This hostel is amazing ! Everything is perfectly clean, at the reception they speak perfect English and can give you indications on what to do and directions. The hostel is really nice, you have a rooftop where you can enjoy some time outside. There is a place to do laundry and they provide laundry detergent for free, you even have a place to hang your clothes to let them dry. There is a small restaurant where you can have yunnan specialities as well as some european dish (pasta, burger). I had a really good stay and will definitely comeback next time I am in Kunming.

Nazhu was such a homely, comfortable, and an overall perfect stay in Lijiang! Every single staff member payed great attention to each and every guest, ensuring all our needs and requests were attended to. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all amenities you would need, including a Dyson hair dryer with attachments! The room also has a stunning view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, as well as the rooftop/highest floor of the hotel where the dining area is. Apart from the genuine, attentive care that every staff member gives you, the hotel also offers welcome fruits, daily afternoon tea sets and an evening tea-making session! The staff were also so sweet, preparing some sliced bread, oranges, and milk for us when they knew we were going to head up to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain the next day. There’s absolutely no need to worry about how to bring your luggage up & down from your room, as the staff will be there to assist you. The hotel breakfast is also really delicious, warm, and comforting as it is home-cooked in-house daily! You can enjoy your meals with a stunning scenery, and very adorable pets that belong to the owners of this homestay/hotel. We’ve enjoyed ourselves thoroughly here, and would definitely pick Nazhu over & over again when we do come back in the future! Thank you Nazhu 💘

The hotel room was spotless and very quiet at night, which is a huge plus for anyone who values good sleep – highly recommend it! The front desk staff was lovely; the lady at reception paid close attention to the notes I left on Trip.com and even gave me an eye mask. The location is super convenient for transport on weekends, and dining is a breeze with all sorts of malls downstairs and the old street right next door. Breakfast was also fantastic with a great variety of choices. I'll definitely pick this hotel again next time I'm in Kunming.

This was one of the most exciting and memorable stays during our trip in Yunnan. I had many warm and meaningful conversations with the owner, and I can truly say that the entire staff was extremely kind, attentive, and always ready to help whenever we needed anything. Their support made our stay feel very easy and comfortable. We stayed in a lovely room furnished entirely in traditional Chinese style, which made the experience feel truly unique and authentic. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and every detail reflected the local character. One of the best things about this accommodation is its location. It is right inside the Old Town of Lijiang—quiet and peaceful, yet at the same time you really feel like you are part of the old town itself. It never felt noisy, but instead warm, lively, and full of atmosphere. The courtyard is beautifully designed in classic Lijiang style, creating a space where guests can truly relax. I stayed on the second floor, and every afternoon I could enjoy the warm sunlight while looking down into the courtyard. Those moments felt incredibly romantic and special, and they gave me a deep sense of connection to the place. A very special highlight were the two dogs, so typical of Lijiang. They are quite big, but incredibly gentle and friendly, and they truly made the place feel like home. Their presence added warmth and character to the stay and made everything feel even more welcoming. This is one of those accommodations where foreign guests can genuinely feel at home while experiencing the real spirit of Lijiang. Everything about this stay felt authentic and heartfelt. I can recommend this place to everyone with complete confidence—it was simply perfect, a true 10 out of 10.

The hotel's guest services called a day in advance to ask about our estimated arrival time, if there were any elderly guests, and any special needs. It's clear the hotel really values guests' requirements. 👍🏼 The hotel environment is excellent, with good greenery, and staff are always maintaining it. Plus, every corner of the hotel is super photogenic! 😆 The front desk staff quickly processed our check-in and even upgraded our room for free! 👍🏼 They also explained all the important details clearly. 😎 The room was clean and tidy, with a great wet/dry separation and an amazing ambiance. I have to say, both the hotel's interior and the rooms are incredibly picturesque! 😛 The hotel breakfast offered both Western options and Yunnan's special rice noodles, and it was consistently good every morning. 😊 All the hotel staff were very friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. 👍🏼 From the environment, cleanliness, facilities, to the service, my family and I were extremely satisfied. Choosing the MGallery was definitely a wise decision! 🌹🌹🌹

I had the most beautiful stay in Jianshui. The hotel was clean, bright and very comfortable. The hospitality was fantastic, which as a solo traveller I was very grateful for. I was given tea and fruit on arrival and the laoban introduced me to all the key spots in Jianshui and sent me recommendations of food spots too. I was given a delicious breakfast with some of the best congee I've had in China! I really felt at home. The location is fantastic, right in the old town on a beautiful side street with a peaceful quaint atmosphere. The hotel also organised a taxi to take me onto my next destination - thank you both for a wonderful stay. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Excellent 5-diamond hotel in the best location for holiday in Kunming. Easily our favourite hotel on our trip to Yunnan. Nanping Pedestrian Street and Shuncheng Shopping Centre are less than 5 minutes walk away. Kunming Old Street is not too far away either. Our room was spacious, modern, clean and nicely decorated. Nice view from the windows. No smoke smell. The bathroom, vanity area and toilets were thoughtfully designed. There was even a portable clothes steamer in our room. Little details that made our stay more comfortable. The were plenty of washing machines and dryers that were free for us to use. We didn’t even need to wait around for clothes to finish washing. The helpful staff there would help us transfer our washed clothes into the dryer. We just had to provide our room number, and the staff would keep the dried clothes into laundry bags for us to collect later. Best laundry service in any hotel in the world! The breakfast buffet offered lots of choices.

After two incredible days exploring Lijiang’s ancient cobblestone alleys and vibrant night markets, I have decided to extend my stay by one additional day. The charm of the Old Town, with its winding canals and timeless Naxi culture, has truly captured my heart. While the past two days allowed me to visit the iconic Black Dragon Pool and stroll along Sifang Street, I realize that one more day is needed to fully appreciate the surrounding beauty. Specifically, I take a day trip to the serene Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, whose peaks have been teasing me from a distance. A final evening wandering the quieter, lantern-lit lanes would also allow for a deeper connection to this UNESCO World Heritage site.

The most satisfying stay during my trip to Dali! Shanhai Yunjian has an amazing location, very convenient for walking to the South Gate of the Ancient City, and it's wonderfully quiet despite being close to the hustle and bustle. The room was spacious and clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the toiletries were high quality. The front desk staff were warm and thoughtful, proactively helping with trip planning and luggage. Breakfast was rich and delicious. From the terrace, you can see Cangshan Mountain in the distance – the ambiance is fantastic. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dali, highly recommended!

My mother unexpectedly got injured this time, so to make it easier for her to board the flight, I booked this hotel at the last minute. The hotel's location is excellent, and they offer a shuttle bus service to the airport, which was a huge help for our situation. The hotel is very large, with magnificent, somewhat aged decor. The lobby is enormous. The room was also very spacious, though I don't understand why the bathroom had a transparent glass wall. The room's interior design also felt a bit dated. Service: Friendly and polite.
