We had an unforgettable evening on the grounds of this hotel. You can buy food for the parrots and wallabies right at the reception desk, which was such a fun experience. We were also able to easily wash and dry our clothes. The cabins were clean, in excellent condition, and everything was working perfectly.
The staff was very friendly and the night guide was great. He took us to see the penguins on the grass outside the room, which was very convenient. The beach nearby was also beautiful. There were rabbits and kangaroos outside the room.
Breakfast is simple, but very rich; the drinks and milk provided in the room are also very sufficient. Sea view room, the location is very good, just in cbd, not far from the little penguin observation point. The room was clean, quiet and the fireplace was warm. Laundry and drying each requires 4 knives.

Let me start with the conclusion. This place is definitely worth staying for a few more days. The nearby beach is so beautiful when the weather is fine! It is definitely the most special beach I have seen so far, including the east coast of the island. It is super comfortable and relaxing to sit on the rocks and stare blankly!
Facilities: It is the facilities of a motel, but it is clean and tidy with electric blankets. Parking is also very close. There are wild kangaroos nearby. If you stay for a few more days or arrive early, you can go boating. If you have children, there is even a small playground nearby. This room type has a small building for each room, and there is a dedicated parking space. It is said that you can see little penguins nearby, but it was too late and you didn’t go.
Hygiene: The hygiene is still OK, but there is indeed no toothbrush, so you have to bring your own. After 6 pm, the front desk is off work and you need to check in by yourself, but we were given the nearest room and the information guide is still very good.
In addition, if friends are driving here from Hobart/Port Arthur in the future, try to choose highways starting with A or B when choosing the route. This time, Google Maps navigation has a large dirt road in the middle and you can only drive at 40-60 km/h. It is really difficult to drive. There are many bends, no lights, many wild animals, and big potholes on the road. Remember to set off early!
Resort in a nice location right by the bay with private beach area and the breakfast was really good. Also have ample space in the resort to explore on bikes and wild wallabies to observe at dusk too.
Service is generally good and depends on who you engage with too. We loved the space in the cabin and the fact that you can look out into the sea from the room itself.
The location is excellent! Very easy to find, easy to park, close to the sea, and you can see the little penguins returning to their nests when you leave the camp at night. Although there are not many penguins, unlike the groups of penguins on Phillip Island, we saw more than 10 penguins in total, and they were very close. The room facilities are relatively complete, but the bathroom is small and there is no place to put toiletries. There is a supermarket next to the camp, which is also convenient for shopping, but the supermarket closes at 16:00 and opens at 8:00 in the morning.
With a stay at Penguin Waterfront Escape in Penguin, you'll be on the waterfront, just steps from Penguin Tourist Information Centre and a 4-minute drive from Mount Montgomery State Reserve. This beach apartment is 0.1 mi (0.1 km) from Penguin Beach and 0.3 mi (0.4 km) from Penguin Undercover Market.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as a private beach or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. Additional amenities at this apartment include complimentary wireless internet access, a television in a common area, and a picnic area.
Grab a bite from the grocery/convenience store serving guests of Penguin Waterfront Escape.
Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.

YYasmineeeeI recently stayed at Wrest Point and would definitely stay again!
My room was a highlight—spotlessly clean, super comfortable bed, and a stunning view of the bay that made my stay extra special.
I really enjoyed spending time at the Birdcage Bar. The cocktails were fantastic and the atmosphere was lively—highly recommend for a fun night out.
Staff-wise, my experience was mixed: some team members were amazing and made me feel welcome, while others weren’t as friendly or helpful as I’d hoped. This didn’t overshadow my overall positive stay, but it’s worth mentioning.
Highlights
• Beautiful bay views from the room
• Impeccable cleanliness
• Super comfortable bed
• The Birdcage Bar: great cocktails & vibe
• Would happily stay again!
Tip: Be sure to request a room with a bay view - it’s worth it!
KKongyanThe high-end motel built by the lake, the car stops at the door of the room. The furniture is quite new, close to the yacht club, the surrounding scenery is very good, in fact, it is worth staying a few more nights. The reception was warm and I sent sweets when I left, super nice

GGuest UserWith the playground, game room and sports facilities no wonder this is a destination for family. Enjoy the kitchenette in our room, with laundry $4 per load. Seems to be clean but when U look closer it can be pretty dusty in the bedroom (as shown) - attention to those allergy to dust mite. Still a bit unsure why our room was wide open waiting for us to check in - maybe that's the reason why the bathroom seems to be used (without flushing) when we arrived
JJasmine pei shi- clean room with 3 beds
- has body wash, shampoo and conditioner
- hotel has a laundry area (need to pay AU4 each for washing and drying + AU1.50 for the laundry powder)
- near the pool side but was closed for maintenance
- About 10mins walk to the restaurants and beach.
Yyyyy2302The room was very small, the end of the bed was only one person away from the table under the TV, there was no place to put luggage, and there was no place to open the boarding box. The facilities are simple, not very clean, the room is not soundproof at all, the next night is late, the next morning is a packaging car, it is clear and audible.
GGuest UserOverall, the cost performance is good. The location is perfectly convenient. I received a very polite customer service. The room is comfortable and perfect.
SsongweisThe room is clean, well-equipped, and has a good environment. It is located on the bay and you can watch the sunset at night. The seafood in the restaurant is fresh and tastes good. A 20-yuan meal voucher is also given with the stay, which is great value.
GGuest UserLarge spacious clean room with huge ensuite bathroom. Great split system unit as it actually heats the room (we've stayed at other properties where the heating has been less than adequate). As per other reviews - interesting no contact check in - although instructions provided were clear and precise. Excellent value for a clean large modern room.
