Had a very warm welcome. The hotel is a little dated, but was clean. Super friendly and helpful staff and a very large continental breakfast. There were cute tiny olive oil bottles, which was very appreciated. The coffee is a self-serve machine and there was canteen serve for all manner of hot foods, lots of bakery variety. I really enjoyed my one night stay after missing a flight at Verona airport. The staff helped me plan a really fun day until my flight the next day, they stored my luggage, while I went to see the sights. The most beautiful square in the world, dantes statue, Romeo and Juliets balcony, the castle, the river, the amphitheatre and I was lucky to find a wonderful festive market. A wonderful night and day in Verona. I went to the gusti gardens which absolutely wonderful highlight of my day.
The hotel is located on the side of a big road, but the windows were not soundproofed, so the sound of the car was noisy. Also, the room was too small to open the carrier, so it was difficult. The shower booth was also very small and uncomfortable, and the hotel parking lot was quite far away, so it was troublesome to move around. But the staff were all very friendly, and I was sorry that I couldn't exchange the room, and I don't know if that's why, but they let me use breakfast for free. Also, restaurants across the hotel are available at a 10% discount.
Very clean, beautifully furnished rooms (many of nix), mega friendly staff, super breakfast (especially suitable for various inconsistencies), deep garage also suitable for large vehicles (pick-um).
The location is also very good - you are fast in Venice, Verona or the Gardasee
The location is quite convenient, about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station, and there are bus stops nearby.
There's no kettle, and all drinks in the mini-fridge, including a 500ml bottle of mineral water, cost 1.5 euros. The tray only has two glass cups, with no free coffee or tea for brewing. Even though I never use them, their absence makes the hotel seem cheap. The only saving grace was that the restaurant staff downstairs were very nice and willing to fill my thermos with hot water. There was only toilet paper, no facial tissues. This is the stingiest four-star hotel I've ever stayed in.
I had already paid the full room rate, but upon check-in, they insisted on scanning my passport and credit card together for their records. Luckily, I had covered my security code beforehand. I don't understand why this rundown place needed to keep a credit card on file, probably for those overpriced drinks in the fridge? I'd been traveling for ten days, and all other hotels only required an additional city tax payment. This old-fashioned place was the only one that insisted on a credit card deposit.
The staff at the hotel are so friendly and professional! We loved the the guy at check in, so friendly and helpful! We enjoyed the spa. The breakfast is decent I would say, basic things, cakes and pastry are so delicious, the juices are soso.

The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location, but honestly, everything else feels a bit subpar compared to other four-star chains like Hilton. Perhaps it's because Venice's urban infrastructure is quite old. The hotel lobby is nice, but the in-room facilities have some flaws, like certain glued-on fixtures that easily fall off. They do have both new European and old Italian standard power outlets, which is, I guess, okay. There are also a few other minor imperfections, and around 2 AM, there seemed to be a party with young people nearby.
Overall, though, the location and experience justify the price. There are plenty of dining options nearby; I recommend trying some of the highly-rated restaurants for pasta, pizza, and gelato – the prices are good too. After all, hotels on the main island are even less cost-effective and have older facilities. If you have higher expectations for your experience, I'd suggest going a few kilometers away to a Hilton Garden Inn or similar. The price is about the same, the facilities are better, but transportation isn't as convenient. Otherwise, you'd have to pay double the price for something on the main island. For lower expectations, you could try other nearby hostels that aren't hotels.

