to arrange transport to the airport I texted Youssef and asked him if he could help us. Rememeber that, at this point, we are 3 hours from Chefchaouen and will not see Youssef again during our travels. In other words he had no incentive to go so far out of his way to help out two American women. My sister and I were traveling with 5 teenagers and none of us speak French or Arabic. Youssef took all our travel information, figured out where we needed to be picked up, and within 30 minutes had arranged 2 separate transports to the airport for us for the next day. All of this was made more difficult because the place we were staying had no wifi so our communication was sporadic and tenuous at best. He checked in with me the next morning after my sisters transport had arrived to make sure everything had happened as it should. He continued to follow our progress throught out the day ensuring that we had made it to the airport and then arrived at our first destination. I cannot say enough good things about this man. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at villa Rita. It’s not right in the Medina which for us was a bonus as we like to stay away from the action in quieter neighborhoods. It’s a short cab ride ($2) from the Medina or a 30 minute walk. We visited at a non peak tourist time so we were given a choice of rooms. They are spacious…bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and kitchenette. Very nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and well appointed. There are 2 outside rooftop terraces for relaxing and nice views. The breakfast was incredible. We had the choice to have it on our room or on the balcony. So many offerings delivered to our room…a lovey over easy egg, crepes, rolls, cheesed, lovely fresh fruit, olives, fresh squeezed orange juice. It’s a guest house, not hotel, so the desk is not staffed so if you want full concierge service you might want to choose a hotel. But, we were warmly greeted and oriented and given keys to the outside door/gate as well as our room so we could come and go at any time. I highly recommend this beautiful, charming, place for your stay in Chefchaouen!
