Guest UserFantastic location! The hotel is right across from the lake, and there's a supermarket nearby. It was a good stopover before heading to the fjord. The original room I booked had a plumbing issue with a strange smell, but after speaking with staff, they moved me to a different room. It was alright in the end.

The main reason to go to Invercargill is to check in at the world's southernmost Starbucks. Etc. The hotel parking lot is in the public parking lot diagonally opposite. You need to register your license plate at the front desk before you can park, but it is free. There is a shopping mall in Invercargill and the world's southernmost Starbucks near the hotel. There is also a Queen's Park to visit. The town is not big and not crowded and very quiet.

Outstanding accomodation at the bottom of the South.
The rooms were warm, fresh and relaxing.
We used the valet parking which was fairly priced and the car was parked up safe over night.
The hotel offers plenty of options for dining and beverages, that provides you with plenty options on a cold wet night.
I’m looking forward to our next visit.

Was priced very cheap - room clean but very dated , camp kitchen needed a good scrubbing, broken amenities and no washing machine working - BUT hospitality was great and restaurant attached gave us one of the nicest and cheapest meals we had - took some famous sausages to cook away with us.
We were in hostel so was cheapest accommodation they had - 4 people room was only $100

The worst hotel in a 10-day trip. It's called a motel, but there are no kitchen facilities, and there is no public kitchen. The sanitary facilities are in poor condition, the faucet splashes, and the shower gel in the shower room is damaged. It usually receives Chinese group tourists, not suitable for self-driving tourists. The restaurant serves group dishes, and the price of a la carte dishes is very expensive. The chef is from Hebei, and the dishes are salty. The only good thing is that the guy at the front desk is very enthusiastic.

Guest UserThe motel unit we stayed in was fantastic and had everything we needed. I found our stay to be great value for money and the room is serviced everyday, which I was impressed with!

yuhongBreakfast is made by the host and the couple themselves, a very warm and kind old couple. You can learn a lot of local attractions and practice English by the way. The room decoration is artistic, clean and hygienic, and there are towels and shower cap hairdryer in the bathroom. But because it is a homestay, you can't cook by yourself.

I originally booked a lake-view apartment, but they upgraded me to a villa suite for free because of renovations. The hotel felt like it was nestled in a garden; although many flowers weren't in bloom this season, you could still see signs of careful landscaping. There were even benches outside overlooking the garden.
