GGuest UserFor our tenth wedding anniversary, we decided to revisit the city where my partner and I first traveled together. When choosing a hotel, I initially considered QiXuan Reef, then came across QiShang in Xiamen. Our butler, Xiao Can (Bright), was absolutely fantastic! He helped arrange a lovely room setup with the housekeeping department, making our anniversary feel truly special and ceremonial. The room's overall layout exuded a beautiful Chinese symmetrical aesthetic, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable and soft – so much so that it was hard to get out of bed in the mornings!
The breakfast can truly be described as the pinnacle of hotel breakfasts in China. The bread and pastries were not only exquisite but also incredibly delicious. The egg tart crust was perfectly crispy and slightly charred, offering an ideal texture, and the chocolate croissant was simply outstanding! From the à la carte menu, the black truffle egg was a league of its own among egg dishes; the truffle perfectly masked any eggy smell, and the special Shacha sauce was a brilliant touch – I can't recommend it enough! The Eggs Benedict were also perfectly prepared, with a runny yolk and just the right amount of sauce. The seaweed soup with meat dumplings at the bottom was so fresh it made my eyebrows want to fall off – staying for several days, I never got tired of it!
Overall, the hotel's service was excellent. Staff members proactively greeted us, helped open doors, and carried our luggage. The daily cleaning staff were also very diligent. A big thank you for all your hard work! The hotel's in-house restaurant, 'The Fish That Grows Olives,' also offers high-quality dining. All the dishes were thoughtfully prepared, and you could tell the chef has unique ideas for Western cuisine. The seasoning for several sauces was innovative, and the refreshing parfait had a clean taste and perfect flavor balance. The dessert preparation was also meticulous, providing a perfect double sensory experience for both sight and taste!
GGuest UserThe hotel truly lives up to its online reputation; the overall ambiance is elegant and grand, and the service is professional and attentive. The rooms are spacious, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the hygiene details are meticulously maintained. The toiletries are of excellent quality, making for a superb stay. The location is prime, offering convenient access to everything. Hotel facilities are comprehensive, and the soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a quiet and peaceful environment. The staff are gentle and detail-oriented in their service. Overall, the quality is very high and well worth staying. This is my fourth time visiting Gulangyu, and choosing Lin's Mansion this time has been the best experience yet. The hotel staff provided pick-up and drop-off service to the pier, and the room service was impeccable. They were incredibly polite, warm, and patient with both children and elderly guests. The hotel itself is very picturesque, perfect for photos. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Gulangyu.
**Lady's Qipao Experience:** The qipaos are of excellent quality and absolutely stunning, with a wide array of accessories to match. The staff were enthusiastic in helping us choose and offered great suggestions. The photos produced at the end were incredibly high quality and truly worth keeping. It's definitely an experience worth having for a souvenir.
**Special Welcome Drink:** It felt very ceremonial and tasted delicious.
GGuest UserThe most delightful place we stayed on our trip! This entire courtyard is a beautifully restored old traditional house, complete with intricate eaves, a rock garden with flowing water, and scenic corridors. The courtyard itself is serene and quiet, completely isolating you from the outside hustle and bustle. I woke up to birdsong every morning, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. It's definitely on my list for a second visit!
TTangcenziTraveling with a child, this hotel exceeded all my expectations! The room was clean and spacious. Our butler, Irene, was incredibly thoughtful, providing us with travel tips and guides. Yulia helped us book activities and, despite a small issue with the kids' class, she actively worked to resolve it and even gifted us a paper-cutting class. The hotel is very close to the beach, making for pleasant strolls by the sea. It's also conveniently located, and the kids absolutely loved it. Next time, I'll definitely try their beach-combing activities. We had a great time!

Outstanding
GGuest UserArrived past midnight, but the front desk staff, both the young man and the lady, were incredibly warm and helpful, even assisting us with a breakfast discount. The room, though not large, was very well laid out. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and there was even a separate desk. Despite being near a main road, the soundproofing and blackout curtains were excellent. After a relaxing hot spring bath, I slept wonderfully. They provided 500ML bottles of Bama Platinum Spring water. The only downside was the lack of a non-slip mat in the bathroom. Breakfast was extensive, and I particularly enjoyed trying all the Fuzhou specialties like fish balls, rouyan (meat dumplings),拌面 (mixed noodles), peanut soup, and taro paste. The only problem was I was too full to eat anything else on the street later! Overall, a great hotel, and I'll definitely choose Mercure again next time.
