This hotel's location is unbeatable, truly one of a kind! It's right inside the Tianshan Airport terminal. Just walk straight out of the arrival gate, turn right at the very end, and you're there! Even flight attendants and pilots stay here, so you know it's a solid choice! The price is incredible; under 300, it's the best value for money you'll find. I booked it for 413 on Dolphin, but then saw it for only 280 on Piggy (Alitrip)! I immediately contacted Dolphin for a refund of the difference. The facilities are super new, and the soft furnishings are top-notch. The towels, cups, and duvets all feel high-quality. It's truly rare to find such a well-maintained hotel in Xinjiang! For some reason, the room was very warm, but they provided a humidifier, and they were very generous with bottled water. For lunch, they have a set meal of rice with toppings for only 21 yuan!

The hotel's location is excellent, right near the West Gate of the Old City. The building is impressive and can be seen from anywhere in the Old City area. Different buildings offer various room types, catering to different guests' needs and budgets. The North Building is very affordable. I initially booked it with the intention of deciding whether to upgrade upon arrival, but I found the room to be quite good actually, clean, and well-equipped. Breakfast is included, but it's just so-so. If you're not in a hurry, it's best to avoid going for breakfast too early, as there are many tour groups in the morning.

The hotel is located right on Minjie Street, incredibly close to Jinquan Shopping Mall – just a 2-minute walk. It's also only about a 10-minute walk to the Grand Bazaar pedestrian street. You can't park directly in front of the hotel, but there's a convenient underground parking garage. The facilities are excellent, and the breakfast is plentiful. It might be due to the May Day holiday rush, but the service during my stay on May 4th felt a bit less attentive than when I stayed on April 25th, over a week prior. For instance, they didn't contact me beforehand to guide me to the underground parking, and there were no soft drinks in the room. However, overall service quality is still quite good. It's understandable that they were busy and fully booked during the holiday.

The hotel's location is pretty good, very close to the Old City's Watergate entrance. The parking lot is also spacious. We got a free room upgrade, and the room itself was nice, with a convenient wet/dry separation in the bathroom. However, I only realized when I went to bed that the window wouldn't close. It was so noisy all night because there's a BBQ restaurant downstairs, and it didn't quiet down until past 7 AM. After I told the front desk, I came back to find the window handle had already been installed. If you prefer a completely dark room to sleep, be aware that the light control switch is very bright, meaning the room isn't totally dark, and it's right next to the pillow, as shown in picture 2. They offer airport pick-up and drop-off, which is very convenient.

Upon check-in, we received complimentary souvenirs and milk tea. The room was very clean and hygienic. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to attractions, with a park right across the street. It's also within walking distance of the old town night market, where the evening performances are lively and plentiful. The hotel front desk staff were very friendly, and they even offer free airport shuttle service! Thumbs up!

Overall, the hotel experience was fantastic! 🎉 The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was super comfortable, especially the latex pillow which made for a really sound sleep. The electric curtains were a nice touch for convenience. The front desk also thoughtfully provided breakfast, which had a great variety and delicious food. I particularly enjoyed the local yogurt and dried fruits, they were very unique. Compared to guesthouses, chain hotels definitely have a much higher standard when it comes to cleanliness and facilities.

My actual stay far exceeded my expectations; the overall experience was incredibly comfortable. The room was exceptionally spacious with a unique layout that you rarely see. It had excellent natural light, multiple floor-to-ceiling windows offering expansive views, and even a bathtub, making for a truly pleasant living experience. The bed was extra soft and provided a stable, restful sleep. Ordering takeout was made easy and hassle-free with robot delivery. The entire room was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with great attention to detail. The price was very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. It's definitely worth experiencing.

The room is clean and hygienic, especially the bathroom sink is separated into dry and wet areas and has no odor. The service is very thoughtful. The beautiful lady at the front desk is very thoughtful and provides help within her ability. The room attendant is careful and timely. The facilities are complete, but the room is not big enough for turnover.

GGuest UserThis hotel truly maximizes comfort for high-altitude stays. The diffused oxygen supply is even and stable, making you feel as comfortable in the room as you would at sea level, so you don't have to worry about altitude sickness affecting your trip. The room was very clean and well-equipped, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a huge variety of options, catering to different dietary habits. I really enjoyed breakfast every morning. The room was clean and tidy, and the environment was quiet. The front desk lady checked me in quickly and was very enthusiastic, even upgrading my room for free. Once you stay here, you won't want to go anywhere else!

2206295****I didn't have high hopes for this non-chain hotel, but it actually exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious, the view was great, and the facilities were excellent, including a smart toilet and smart system. The wet and dry areas were separate, though the layout could be a bit more practical. The curtains were semi-automatic. The heating was quite strong, so much so that I had to open a window. There's also a self-service laundry room, perfect for those staying a bit longer for skiing or business trips. The only minor points were the limited breakfast variety and average taste, but I wouldn't call those downsides. Even though I only stayed one night, it left a lasting impression because it was the best accommodation of my entire trip to Altay 😂. Later, when I went skiing in Hemu, even a Holiday Inn costing over 4,000 yuan a night couldn't compare to this place. I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience now. I hope the hotel continues its excellent work and gets even better; it will definitely be my top choice for future visits to Altay.

TTravis and ElishaWow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that. She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met. It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here. Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed. While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information. The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate). The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean. Thank you so much Mrs. Li! You will be a highlight of our visit to China and will be remembered in our hearts forever. -Travis and Elisha (Colorado, USA) PS: when we get home I'm going to try to write up a bit about our trip on Tripadvisor because I couldn't find anything about Kashgar on trip advisor since covid, and some things have changed, so I thought it might be helpful for fellow travelers, so look for that.

