Hotels With bar in Northland, New Zealand

The in-room Wi-Fi was unstable, and the TV was not connected to the internet, so we couldn't even watch Netflix. I brought this to the staff's attention, but unfortunately, they were unable to resolve the issue. It was frustrating that such basic amenities were not functional during our stay.

Nice environment. Clean unit. Comfortable. Minor complaint would be that the lighting was a little dim and could have done with coffee plunger in room. Did not eat at hotel restaurant. Good place to stay.

It seems to be the only hotel in Whangarei. The location is fantastic, right across from the famous Hundertwasser Art Centre and within walking distance. The breakfast is just a standard Western breakfast, so don't expect too much. The lighting control in the room is the most frustrating part—there are only two settings for the whole room: either super bright (basically all lights on) or just two blindingly bright bedside lights. As for the bathroom, it's on a single switch operating both the light and the extractor fan, so if you want to leave a light on at night, you have to put up with the noise.

I didn't know what to expect when I booked this establishment. It looked OK though I thought I might find it a bit further from the main Paihia town than I liked, but it turned out that I really enjoyed the walk to and from the town. We've booked ourselves in the cruise to Hole in the Rock the next day and talking to the helpful staff, we booked the spa followed by dinner at The Glass House on that day and we really enjoyed our day. The massage and facial was really relaxing, and the dinner was superb. On top of that, I love the room we had which was just by the pool. We are able to enjoy the hot tub which was really relaxing too. Everything was just fantastic. Overall the hotel was just a joy to stay in and I was glad I booked 3 nights.

We spent 2 nights recently and found everything to be excellent. The room and location was beyond our expectations. We had room service and breakfast in the restaurant. The food was excellent. A truly enjoyable experience.

A return trip to the Copthorne - I do like this place. The bathroom again needs an upgrade and the fridge is too small. All else was good which is why I keep returning. Have never eaten in the Hotel so cannot comment. Bar staff are scarce and usually distracted. But I keep coming back……..a beautiful location, close enough to the township but far enough away. I will be back - in fact have already booked for late April 😎👍🏻 Enjoy….

The scenery is good, there are more bugs in the room. The facilities are also basically close to the limit of needing renovation. However, it is very good to have such an supporting facility in the big countryside. The young lady at the front desk is also very good. In addition, if you want to use an outdoor heated swimming pool, it is best not to live in a single building. The area where the single house is located is too far to the pool, to drive around from outside.

Going in the summer in New Zealand is just one word, expensive! Those who do not play golf are definitely not recommended to live. Even if you play golf, Kauri Cliff Golf is not as good as you imagined. But regardless of the price, the hotel's service, catering, and environment are indeed very good. The price is not high.

Hi there, I wasn’t very happy with my stay as the beds were stained. Also the toilet was filthy and the shower head was broken. Was wanting a refund as we ended up leaving early

Breakfast and dinner buffets have a wide choice of dishes, so you won't get tired of eating every day. The room was bigger than I expected. The location was very convenient and nice. It was a cheap hotel to spend.
