The rooms are very quiet, rare in this place in Lexington, the air conditioning sound is very small, the fountain in the lobby is beautiful, the service is good, the business travel is good, the temporary booking price is high. Everything else is fine! Breakfast is also good
The hotel was gorgeous. The river view rooms were awesome and roomy. The indoor pool with the glass windows and fire pits outside were amazing as well as the Staff and the restaurant/bar!
The rooms have stunning views. Although the hotel was opened in 1972, the facilities are very new. The rooms are cleaned every day. The only inconvenience may be that the rooms in the East and West Towers can only be accessed through the corridor on the 3rd floor, and the hotel's exclusive parking lot and gym are both in the East Tower.
Beautiful property, very kind staff! Close to downtown, but I wouldn’t call it walking distance. In-house cafe, restaurant, and self-service shop area. I did think nearly $7 for a small smartwater was a bit much, but that’s just convenience pricing, really. Very nice lounging spots, inside and out. Multiple entrances make it a short distance no matter where you’re at in the parking lot.
Sucks they don’t have a pool, but they do have a fitness area so that’s good. Honestly didn’t care for the TV in the room much. Wish there was a better way to get on any streaming service instead of having to figure out Bluetooth (which I couldn’t) or having to bring a Roku stick or something.
Overall good stay :)
The hotel is European, high-end and elegant. The room is very spacious, including a small living room and bedroom. The bed and pillow are very comfortable, soft and clean. The bathroom is my favorite. The design is so thoughtful and meets all the needs of accommodation. In particular, the two hooks on the wall are beautiful and practical, which can be said to solve a big problem. I don't understand why many hotels can't configure a few similar hooks in the bathroom? The only drawback is that there is no free bottled water in the room. Everything else is very satisfactory.
Hotel is nice, bed is comfy and the location is spot on for accessing the majority of Louisville. It is a great spot for those visiting for leisure which also comes with its flaws, once people finish partying it was quite loud at 0200 from both guests and those outside in the streets. You can hear everything from next door and in the corridors. Breakfast is good, bar staff were attentive and overall a pleasant visit.

”Exceptional Stay at the Galt House Hotel - A Louisville Gem!” I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality and elegant ambiance set the tone for a truly memorable experience. The location of the Galt House is unbeatable—right in the heart of downtown Louisville with breathtaking views of the Ohio River. It’s within walking distance to many attractions, making it perfect for both business and leisure travelers. The moment I stepped into the lobby, I was struck by the grand, modern decor that beautifully blends the hotel’s historic charm with contemporary elegance. The room I stayed in was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room offered stunning river views that made waking up each morning a delight. The amenities were top-notch, from the plush bathrobes to the high-quality toiletries. I truly appreciated the attention to detail. Dining at the Swizzle Dinner & Drinks restaurant was an experience in itself! The rotating restaurant offers a unique and elevated dining experience with panoramic views of the city skyline. The food was exceptional, with a variety of locally inspired dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary preferences, showcasing genuine care and hospitality. The service throughout my stay was exemplary. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to ensuring my stay was perfect. From the concierge who provided excellent recommendations to the housekeeping staff who kept everything spotless, the level of service exceeded my expectations. I also had the opportunity to relax at the hotel’s RIVUE Tower Pool, which was a tranquil oasis after a day of exploring the city. The facilities, including the fitness center and spa, were well-maintained and provided an additional layer of luxury to my stay. Overall, my experience at the Galt House Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. It’s a fantastic blend of southern hospitality, luxury, and comfort. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Louisville. It’s not just a place to stay—it's an experience you won’t want to miss! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
MMareaHarrisNICE LOCATION, NICE SPACIOUS ROOM, WE LOVED THE HAPPY HOUR AND APPETIZERS AND JUST A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO STAY. VERY COMFORTABLE BED (PILLIOSW NOT SO MUCH) SHOWER GOT REALLY HOT WHICH WE REALLY APPROECIATED. ONLY ISSUE FOR US IS THAT WE DID HAVE A PET SMELL THAT WAS UNBEARABLE AT TIMES BUT THEY SAID THEY DONT BELIEVE OUR ROOM HAD A PET IN THERE BEFORE OUR STAY. I HAVE BAD ALLERGIES AND SNEEZED ALL NIGHT LONG
We were impressed with and enjoyed everything about this hotel. If we had to pick what stands out the most it would be the friendliness and service of all the staff we came in contact with from the front desk to the cleaning staff and the server at the buffet which was, by the way, amazingly good. We've stayed here before and have never been disappointed.
The staff were professional, engaging, and courteous. The room was spacious, inviting, and extremely satisfactory. It may have had the largest bathing area I've ever seen in a hotel. Everything was both elegant and charming. Loved the bar area and the staff running it were also engaging and professional.

We had a good stay. Be sure to take your complimentary voucher down to breakfast if you purchased it as part of your stay because this will be required before you ca get your breakfast. The breakfast was reasonable. There was a good selection but some of the food was overcooked, so hard sausages. Anna at the front desk was really helpful and gave us a recommendation of where to eat. It would be really great if there was more water in the room.
This was a really nice, unique hotel! The rooms are smaller than I thought, but still nice and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. The 18th floor restaurant is a higher class restaurant with a business casual dress code. We did not know this, and went up to see it and was met with a little rudeness by an employee. We were dressed very casually for traveling but when we asked to see a menu to see if we might want to eat there, she said, “if you can afford it.” She may have been joking, but it was not professional. Otherwise, staff was very nice. Check-in was super busy and had to wait about 15 minutes, but the staff was apologetic for the wait, friendly and helpful.
Just stayed at an aloft in Tulsa and have stayed with these properties before. This one had everything I needed: quick turn availability, great proximity to where I needed to be, friendly staff, very clean room, very comfortable and near lots of things to do. Can't speak highly enough about this hotel brand ...
Very nice ”Boutique” style hotel in Nulu. Walking distance to many local restaurants and bars. Room decoration was excellent - nice and colorful. But found the room a bit dark in the evening. Upstairs 6th floor bar and lounge was excellent - server Lee was superb! And a hotel suited more for leisure and vacation travelers. Breakfast service does not start until 8:00 am, and was on the slow side. And no in-room coffee. So would highly recommend for a leisure stay in Louisville - would re-think for a business stay.
