Beach Hotels in Penang, Malaysia

Regarding the facilities, I need to pay by my own self for the car parking service. They are charging RM 24 per day and I am staying for 4 days 3 nights. Do you think how much I need to pay for the car parking which they never stated that visitors or customers need to paying by ourselves. I hope that in the future, please stated very clearly that we need to paying by ourselves without inform us.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a wonderful family stay at Lone Pine! We absolutely loved the vibe here — peaceful, relaxing and beautifully surrounded by nature. It really suited us and was exactly the kind of getaway we enjoy. The breakfast was also one of our highlights — so good and we really enjoyed the variety! ❤️ The staff were warm, friendly and attentive throughout our stay, which made the experience even more special. And a funny little note… my teenage daughter loved Lone Pine so much that she has already started planning her wedding here! 😅😂 I guess that says a lot about how much she enjoyed the place! Definitely a memorable stay and we would love to come back again. Highly recommended! 🌿✨

We booked PARKROYAL Penang through Trip.com for our little daughter’s 4th birthday, and we honestly had a wonderful stay. I wasn’t sure if booking through Trip.com would make any difference in terms of service, but the hotel completely exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly, warm and helpful throughout our stay. The highlight for us was the little birthday surprise for our daughter. 🎂❤️ The hotel prepared a lovely birthday cake for her, which was such a sweet gesture and really made her day. It may seem like a small thing, but for us as parents, it made the trip extra special. The hotel is also very family-friendly. The beach is right there, the swimming pools and kids’ facilities kept our daughter entertained, and there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so it was quite convenient. The location is slightly away from the busier parts of Penang, but personally I liked that. It gave us a more relaxed holiday atmosphere, which was exactly what we wanted for a family trip. Most importantly, the service really stood out. Everyone we met was genuinely welcoming and attentive, and we felt well taken care of from check-in until check-out. Thank you to the PARKROYAL Penang team for making our daughter’s 4th birthday trip a memorable one. ❤️ Definitely a hotel we would consider coming back to, especially for another family holiday in Penang.

After staying at Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Penang, my biggest takeaway is this: It’s not the kind of hotel that impresses you because everything feels brand new. What makes it special is the relaxing resort atmosphere. The greenery is beautiful, the grounds feel peaceful, and you can easily spend the whole day just enjoying the pool, garden and beach area without rushing anywhere. The rooms have a more classic style rather than a very modern luxury look, but they’re comfortable and well maintained. Personally, I think this hotel is best for people who want a proper staycation and a slower holiday. If budget allows, I’d choose the Rasa Wing for the quieter atmosphere and more exclusive experience. My overall feeling: Rasa Sayang may not be the newest hotel in Penang, but it still has that timeless 5-star resort feel.

Even though the place is a bit old. But i must say the cleanliness and also service are very efficient. Staff are also very helpful and friendly. I would say that I will definitely book again for my next trip to Penang.

The hotel is located in the heart of Batu Ferringhi near the Ferringhi Night Market or the starting point of the night market. If you would like to go to the main centre of the beach and main night market area you will need to walk a little further about 1 km++. Regarding the hotel, the reception staff not attending to us immediately eventhough there was no one else in the queue. However the manager in charge immediately apologised. so overall the service was still acceptable. The hotel is not really suitable for people who are looking for peace and quiet. It is more suitable for families with children. the room is too chilly at night even when we switched off the aircond maybe because of the centralized air conditioning system. At the same time, we requested an adjacent room earlier through Trip.com but they were unable to provide one as the hotel was fully occupied at the time. that was a bit disappointing.

The hotel has a swimming pool. It was very humid, and even with the AC on, there was still water on the walls. For under 500, it's pretty good value for money. The area across the street is lively, with a Domino's Pizza just a short walk away and local fried rice shops. There's a bus stop downstairs, though buses are infrequent. A taxi to the city center costs around 80 RMB. It's not far from the Spice Garden, about a 4-minute taxi ride for 7 RMB.

We love the kid pool facility and the breakfast buffet selection, it’s awesome. The downfall was: The resort was a little bit old, the receptionist don’t answer my calls most of the time when I need to request for something. This you gotta improve. And one of the most important thing that you gotta fix is your toilet’s water pressure. It is too small, for sink, toilet bowl, and shower. The only water that’s powerful is the bidet. We have to flush multiple times after using the toilet. It’s really frustrating.

I had an excellent stay at G Hotel Gurney in the Executive Suite. The suite was spacious, modern, and beautifully maintained, with a comfortable bed and a great view. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Penang. The hotel’s location is fantastic, right next to Gurney Plaza and within walking distance of many popular eateries. The staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to assist, making the entire stay even more enjoyable. The Executive Lounge was a great addition, offering a quiet and comfortable space to unwind with complimentary refreshments. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of local and international dishes. Overall, everything from the room quality to the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely choose G Hotel Gurney again on my next visit to Penang and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay.

Okay, I seriously don’t know how to put this into words, but I’m SOOOO HAPPY!!! 🥹❤️ All I wanted was to celebrate my husband’s birthday nicely… and Mercure really understood the assignment! 😆🙌🏻 We got the room we were hoping for, with the beautiful view we had been dreaming of 🥹🌊❤️ And thennn… we were surprised with a complimentary birthday cake too! 🎂😭 Aduhhh, small things like this really mean a lot to us. Honestly, I was sooo touched sampai rasa nak sobsob kejap 🥹😂❤️ Thank you, Mercure, for making my husband’s birthday celebration extra special and for fulfilling our request. Everything just made our stay even more memorable! 🫶🏻 Definitely not our last visit… we’ll be back again! 😝❤️ Thank you for making this wifey and her birthday boy very, very happy! 🎂🥳🫶🏻
