Pro :
Hotel with beautiful design.
Magic mirrow with bluetooth connect to handphone. Can play music gao gao when bath.
Bed is very comfortable.
Breakfast taste good.
Con :
Superior Room is small, size about the same as Tokyo hotel room.
Shower area even small til I almost stick to wall to take bath.
Facilities in this hotel not bad, they have rooftop golf, pickleball, game room, swimming pool, table tennis, co-working area, meeting room, gym room, etc. Their breakfast restaurant is spacious but breakfast choice is surprisingly quite limited and slow in refill. The parking area is the worst ever, the parking space very narrow, really don't understand how their architect design the parking space. If you are not driving to this hotel, I highly recommend you stay in this hotel.
We had a lovely stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut 🤍
The resort is peaceful and surrounded by nature perfect for a short family getaway to unwind from city life. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and waking up to the greenery and sea view was truly refreshing.
What we enjoyed most was how kid-friendly the resort is. The kids had so much fun with the pools and outdoor spaces, and we could actually relax knowing they were happy and occupied. Breakfast was good with a decent variety, and the staff were consistently warm, polite, and helpful throughout our stay.
Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience for both adults and kids. A great choice for families looking for a calm beach resort vibe. We’ll definitely consider coming back
Newly renovated room on 8 floor. Very decent room and breakfast for the pricing. Parking outside the hotel . Good location near to airport and petrol station.
Hotel is under renovation but still is decent enough. 41 RM for breakfast for 1 pax seem cheaper than booking online which is for 2 pax and higher price.
My 3rd time stay at this hotel. Overall i can say is the first (2022) and second (2023) better than this time (2025). I don't know why, but I think they need to upgrade their facilities (shower, television channel, mini refrigerator, cleanliness of mattress, got stain on it) cause its look old ☹️. But, the service soo good. They sooo friendly and welcoming. I feel very comfortable and make me want to stay again and again at Novotel whenever I go to Taiping. Btw, their breakfast quite good.
Charming Boutique Stay in the Heart of Ipoh.
A lovely boutique hotel beautifully furnished and centrally located in Ipoh. We especially enjoyed the cozy lobby and its charming Art Deco touches. Rooms are limited, so it’s best to book early, particularly during holidays and festive seasons.
We stayed in a duplex room, which was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The room was well-equipped with thoughtful amenities, including a hair dryer, slippers, a filtered water dispenser, a Nespresso coffee machine, and disposable toiletries—more than what you’d typically expect from many hotels.
Breakfast was very decent, with made-to-order options such as Western dishes or local nasi lemak. There are also plenty of local coffee shops and eateries nearby if you’d like to explore other breakfast choices.
The hotel’s location is a major plus. It’s within walking distance of popular Ipoh attractions like Concubine Lane, Memory Lane Market, and Mural Art’s Lane, as well as the famous Lao Wang beansprout chicken. There are also numerous food options around, and it’s just across from Palo 101, a trendy spot popular with youngsters and a regular venue for New Year’s countdown celebrations.
We enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and stylish stay in Ipoh.
My wife and I had a truly wonderful stay at The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat. Everything about the experience was near perfect. The setting was stunning, with majestic limestone cliffs forming a beautiful backdrop. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The outdoor hot springs, indoor hotspring soak, and the private plunge pool were incredibly relaxing. The à la carte buffet breakfast was delicious as well. The buggy service around the resort was efficient, which was great since the walk between villas and facilities can be quite long.
Guests also receive free entry to the Lost World of Tambun if they join the Jungle Walk—however, do note that the walk involves quite a bit of climbing with many steps, so anyone with mobility concerns should take this into account.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay, and I genuinely feel it was worth the money spent.
Basic hotel. Reception was nice and polite. Cleanliness was good, bed was clean. Room was carpeted, not sure how clean the carpets were, but it didnt smell bad. Noise was loud from pub just directly opposite, so for lightsleepers, better look elsewhere. Has EV charger at basement car park.
Best for value guest, short overnight stopover.