TTaffy4456I first heard about Linggan Hotel through an article by Teacher Maori and immediately bookmarked it as a great B&B. When I had the chance to travel to Xiamen during the off-season at the end of the year, I booked a king-size room at Linggan the day after I booked my flight.
I chose the Sanqiutian Pier for the ferry, as Baidu Maps showed it was closer to the B&B. After getting off the pier, it was just over a 10-minute walk to the property. The B&B has a rather large courtyard, and its location offers a peaceful retreat while being close to both Piano Pier and Longtou Road. My favorite spot was the small balcony seating at the end of the corridor; enjoying a cup of coffee from the downstairs cafe and soaking up the sun in the afternoon was simply delightful. The room decor was minimalist, but all essential amenities were provided, showing great attention to detail. The large bathtub even came with a perfectly sized liner. In the evening, playing some favorite music on the in-room Bose Bluetooth speaker was just perfect.
The breakfast on the second day was a set meal, very generous and delicious. You could choose to enjoy it in the cafe downstairs or in the outdoor garden. Both the auntie and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic. I hope the prices don't increase too much during peak season, as I truly want to come back again!
GGuest UserA day before our arrival, the housekeeper sent us a detailed message with all sorts of tips and information. They covered everything, even asking if we were traveling with children so they could prepare special toiletries and toys for them. The swimming pool had free water guns and kayaks, and the lobby offered free Hanfu for photo ops. When I arrived, I saw a lovely young lady waiting for us in the parking lot – it turned out to be Xiao Shi, who I had been communicating with. This seemingly delicate girl actually helped us with our luggage and guided us to our room, which was incredibly thoughtful. What's more, when my sister left her cosmetics in the room, Xiao Shi contacted me immediately and even delivered them to our door! Such a dedicated personal butler definitely deserves a bonus! Thank you, Xiao Shi!
JJ XuLijiazhuang Hotel is hidden in a quiet corner of Gulangyu Island, with a clean and elegant environment and a perfect geographical location. Its historical atmosphere and architectural beauty interweave a restrained and rich aura, which is impressive.
The room we stayed in was warm and elegant, and it was one of my favorite spaces on this trip.
The service is even more exemplary. The housekeepers Xiao Chen and Xiao Wang are thoughtful and patient, and respond quickly, truly achieving ”details are service”.
Such a hotel with great care and full of emotions, with good user experience and a deep reputation foundation, fully has the sustainable advantage of leveraging trust and building long-term customer assets.
The future is promising. Bravo!
GGuest UserThough it’s a bit far from city centre but as a hot spring resort where u would spend time to relax, it’s a wonderful place to go with high CP value. Places were well maintained and very clean. Hot spring park was very nice with lots of helpful staffs around.
MM45523****I stayed at this hotel for two nights, and the immersive resort experience left a deep impression—it's truly an excellent choice for leisure and relaxation. The hotel's location is very peaceful, within walking distance of a forest park, offering both convenient access to attractions and a respite from the outside world's hustle and bustle. During check-in, the staff provided service with constant smiles, thoughtfully offering welcome fruits and snacks. In the evening, before bed, we enjoyed peanut soup, which truly enhanced the vacation atmosphere. The room was spacious and bright, directly overlooking a garden waterscape. Waking up to birdsong in the morning and enjoying the sunset in the evening was incredibly pleasant. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the bathroom amenities featured natural fragrances, showing attention to detail. The hotel's buffet breakfast offered a rich variety, with freshly baked bread and freshly squeezed juices, all in an elegant dining environment. During downtime, a swim in the outdoor pool or a rejuvenating SPA treatment at the hotel helped melt away travel fatigue. The hotel also provides a complimentary picnic basket rental service, making it convenient for guests to enjoy a picnic on the lakeside lawn. My stay was a perfect 10, making this an ideal choice for a vacation getaway.
