⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommend — A Wonderful Stay! After 6 days of traveling, Novotel Budapest felt like a true home base. The breakfast spread alone is worth it — fresh fruits, sausages, cold cuts, unlimited juice and coffee, hot meals, and as a Filipino traveler, I was delighted to find rice! A small touch that meant a lot after days on the road. The pool and sauna were a perfect way to unwind after long days of sightseeing. The bed was comfortable, and I loved the thoughtful detail of drinking water stations on each floor so guests can refill their bottles. Location-wise, it’s excellent — within a 30-minute walk to the Parliament Building, the iconic Shoes on the Danube Shore, and St. Stephen’s Basilica. Prefer public transport? The nearest stop is just a 4-minute walk away. A well-rounded hotel that balances comfort, convenience, and great amenities. I’d stay here again without hesitation!❤️

Arrived around 9 am, initially just wanted to drop off my luggage, but ended up checking in. The room had everything I needed, great value for money. The location for getting around is excellent. It's actually quite easy to find, you just need to ring the doorbell.

This is a pretty standard hotel, but it's really close to the airport and they have a shuttle service, which is super convenient. It's also very quiet, making it perfect for travelers flying in or out, or those on a layover. The rooms are clean and tidy, and all the amenities you need are there, including a water heater. I especially liked how the toilet, sink, and shower are all separated – very well thought out. Overall, a great hotel that I'd definitely recommend.

The location of the hotel is relatively remote and it takes multiple transfers from the airport to take public transportation. The nearest small shopping mall also takes more than ten minutes to walk. The flight arrived in the morning, but could not be checked in early, and had to wait until 2 pm. If the hotel can be more flexible on the check-in time, the experience will be better. The room facilities look old and there is no power socket at the bedside, which is very inconvenient. I live on the 5th floor of the top floor, but the roadside noise is still very clear, and the sound insulation and shading effect are not satisfactory. Although the water pressure and hot water in the bathroom are great, there are obviously stains on the towel that have not been replaced for many years. There are not many breakfast options and the taste is ordinary. The actual experience of this hotel is completely not worthy of its 4 star rating. On the whole, the price is very low and I will not stay for the second time.

It was very good hotel, room was very small but equipped with all necessary facilities. Breakfast was superb and have huge selection. We had two negative experiences, first day hotel AC was not working and they changed the room next day. One day they have water shutdown from 11am to 8 pm and that was very bad experience but they did what they can. All the staff was very helpful and cooperative. I hope after renovations they will become a very good option in Budapest. They have no tea/ coffee arrangement in the room which hopefully will be included if they go under IHG group.

This is a chain hotel with a consistent style, suitable for all ages. We were allowed to check in before 2 PM, which was a nice touch. Our room was on the top floor and the window could be adjusted for ventilation. There's a restaurant, and I saw a buffet in the evening. The front desk staff were very welcoming.

I stayed at Avenue for a month. Overall a value for money option with smart design, ready-to-assist employees at a very nice central location where you can get the Budapest vibes in an affordable economically - and more sociable - way. It is very convenient also that it has box locks inside the bed cabin. It is particular useful for professionals with devices n paperwork so as not to stress over the security of your personal items. A very functional n esthetically pleasant design. Vasiliki-Nefeli Lagoudaki, architect engineer NTUA, MsC

The location is super convenient! From the airport, I took the 200E bus and then the M3 metro, and it was just a few hundred meters' walk. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, it's close to Liberty Bridge, and right in front of the hotel is Elisabeth Bridge. The breakfast spread was great, and they even gave a complimentary bottle of water upon check-in.

I wholeheartedly recommend the Mercure Budapest Castle Hill – my entire stay was absolutely flawless! The hotel boasts an unbeatable location right in the heart of Castle Hill. You can easily walk to famous attractions like Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church, and it's super convenient to reach the city center and train station with metro and bus stops right nearby. Getting around couldn't be easier. The room itself was pristine and stylish, with a design that beautifully incorporates local art, creating a fantastic ambiance. It was spacious and bright, and the soundproofing was excellent; despite being on a main thoroughfare, it was incredibly quiet. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. The bathroom facilities were complete, with plenty of hot water and stable pressure, making for a great washing experience. High-speed, free WiFi was available throughout the room, allowing for smooth work or streaming. The 24-hour front desk staff were warm, professional, and multilingual, making communication a breeze. Check-in and check-out were efficient and quick, and services like luggage storage and directions were thoughtful and thorough. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety of Eastern and Western dishes, all fresh and continuously replenished, providing diverse options to kickstart your day. The hotel's restaurant, bar, business center, and parking facilities are all comprehensive, catering to both leisure and business travelers. The hotel environment is clean and grand, with unique designs in the public areas – the playful decorations in the lobby were particularly eye-catching. Overall, the value for money is outstanding compared to other hotels in its class; the environment, service, and facilities are all top-notch. If you're visiting Budapest, this is definitely a prime choice, and I'll certainly choose it again next time!

PpuffyCloudVery close to the metro, easy to get to the airport and main attractions. Close to the central market, many restaurants nearby. Convenient to travel within the city. The room size is good. The bed is comfortable. With individual bed light and socket near each bed. The bathroom is tiny but clean. A cooking panel installed inside the room, amenities are great. Access to the shared bathroom which means that everyone can shower at the same time. The shared bathroom is also clean, and even more spacious. Luggage storage is free and safe with a lock. There's also a large common area and shared kitchen. Considering the price, location, amenities and quality, highly recommended.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for four days, and I've grown quite fond of it. I found the transportation incredibly convenient, especially if you're planning to leave Hungary by train to your next city, as the train station (Keleti pályaudvar) is right at your doorstep. For daily commutes, you'll mainly rely on subway transfers. However, I must mention that this area, being Keleti, doesn't feel as safe as other parts of the city. It can get a bit chaotic at night, especially on the streets to the right of the hotel, which are often quite deserted. I had their breakfast here, and unfortunately, I never got to try their stir-fried noodles; it was stir-fried rice every day. I heard they used to have amazing stir-fried noodles. They generally offer yogurt, fruits, cheese, and various dishes, though the bread selection isn't extensive. Overall, I think this hotel is quite good. Their hospitality and service are also commendable; when I first arrived, I rested in their lobby, and they provided water and fruit. Room service was decent too!

