Facilities: The facilities were excellent and fully equipped; we had everything we needed, including a washing machine, and the air conditioning was very powerful. Cleanliness: The place was spotlessly clean and very tidy – excellent. Environment: The environment was superb! With the ocean right outside the window, the view was absolutely stunning and perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sea. Service: The owner was incredibly warm, thoughtful, and attentive.

We had such a wonderful stay at this apartment. The moment we stepped inside the apartment, we just felt like going back home. It’s spacious, bright and airy with a little kitchen and a big and beautiful balcony with a fantastic view. The owner/staff is so friendly and helpful. All of our requests will be handled swiftly. The apartment will be cleaned and restocked with all the necessities everyday. We booked for two nights but extended 5 more nights. That tells you how we like the apartment so much. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

Spent Christmas on Weizhou Island, staying three nights. Arrived on the island at 2 PM on the first day, and the hotel sent a car to pick us up. After enjoying the complimentary afternoon tea, we headed out at 4 PM to take photos at Xiashiluo. We had dinner at the hotel that evening; although a bit pricey, the dishes were absolutely amazing 👍 The second day was dedicated to whale watching. I went on two trips and actually saw them! The captain mentioned that the success rate for whale watching is 90% from March to April. On the third day, the sea was too rough for water sports (over 7-level winds), so we rented a car to tour the island. I highly recommend checking out ”Huan Dao Bookstore” and ”Jingye Restaurant.” Hotel highlights: The service was very prompt, and the pool was heated. I went for a swim every night… it was wonderful, swimming while admiring the starry sky.

The hotel is located right by Silver Beach, with direct access to the sand. As expected from a five-star hotel, the facilities are top-notch. The buffet breakfast area is spacious with a wide variety of dishes. We received a complimentary room upgrade, which offered an even better view. I need to give a special mention to the service. The bellhops were very proactive upon our arrival and departure, helping with luggage, which was much appreciated. The front desk lady who checked us in was also very friendly and efficient, deserving praise. Then came the main issue. There was someone next to her, who seemed to be in training, helping write key cards. Even the ID registration was handled by the first lady. This person only wrote four numbers, then asked to add me on WeChat, saying I could contact them anytime during my stay if I had issues. They sent some Beihai travel tips prepared by the hotel and some check-in reminders (like breakfast times and WiFi password). However, I didn't encounter any issues during my stay. After checking out, this 'customer service rep' sent a WeChat message, asking me to write a positive review for her. When I didn't respond immediately, she followed up, insisting I include a specific code and send a screenshot after writing it. This made me quite uncomfortable. In reality, her 'service' to me amounted to writing one key card, asking to add me on WeChat, and sending generic automated messages. There was no other service provided. If I were to write a review, it wouldn't be for her; it would be for those who actually helped me (like the bellhops, the check-in front desk staff, and the other front desk staff I consulted later). I won't name names, as the hotel might have performance review requirements for employees in this regard. I just hope the hotel considers this situation. If WeChat is to be used, it should be by someone who is fully responsible for the customer's entire experience. Another front desk staff member worth commending: when I was on my way to the beach, I passed the front desk and casually asked the young man where to find sand digging tools. He immediately pointed me in the right direction. Also, considering I might be rushed the next day for checkout, I asked if we could have a half-hour late checkout, which he arranged perfectly for us. The overall communication was smooth, and his tone was very friendly and enthusiastic. One small suggestion: it was my birthday on the day of check-in, but the hotel didn't offer any surprise or birthday wishes (yet I was still asked to write a good review). This felt a bit below five-star standards (I've stayed at several other five-star hotels before, where either the staff proactively wished me happy birthday or prepared a surprise). Overall, the hotel is still good. The environment is pleasant, it's clean, the location is excellent, most of the staff are friendly, and it offers great value for money (I forgot to take photos inside the room, but I took a few pictures of Silver Beach from the balcony, and the view was beautiful).

The service is very good, and I feel at home. The front desk staff is very attentive and considerate. Xiaolin in the business negotiation room is very friendly and answered our questions politely and sincerely throughout the whole process. The service is really in place and very good, worthy of five-star praise! I will bring my family here to play during this National Day!

After returning from Weizhou Island, it was a hassle to pick up my large luggage from the hotel with the baggage claim ticket and then take it to the ferry. The hotel service was excellent; they stored my big luggage for 4 days, which was a huge help. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for a total of 10 days and took a trip to Weizhou Island – truly the best of both wellness and travel.

房間整體還可以吧，我選的正海景大床房，就是沙發顯的有點陳舊，畢竟酒店就在海邊臨海，先不知道開窗户就有蚊蟲之類的，後面就不敢開窗户了，窗簾拉開就可以看到大海日出，日出挺美的，住了兩晚，入住當晚看了夕陽，兩天早上都看到了日出，酒店與薩維爾酒店共用一個沙灘是同一個建築，性價比高，去白浪灘，白沙灣，怪石灘都挺方便的，客服也還好吧，我看房間沒配一次性用的拖鞋，打電話給前台，立馬就送上來了，晚上也安靜，如果有早餐就更好了。

Beihai Shangri-La Hotel The reception staff service was good — Dash Lim were polite and helpful during check-in. However, I was disappointed with the room condition. The carpet near the window was always damp, and by the second day when I returned from outside, the room had a strong unpleasant smell. I’m not sure if it was due to the low air-conditioning, but the entire room felt musty and uncomfortable. Hope the hotel can look into improving room ventilation and cleanliness.

After comparing several hotels and B&Bs, I finally settled on this one, and it was the most satisfying. The hotel's location is super convenient, right next to Jinshatan Beach. The views of the boardwalk and the sea from the room are absolutely beautiful. The service was impeccable! The room was also very comfortable, and there wasn't a trace of odor in the bathroom, making for a very relaxing stay. The restaurant is also a sea-view restaurant, giving the whole experience a wonderful vacation vibe.
