Beach Hotels in Abruzzo, Italy

We booked this hotel for 9 nights, from August 18, 2023 to August 27, 2023. In the first night an extremely noisy event (which we understood from the Reception when we complained is a DAILY event between 20:00-24:00) from the nearby hotel. No one from the hotel warned us about this. Also, this was not mentioned in the description of the hotel on the website. When we talked about this at the reception, they did not offer any solution. They knew about this problem. They said that they will try to give us another room in a few days, but an worse room that the one we paid for. We checked out the next day. The other negative aspects which are misleading in the description are: Wifi is very poor, room is too small for queen size bed (the balcony door hit the bed, bedside table furniture missing on the balcony side of the bed, balcony without privacy separators, fish smell on staircase at the day of our arrival very scarce breakfast (the day at our checkout and departure). During the breakfast, waiting in line for somebody to slice cheese and ham, waiting in line for somebody to prepare eggs. (Nobody there for the 20 minutes we took breakfast). It seems that Sea Lion Hotel retained the Covid 19 restrictions which benefit their side and limit tourists services, fitness and Spa are out of work, but they marketed it as they offer these sevices. This hotel is a 3 hotel at best, not as it is listed, as a 4 hotel with a rate of 190 euro/night!!! Of course, they don't want to reimburse the money. Molto carino centrale personale disponibile , ottima colazione , il mare è raggiungibile a piedi . Possibilità di utilizzare il delivery , molti ristoranti in zona , parcheggio gratuito poco più distante dalla hotel . Si può arrivare anche in stazione infatti è molto vicino

La posizione dell hotel è ottima per il centro e anche per la spiaggia. Lo staff gentile e disponibile, non fiscale negli orari di fine colazione e check out. Colazione buona e molto varia sia nel dolce che nel salato. Volendo, è possibile trovare anche parcheggio nelle vie limitrofi, oppure metterla nel loro parcheggio provato a pagamento.

The hotel is close to the highway and was an easy choice when you just need a quick overnight stay on the way to your final destination. Nice pool area, but hardly a hotel I would spend a week's holiday at.

Totally hate the staying here, it ruined my hollyday even from the begining. So: I made a reservation from Romania for 2 persons : me and my daughter and they asked for a 2night deposit (even if they advertise as not necessary). Anyway, I paid for the deposit and when I got at the property, I was told I need to pay for the whole staying in advance…weird but I agreed with that. I was assured that my 246 euros (the initial deposit) would be returned in one day or two. 5 days later ane I still don’t have my money back. The toilet broke while I was there asked for it to be repairted, the shower was horrible and the walls dirty. What really bothers is the attitude from the reception which is totally unfriendly…I could say hostile. This is not what I paid for and never will ome back here ciiihhh 😥😥😥 What is really good is the cleaning personnel: very friendly, impeccable work: everyday cleaning is perfect even though I didn ask for some of it it was realized as it should be. 🙏🏻 Breakfast was poor: I had fresh vegetables in one single occasion and in some other occasions I had the feeling it was the dinner from the previous day…not happy at all

Hotel 4 stelle con annessa residenza con appartamenti! Parto subito complimentandomi con Stefania dell’accoglienza sempre gentilissima e cordiale e capace di soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta! Inoltre complimenti anche a Nicola il maitre di sala che ci ha accolto seguendoci ad ogni pranzo e ad ogni cena con estrema professionalità! Grazie ad entrambi! Il resto del personale nulla da dichiarare! Questo hotel ha Grande potenzialità ma purtroppo non sfruttata appieno! 4 pallini verdi però sono meritati ma grazie alle persone sopra menzionate! Consiglio di fare tesoro delle precedenti recensioni per correggere alcuni dettagli ed essere impeccabili! Un consiglio per il cuoco: NO ARROSTICINI se non preparati con il metodo classico! Inoltre arricchite la carta dei vini, me lo aspetto in un hotel a 4 stelle!

The shutter in the bedroom is broken so it is not possible to make it dark. No breakfast included while the hotel I took in the same city and at the same price the week before was better located and more comfortable at all levels offered one.

The hotel is a beautiful and personal place for the reception and super top rooms, gentle and friendly, not all. I forgot the house keys early August and 3 days ago I called the hotel after almost two months because I had lost a watch and I didn't know where I called in the hotel for any findings, since I was going to buy it back as it was a I loved a great gift of family, and I must say to surprise that the boy of the reception with so much professionality and gentleness told me that I faced it. I was very happy, of course, thank you for having found him cleaning room 305 that day of August 11 morning. I also work in the hotel so I know what dedication and education means. What to say Hotels we recommend to spend top holidays and have the security of all the services that a customer can have in a holiday in August. It is not always easy with some excessive paces, because thanks yet and good work. Don't hesitate to book. Francesco.

We stayed a week here. Accessibility wise, it is only a short walk to the beach and restaurants BUT it is down and then up a very steep hill. Unless you like fish, most of the nearby restaurants will not suit you. Would recommend having a car due to these facts. There is a courtesy mini bus service to a beach which was at a cost of €25 euros per day inc umbrella, chairs etc. We ate dinner in the restaurant twice. The food was very good but is a limited menu. Portion size on the small size. We ate breakfast most mornings which at €5 is good value for money . Varied buffet breakfast with lovely local bread and cakes, fruit yoghurt etc, cold meat and cheeses and scrambled eggs. We booked 6 months in advance and were disappointed with the room allocated to us. We had booked a superior room and queried on the first night if that was what we were in. We were assured we were……but….. on further conversation the next day with very helpful check in desk staff, it became clear we were in one half of a family room. There was not much difference in amenity except the superior room was approx 8-10 m2 bigger…..so a huge difference. We were subsequently moved on night 3 of 7 so this aspect was disappointing and the photos on the website of various rooms are very misleading. We felt slightly cheated over this. There is also an issue with noise from other rooms which is audible for sure but did not cause us any significant issue. In terms of the rooms and public areas, the gardens and pool areas are very pleasant to spend time in. The restaurants for breakfast and dinner are ok too. The rooms and corridors are tired and do need refreshing in our view, especially the bathrooms which are showing signs of age with black mould in a lot of the grouting. Lastly, the staff throughout the hotel were outstanding in every respect. The service was exceptional…… friendly, informative, professional and efficient. 10/10. Had this not been the case we would have reviewed it at 3/5.