GGuest UserThe service was truly exceptional. I had an early flight and asked the front desk if I could check in early, which they happily arranged. They even upgraded my room for free, which I really appreciated. The front desk also had complimentary bottled water and fruit, a very thoughtful touch. They even gave me a free breakfast, which was also fantastic with a great variety and delicious food. Overall, it was an incredibly good experience. The front desk staff and security guards were all very friendly. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Xinjiang. It's also close to the metro station and has plenty of restaurants nearby.

YYu HuanzhiOur stay at the Shar Starry Sky Glamping camp in Karajun Grassland was a truly rejuvenating and luxurious experience! The camp is nestled in the core area of a World Natural Heritage site, offering breathtaking views. From our window, we could see vast grasslands and continuous snow-capped mountains – the scenery was absolutely stunning. The starry dome we stayed in was incredibly impressive. It offered unobstructed panoramic views, allowing us to watch the grassland sunset right from our bed. At night, with no city light pollution, the Milky Way was clearly visible, and the provided telescope made stargazing super convenient – the kids absolutely loved it. Both the owner and the staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful, responding 24/7. They even offered stargazing explanations. The camp provides excellent privacy, with ample space between each room, making it quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was rich and authentic, featuring traditional flatbread (nang) and fresh milk – the grassland cuisine was delicious. Away from the hustle and bustle, falling asleep under the stars and waking up to the view of snow-capped mountains – this is what a true luxury wilderness getaway should be. Highly recommended!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a great location: a brisk 5-7-minute walk from the metro (exit A). The route itself is interesting: on the left and right are entrances to the Grand Bazaar and plenty of street vendors selling fruit, food, clothing, and souvenirs. The hotel was unusual for us as tourists. When you open your room, the curtains automatically open, and you hear a voice message in Chinese. We didn't understand what it meant, though. The room was large, beautiful, and comfortable, with good beds, a huge TV, and panoramic windows. The courtyard view means the windows overlook other hotel windows through a narrow pedestrian walkway with a transparent roof, allowing you to see other guests—and they can see you. Although our silhouettes weren't very clear, we still felt uneasy, so we asked to change rooms. We were upgraded to a room with smaller windows. The sink was separate in the room, and the bathroom had only a toilet and shower. The toilet didn't have a flush button; it flushed automatically and had a small blue light, which was convenient if you want to use it at night in the dark. At first, we were very disappointed that the room didn't have a refrigerator (minibar), as stated in the room description, as we had strictly chosen a hotel with a minibar. At reception, we were told we could put food in their refrigerator. As compensation, they allowed us to check out a little later for free. Also cheese yoghurts «Tea Ballet» were offered every day. They were very tasty and of good quality. There are several robots roaming inside the hotel, but we didn't understand their function either. You can pick up some essentials for your stay on the ground floor (tea, sleeping masks, hair elastics, and other suitable stuff). We really enjoyed the breakfasts. The selection wasn't huge compared to other hotels, but they were all well-prepared and delicious. The food wasn't too spicy, with pleasant seasonings, good milk tea, corn, etc., which gave the impression of a healthy meal. We had a few small suggestions regarding the room: it would have been very helpful to have more towel racks in the bathroom and a bit more storage space for clothes. Also, we noticed there were no forks available during breakfast, which was a little inconvenient. We believe addressing these small details would make the guest experience even better. Thank you for your hospitality!

SStAnastasiaMy friend and I stayed at the Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel during a layover in Urumqi, and it was the perfect choice for a short stay near the airport. The location is extremely convenient - just ~15 minutes away from the terminal, which made our transit hassle-free. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport, which was a great advantage. Though the hotel could use minor renovations, the price-to-quality ratio is excellent. The room had all the essentials: slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a comb, a hairdryer, an electric kettle, cups, and bottled water. The Wi-Fi worked well, which was important for us to plan our day trip and order a taxi. One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, which offered a good variety of options. Even if you're not yet accustomed to Chinese cuisine, you can find simple choices like boiled eggs and mantou (steamed buns). For sightseeing, the city center and main attractions (such as the Xinjiang Museum, Red Hill Park, the Grand Bazaar, and the mosque) are about 30 minutes away by taxi. We managed to explore all of them in a day. Nearby, there are also local markets, convenience stores, and small cafés for snacks and essentials. Overall, if you need a comfortable, budget-friendly hotel close to Urumqi Airport with good service and decent amenities, Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel is a great option. Highly recommended for transit travelers!

AAnonymous UserThis is my second time visiting Xinjiang, and I chose to stay here again. The service is absolutely top-notch! It's not the cold, trained politeness you find in five-star hotels; all the staff here radiate a genuine warmth that makes you feel incredibly comfortable. **Service:** No matter how late it was, the front desk and the security guards at the door were always so welcoming, greeting me warmly and proactively helping with my luggage. Plus, they offer a special nightly foot bath service, which is incredibly thoughtful. **Minibar:** There's even a little card on the table reminding guests to help themselves – they practically insist you eat and drink! 😂 The breakfast is also very rich, with a great variety of vegetables.

GGuest UserThe little brother is very enthusiastic, recommended the attractions to us, and also gave us a free upgrade to the suite, you can directly see the sunrise and the vast grassland on the most periphery. hhhhhh270 degree grassland scenery, but unfortunately the cows and horses are taking a leisurely walk outside to eat grass, and the real cows and horses work overtime in the beautiful scenery. When I came back from dinner at night, my brother picked us up and told us the time when the Milky Way appeared. I took a beautiful Milky Way and I have not seen it for many years. The lamb at the door is also cute and enthusiastic, and there are still days. Although I didn't bring my dog to play, I was very happy to run in the grassland every day.
