Hotels With breakfast in Zagreb County, Croatia

The location is near a freight train hub, but it didn't bother us. The room was spacious and quite clean. The hotel owners cut corners on the decor: the walls in the hallway and parts of the room, as well as the ceilings, are bare concrete, not even plastered. Now they call it an 'original style' (chuckles). It's inconvenient that the sink is in the room, not in the bathroom. The room has bathrobes and slippers, but no disposable toothbrushes. There's a small electric kettle and a capsule coffee machine, but not even a single bottle of drinking water... Unexpected for a hotel that isn't exactly cheap. When booking, it wasn't mentioned anywhere that the hotel's underground parking costs 12 euros per night, which was also a surprise. Breakfasts are quite substantial, but there wasn't even simple oatmeal... The available food isn't very suitable for someone with gastritis...

I stayed on Sat~Sun, and there was a public parking lot diagonally across, so parking was free. (Zagreb public parking lot: Saturday 15:00 ~ Sunday free) The accommodation was much bigger than I thought. The facilities were also good. The breakfast place was small, so it would be good to eat when there were no people. Breakfast was delicious.

The Esplanade Hotel scores big on location — it's perfectly situated and hard to beat for exploring the area on foot. The beds were genuinely comfortable and made for a restful night's sleep. That said, the rest of the interior is showing its age. The furniture and furnishings are visibly worn and could use replacing. It doesn't ruin the stay, but it is noticeable and brings the overall experience down a notch. Overall a solid choice if location and sleep quality are your priorities — just be aware that the room itself has seen better days.

The hotel is located in the city center, about a 10-15 minute walk from the main square and 20 minutes from the upper town. Zagreb is great for city walks, so it doesn't feel far at all. The hotel service was very warm and friendly; the front desk was always happy to help with anything. The room facilities and breakfast were satisfactory for the price. There's a railway behind the hotel and a tram right outside, so there's some noise, but I didn't think it would affect my sleep. However, those with poor sleep quality might be a little bothered.

Ten thousand times more beautiful than I imagined! Maybe it's because I checked in so late, but they upgraded me to this huge room. It's absolutely gorgeous with an amazing view, and the hygiene is excellent – very clean and bright. Highly recommend to everyone!

I was informed by email in advance that there was a large event at the bar downstairs that day, but I didn't think it was so noisy. Rather than sound, the deep bass sound is very loud, and earplugs and noise canceling are really meaningless. I have cancer from 12:00 to 3:30 in the middle of the night. It was really painful. If you receive an email saying that there is a large event, cancellation is free, so we recommend cancellation.

The hotel is at this little quiet corner which is also good since we had to open the window at night (aircon is centralised and it’s still “winter” despite in spring). We were given level 6 which is the highest floor so it helped with the quietness. The breakfast spread was amazing, lots of cheeses and cured meat. The cooked vegetables are the best, though it can get a little oily. It’s a convenient location to walk around the city, and visit the parks and museum. There are good food options around as well. However, we were there during Easter so most of the places are close but there was a pizza place within 6 mins walk which is open during Easter. Lots of supermarkets around, so it’s easy to get snacks and fruits.

I found this to be a relaxing hotel where you can stay comfortably. The room was very clean, so I could rest assured. It's also conveniently located close to Zagreb's main train station and the Old Town, which I think is great for exploring the city.

Located  close to bus station; room slightly  more dated than appears on the booking site; besides that enjoyed staying in the room with big bed and comfortable mattress; nice bathroom/shower; fridge in room: tv with apps loaded incl Youtube and Netflix; only complaints would be no safe in the room and the  bed pillows could be a bit smaller; breakfast offering was varied; hotel appears to be well run with breakfast area being well-managed by staff, engagements with hotel reception were pleasant and efficient and room cleaning was done promptly
