GGuest User”Extra-Large Bathtub” doesn't even begin to describe how incredibly large this bathtub was. It was more like a swimming pool. I was in heaven. I loved this hotel, the desk staff don't speak any English but they have these little ai-translation hand held devices (picture a dictaphone that translates) and are extremely helpful with a can-do attitude. I had some urgent documents I needed delivering and the staff were beyond helpful with that, I am very grateful to them. Also upon check-in they bumped me up to a suite (I didn't ask they were just being nice) and holy moly what a room. It was fabulous. The styling of this place is very old colonial palace vibes, I know they have some history displays up relating to the war but I didn't look into it, but it had a very classic airy vibe with traditional furniture and styling and I loved it. Some elements are a bit careworn and showing their age, but everything was immaculately clean. So, yes some elements like the carpeting may have seen better days but it's due to age rather than lack of attention, everything that mattered was sparkling. My shower could have fit about 5 people in there, and the bathtub another 6, so that was a real highlight, but the location was superb as well, it is on a private little resort island right next to the lake where the pagodas and bridges are. There is an easy access exit gate to the lakes, however I think it was run by the other hotel on the island because my key card didn't work late at night, however I must admit I had had a few and maybe wasn't the most able bodied reviewer in that moment. I recommend asking the staff because each night after the lake show with the performance and music lots of families were coming in that back way, so it's definitely possible I was just un-prepared. Regardless, even if you get locked out it's a short walk around to the other side of the island and the gatemen are very friendly. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel although it is not technically run by the hotel which just means it closes slightly earlier (much later than anywhere in Europe still), and when I went in the staff were just sitting around so I wasn't sure if they were open, but when they saw me they sprang into life and actually the older ladies spoke quite a lot of English and were very chatty and friendly, and they also have an iPad with an English ordering app so it is a breeze eating there. The food was very high quality and delicious, it was more expensive than eating in town but I would not say over priced given how good it was. The bar in the hotel is also nice. You can get delivery food brought directly to your room which is also excellent. They don't have room service food but why would you bother when delivery is available. The hotel has a private drive way so getting picked up for excursions or Didi rides is so easy, and the area is beautifully quiet and there are lots of birds. It is very close to all the attractions like Elephant Trunk Hill, which makes doing things (or retreating home due to the fearsome heat) very easy. I will warn you the hotel is nicely airy in the way old villas in Europe are, but because of that your air conditioning will never match that kind of incredible ice cold blast you might be familiar with in Hong Kong. Obviously, this is a very small problem when you can easily cool off in the mega-bath or mega-shower or just sit at a comfortable level of air conditioning, but if you are the kind of foreign traveller who is unaccustomed to the strong heat just be aware that this is a vintage place so you won't be able to whack the AC down to 15c and freeze yourself for relief. I really recommend this hotel, it was absolutely lovely. Oh also there is a lovely jovial old man who comes round in the evening to deliver you milk at bedtime every day, what a guy.

The New Chinese-style courtyard is elegant, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service is warm and attentive. The complimentary afternoon tea and ethnic costume experience are thoughtful touches. Waking up to mountain and water views truly completes the vacation experience!

GGuest UserThe hotel sent a car to pick us up as soon as we disembarked, even though pier pick-up wasn't included. They were worried we wouldn't find our way, so they arranged for a local driver to meet us at the dock and take us to the pick-up point (they covered the cost, we weren't charged).
The room looked exactly like the promotional photos, no exaggeration. The view from the entire room felt like living in a fairyland. The in-room amenities were excellent and comprehensive, even including a garment steamer for ironing. The hairdryer was a Dyson, the pillows were Atour, and the mattress was incredibly comfortable. The air conditioning was smart and zoned, a very thoughtful and practical design. Even for someone with high standards like me, it was impressive and a pleasant surprise!
The hotel butler service was genuinely 24/7 online, with an excellent attitude. They even remembered our preferences. The hotel's security and privacy measures were top-notch. My husband and I initially planned to stay for only two days, but we extended it by another day because we enjoyed our time in Yangshuo so much.
If we hadn't been comfortable at the hotel, we might not have fully enjoyed our daytime activities or been in the right mood to appreciate the breathtaking beauty of the mountains and rivers. The hotel's coffee and dining were also excellent. There's even a beautiful lotus pond right across from the hotel. Next time my husband and I visit, we'll definitely stay here again; it's truly wonderful!
The cleanliness was impeccable, everywhere was spotless, including the ground floor gardens, which were meticulously maintained. There were mosquito coils placed at the room entrance, and the rooms had screens, so there were genuinely no bugs. It was the first time I've experienced a hotel with such genuine care. I even bought a Zhuang brocade bag at the hotel, which wasn't expensive. The whole experience was truly fantastic!