GGuest UserThe Estilo Fashion Hotel has great service, a comfortable room and a good location. We arrived in Budapest much later than expected and were very thankful to the staff and their speedy check in process that allowed us to get to our river cruise reservation on time. The staff were friendly and helpful each time we interacted with them. The location was perfect for us. We were steps away from the Fővám tér station which had metro and tram service to many of Budapest's major sites like the parliament, chain bridge, Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion and many more. We were also steps away from the large Central Market Hall and we were on the popular Vaci Street so there were plenty of souvenirs, restaurants, bars, cafes and other conveniences close by. We took the metro from the station by the hotel that gave us easy access to the Kelenfold Station (to get to/from Vienna or Bratislava), The room was compact but there was enough space for all of our things. It was a bit narrow with the placement of the desk and chair at the foot of the bed but we shuffled around to get by. There was a large storage cabinet as well as hangers for our things to help get stuff out of the way. The room has a mini fridge and we got a kettle and tea from the front desk during our stay. The room was quiet and the bed was comfy. The room ran a bit hot but the large window helped bring in some cool and fresh air. The bathroom was good with good shower pressure and plenty of hot water. They have an all in one body wash in the shower and some body lotion by the sink too. We did bring some of our products but the hotel's was decent too. They had a towel rack which made our towels nice and warm and helped dry off our swimming stuff after a nice visit to the Széchenyi Thermal Baths. The breakfast was nice and plentiful. They had very good scrambled eggs, breads and a tray of cured meats and cheeses each day. They also had a good variety of spreads and healthy items to choose from. We liked having yoghurt with a variety of seeds in it. The juice and coffee selection was nice too to help start our day. Getting there early wasn't a big issue for us but we found as it got busier not everything was consistently available.

@@travel_with_the_sunVery chaotic and confusing check-in process. Arrived before check-in and got registered, just needed to get my key at check-in time. So far so good. At check-in time I am directed to an iPad terminal to register with with my name and my booking number from the accommodation, not then one on the booking portal, which I've no clue which it is. After me struggling to look-up this number out of countless CRM-emails I received from the Hostel the friendly staff member, looked up my name in the guest list, went back to the receptionist desk to check my check-in amd got my key card to my room. Arrived in the room it didn't matched with the category and pictures I booked. Went back down to the reception, who fixed it. All this took a lot of time and not to mention all the Welcoming and Info-e-mails you receive from Maverick's at any occasion of the ”customer journey” process. To the management and marketing folks there: Keep your check-in process simple. Your visitors are offered to pre-check-in online or at an iPad terminal in the lobby, just to end up queuing again at the reception to identify yourself again, pay the tourist tax or get their key card. It's nonsense. Have a vending machine spitting out the keycard for those cases. Just keep the regular check-in process as anywhere else directly at the reception with showing your passport etc... Stop these insane amount of email at every step of the customer journey, no-one needs this ot also makes it difficult to find one's relevant booking information. Let's come to the positive part. Staff is friendly and helpful. My room was very nice, clean and comfortable, it was a good deal to. Good internet. The kitchen is great, well equipped and a nice place to connect with people. Free coffee and tea, also a water dispenser in the lobby - great! There are many free activities organized by the hostel, we had a wine tasting for free and it was nice to talk to other guest there. Location is central, where you'll find all you need, even mini marts open 24/7. Free locker before and after check-in.

GGuest UserHotel Review: A Cozy Stay in Budapest I recently had the opportunity to stay at a hotel in Budapest, and my experience was quite pleasant. Overall Ambiance: This hotel offers a more home-like environment rather than the traditional professional hotel experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, which made it easy to unwind during my stay. Location: While the hotel may appear to be slightly distant from the city center, I found that accessing the main attractions was not an issue. With a variety of convenient transportation options, including trams and the metro, reaching the heart of Budapest was straightforward and manageable. It’s an ideal location for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city while still being easily connected. Service: The receptionist staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I appreciated their attentiveness; they would knock multiple times before entering the room, ensuring guest comfort and privacy. Additionally, the option to store my luggage at the hotel after check-out was a significant advantage, allowing me to explore the city without the burden of my bags. Room Comfort and Amenities: My room was spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was decent, providing a good night’s sleep. Despite my short one-night stay, I found the accommodations to be more than satisfactory. Dining: The breakfast section offered a variety of options, making it a pleasant way to start the day. I found the selection to be adequate and enjoyable, contributing to a positive overall experience. Conclusion: In summary, if you’re seeking a quiet retreat away from the city’s hectic pace, this hotel in Budapest is a commendable choice. With its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and accessible location, it provides a comfortable base for both short and extended stays. My experience was quite satisfactory, and I would recommend it to others looking for a relaxed stay in Budapest.

MMeowMeowMeThe hotel facilities are a bit old, but very clean. I didn't encounter any unpleasant issues during my stay. The hotel breakfast was great, and the staff were quick to replenish food. The location is excellent, within walking distance to two major attractions: Fisherman's Bastion and Buda Castle. If you walk a bit further, you can see the Parliament Building and Chain Bridge at night. The only downside was that on the last night, the couple next door were, uh, *very* loud, and it sounded quite painful. I'm pretty sure the whole building could hear them...
