We booked in Basle as a return to when my wife and I were both there seperately in the early 70's. A chance to return to some memories. Chose this and found a comfortable, clean, modern and well run hotel. Easy to find as well. Met Carlos at check in, very helpful chap (thanks). Pity about parking to hotel distance, bit of a damp trek challenge in rain, but free for duration of stay and there is a drop off a short distance to the side. Could do with easy covered access from there. Got city passes so free bus and trams to scoot round on. Room was spotless, great bed and shower and mainly very quiet even on road side. Kettle too, a must for us English and our tea. Had a bit of search for a local restaurant, be good to have one in hotel for the weary traveller. Bar sadly closed 1st night. Breakfast was ample, all you can eat, and theres a facility to pack a breakfast to go. All in all very happy with our 2 nights, and would revisit. (For travel there is a bus then tram direct to city centre, and they run regularly).

Still very good. At least I went there that day. There is an indoor parking lot. 5 minutes by car from Basel. Zurich can be directly connected to the highway. It is particularly convenient for business. Worth it.

Of course, you cannot expect in a budget hotel 5-Sterne-Service. The rooms were small and minimalistic furnished, but in orderly condition. The staff friendly, even though I had little contact. I didn't take breakfast. The hotel is well reached by car, the train station after 10 minutes walking distance. The parking is costly. It was a pleasant night at a cheap price, but you have to buy certain boards.

RECEPTION Wir kamen spät an, diese späte Ankunft war aber bestens organisiert und es hat problemlos geklappt. Am nächsten Tag verlief das Check-In problemlos und die Mitarbeiter waren zu jeder Zeit sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. ZIMMER Diese sind gross, sauber und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Für Familien ist das Familienzimmer ideal - und sehr fair im Preis! FRUEHSTUECK Dies nahmen wir im zugehörigen Coop-Restaurant ein - und auch dieses Buffet war grosszügig, frisch und fein. LAGE 2 Minuten vom Tram, das in wenigen Minuten in die Basler Innenstadt fährt. Mit der Gästekarte ist der öV dabei - super! Wir können dieses Hotel nur weiterempfehlen!

Reception was very quick and efficient and the elevator is right next to it. The restaurant is across the hall from the reception. The room was a bit small but clean. The only odd thing throughout the hotel and even going into the restaurant is that there are small little dips going from the main floor into the restaurant, maybe only a half inch. It was the same going into our room. Slight step into the room then a short hallway with a slight dip again. Breakfast was good and the staff was super helpful. Appreciated the free transit pass.