B&b is located near the central Umberto road. It is difficult to find free parking in the area but a few steps away is the parking for payment of the station. And here the positive notes end. I'm sorry to always make negative reviews, but I hope that this can be a stimulus for managers. But inside it looks like a basar, poorly-tracked entry with furniture put to the mouth. Small room, date furniture and different from each other. Recently renovated but small bathroom. Phon in poorly-tracked furniture. The morning was hot water, and it was impossible to do a shower; the evening was a thread after a half-direct water was left flowing. Breakfast in line with the rest, non-branded products even with a variety of products (sweet only, not salted).

Struttura assolutamente non da 4 stelle, mi pare una beffa che sia classificata anche come supirior, magari poteva esserlo negli anni '70. Caratteristiche positive: fronte spiaggia, mare con fondale basso e, perlomeno durante il nostro soggiorno, pulito, quindi adatto ai bambini. Presenza di una piscina adiacente alla spiaggia, sempre adatta ai bambini, anzi direi quasi esclusivamente a loro, poichè abbastanza piccola di dimensioni. Preciso che queste caratteristiche sono presenti in diversi hotel della zona, dato che a Montesilvano tanti sono gli alberghi fronte spiaggia. Sala ristorante vista spiaggia, cibo in quantità abbondante e di media qualità con personale disponibile e gentile. Pulizia generale discreta. Caratteristiche negative: struttura obsoleta da ristrutturare, stanze con arredamento demodè. La stanza a noi assegnata, tripla uso quadrupla, era molto striminzita, il letto a castello presente aveva la sbarra del letto in alto che cascava ad ogni minima sollecitazione, pertanto pericolante e pericoloso, e nonostante la nostra segnalazione il problema nn è stato risolto. Il balcone angusto e con diverse scrostature delle pareti. Il bagno, perlomeno nella nostra stanza, era decente, quindi probabilmente ristrutturato. Animazione da rianimazione...composta da due ragazze, in erba, alle prese con il mini club e una capo animatrice purtroppo assolutamente non in grado di animare, pertanto intrattenimento nn all'altezza, tanto che sarebbe stato meglio non ci fosse. Parcheggio all'aperto a pagamento di 10 euro al giorno soggetto a prenotazione, poiché posti auto non sufficienti al numero di stanze, per fortuna all'esterno di parcheggio sicuro se ne trova anche ad agosto, quindi si può evitare questo obolo. Il personale dipendente è gentile, salvo il signore addetto al bar della spiaggia, mi pare si chiami Piero, abbastanza scocciato e poco cortese con i bambini, a differenza delle altre ragazze addette al bar e del bagnino sempre disponibili e sorridenti. Scarsa accoglienza e scortesia da parte di chi ci ha accolti all'arrivo, che poi abbiamo scoperto essere uno dei direttori della struttura, che non ci ha nemmeno detto come fare per scaricare i bagagli e da dove entrare. Altra scortesia riservataci dalla direzione è stata per il pranzo di Ferragosto, unico giorno durante il nostro soggiorno in cui il pranzo è stato servito a sedere e non a buffet, il nostro tavolo non era stato previsto e arrangiato all'ultimo, a distanza dal resto della sala e in uno spazio di servizio non idoneo alla presenza di ospiti, a maggior ragione nel numero di 4. Altra sensazione sgradevole è che vi è un trattamento differenziale, anche a parità di trattamento pagato, tra clienti nuovi e abituali, i quali ultimi ricevono maggiori attenzioni, magari l'occhio di riguardo ci sta, ma se la sensazione è tangibile denota cattiva gestione e scarsa professionalità. During our recent Italian vacation, we found ourselves at loose end when our reserved VRBO turned out to be unacceptable. Luckily, we found the Regent and were able to reserve four rooms with zero notice. Not only did they have rooms available, they were balcony rooms facing the ocean. Additionally, one of their staff members, Simona, was especially accommodating. She found a minibus to bring all seven of us and our luggage to the hotel, and was gracious and kind throughout. The hotel was clean, had plenty of hot water, and AC in every room. After our dreadful VRBO experience, we couldn’t have been happier!

I was worried when I read the reviews regarding this hotel, However I think some people expect too much. Yes the Hotel does need some much needed maintenance but I believe in light of the recent pandemic it has like most of the world become a victim of circumstance. That being said and looking beyond the surface - this hotel has very welcoming polite staff, it was super clean and the room was spacious and the bed was comfy. it is ideally situated on the front with excellent access to bars, restaurants and shops. I would definately stay here again if I ever returned to Pescara. Thank you for our stay.

Friendly reception, good beds, good shower. Extensive breakfast. The lichtstraten in the room could be better; only bedlights. Parking is a little challenge. Good for a couple of nights. Public transport nearby. We got a double room for a bargain. Good service from the hotel.