I have to give a big thumbs up to Hongming Travel Photography! Although this was a complimentary experience from the hotel, everyone on the team was incredibly kind, attentive, and patient. The weather was scorching on the day of the shoot, but the photographer remained very dedicated and professional. The whole experience was fantastic, highly recommended!
We booked two rooms, and the service was thoughtful and thorough. There's a large lawn, pet feeding, and other activities, so you can easily entertain the kids all day without leaving the hotel. The experience was truly amazing.

The hotel's location is great, by the river and close to nature. There are the waterlily ponds around the hotel and you can hear the delightful little frogs croaking at night. The staff are very friendly and helpful with all requests, and the hotel's interior is clean and beautifully designed. The pool is also very pleasant, as are the many activities offered here, and you can rent a scooter easily for convenient transport around.ation is great, by the river and close to nature. LLizileeFirstly, the location is excellent. It's right in the scenic area, where the Li River is at its most beautiful, offering truly stunning views. The Li River is directly opposite, and downstairs you'll find electric scooter rentals. Across the street are a charging station and the hotel's parking lot. The bamboo raft漂流 (rafting) starting point is just a short walk down from the roadside.
Secondly, the hotel's decor is incredibly tasteful, modern, relaxing, and comfortable. They have a 'Sky Mirror' (infinity pool/reflective surface), a garden, and a swimming pool.
Thirdly, the service is comprehensive. They offer afternoon tea with various Guangxi small snacks. For breakfast, the auntie makes delicious Guilin rice noodles served with roasted pork belly – I practically inhaled two bowls! When you return in the evening, there's supper: dumplings, tremella soup, and osmanthus glutinous rice balls.
Right next door are the highly-rated beer fish and freshly roasted kiln chicken from Dazhong Dianping (a popular review site).
It was a very comfortable trip~~~

From the moment I got out of the car and they helped with my luggage, I could feel the attentive, butler-style service. The front desk lady was incredibly sweet; she not only helped me plan my itinerary but also recommended some amazing local restaurants – absolutely no duds! The welcome fruit upon check-in and the sweet soup at night were really a nice touch, making me feel right at home. The guesthouse's location is perfect – quiet yet convenient for getting around, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Next time I bring my family, I'll definitely choose this place again!

GGuest UserFirstly the location is spectacular, which is the main reason we booked. The view from the room was really beautiful and it was easy enough to get to the old town by boat. Secondly the owner was so lovely and helpful and helped us organise many activities, and even accompanied us on a few. The staff are very responsive and helpful on wechat and helped us organise activities and meals. The dog was also a big highlight for our kids, especially my daughter who even cried about leaving him. The terrace is lovely too and has an amazing view. The meals cooked for us were very nice, and breakfast was adequate. The room is ok, a bit basic but met our needs. The only complaint I have is that the rooms are not sound proof, and therefore you hear every sound in the corridor and stairs. We travelled with young children who go to bed early and they struggled to fall asleep with the noise of kids running, playing and screaming in the hallway. It may not be an issue for those going to sleep later, but for us it was tough. The staff however did respond to our feedback and asked the kids to be quiet, but you do still hear people moving around outside. Overall I would recommend.

AAnonymous UserGreat location. It's located at the start of West street. We arrived during the Qingming festival and street was really busy. The lady at reception tried her best to find us a transport however either there was really a shortage on cars or all occupied. Our room was just right size for the family of 4, it has little balcony. It started to show it's wear but still acceptable.