My stay here was pretty great. Although the hotel isn't directly on Venice's main island, its location is actually super convenient. It's really close to Venezia Mestre train station, about a 7-minute walk, making it easy to catch a train or hop on a bus right outside the hotel. The bus takes about 12 minutes to get to the main island, which is incredibly hassle-free for independent travelers.
I stayed during the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics and expected prices to be exorbitant, but this hotel was surprisingly affordable and offered excellent value for money. I was genuinely pleased.
Furthermore, the neighborhood has a good number of businesses run by overseas Chinese, so finding places to eat and shop is easy, making it very friendly for Chinese tourists. The hotel's front desk staff are also Chinese, and especially during Chinese New Year, it was really comforting to meet fellow countrymen while abroad. Communication was a breeze.
Overall, this is a conveniently located, affordably priced hotel with a great stay experience. I'd definitely recommend it.
Charming and Comfortable Stay at Hotel Firenze
I had a lovely stay at Hotel Firenze. The interior is beautifully decorated, and the room was exceptionally clean. I especially appreciated the heated toilet—such a thoughtful touch! The bed was very comfortable, and I had a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was a highlight each morning—delicious and beautifully presented.
The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, which made arrival and departure easy, though it’s a bit of a walk to reach the historic city center. Being next to a main road, there was some street noise, but it wasn’t disruptive.
Overall, a charming and well-kept hotel that offers a pleasant and cozy stay.
Very close to the outlets, we stayed for shopping, there are many restaurants and bars around, the room is small, free parking is very convenient.

Great
LLady WI was skeptical reading previous reviews but decided to give it a try for one night during my business trip as I’m an IHG member. Having experienced staying at 5 different hotels in this city — most of them within walking distance on Corso Porta Nuova (main street leading from the train station to many main attractions) — I can say that Indigo was among one of my top 2 choices.
The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated — the headboard of the bed immediately attracted attention, striking but elegant, with paintings seemingly telling romantic tales of the city’s history; open wardrobe was clever as it made the room seem spacious while leaving plenty of space for hanging clothes and jackets especially on a rainy day.
The balcony was a super nice touch and was my favorite to come back to in the evening with a view of charming Verona at night watching people and cars passing by. Two chairs, a coffee table with blankets and a little bit of floral decorations. I spent a fair bit of time despite the cold and rain, soaking in the beautiful images which were among the most special memories I’d carry with me from this trip.
Check-in was super efficient. Anna at the reception was an absolute joy to meet and interact with. She’s super kind, thoughtful and professional in helping me with storing my suitcase as I was in a rush to catch my train to a nearby city on a rainy day; she gave clear, accurate info helping me to go to the train station within 10mins; and on the next day, kindly offered recommendations for cafes. Her passion and enthusiasm and friendliness is above and beyond many of her peers. Her genuine smile stands out from others who might be just trying to get their job done. You can tell Anna is truly exceptional and a wonderful ambassador for Hotel Indigo. Keep up the good work!
Breakfast service was super efficient, friendly, attentive. The professional and thoughtful gentleman offered multiple times coffee, tea, orange juice, etc, making sure each guest had everything needed for a good start of the day, quickly clearing dishes while guests stepped away - perfectly seamless. Truly outstanding attention to details. The restaurant offered a good variety of food choices: raw veggies are rare in hotel breakfast buffet but here they did so that was a plus in my book. Fresh fruits, muesli, (no sugar-added) yogurt and scrambled eggs were my go-to. Although I didn’t eat pastries or bread or drink Prosecco for breakfast, if that’s something you like then you’d be pleased to know they offered plenty to satisfy different tastes.
The only thing that prevented Indigo from making my No. 1 choice in Verona was the shower. I requested specifically for a shower because from the photos shared by other travelers and reviews many commented that the bath look dated and needed update. I personally do not take baths in hotels so having a new, good water pressure shower with fast efficient drain would be way more important. They did honor my request with a standup shower corner stall. However, the square-shaped shower stall area was so small that my elbows (I’m petite size female) kept knocking on the glass doors. I believe they’re scheduled for major renovation in Jan-Feb 2024 so it’d be interesting to see if they remodel the bathrooms and showers.
XXiaomaishiThe room's location was decent, but since it's not on the main island, we had to pay €15 per person daily for the hotel shuttle boat. Also, the hotel provides NO complimentary drinking water! NO complimentary drinking water! NO complimentary drinking water! A small bottle of water costs €6, and there's nowhere nearby to buy any. If you don't want to fall into this trap, choose this hotel carefully!
On our first night, I messaged the hotel asking how to get there by boat but received no reply. We ended up taking a public ferry and then lugging our luggage across a bridge. For guests who aren't strong, it's best to confirm arrival methods in advance!
The most outrageous part was being overcharged €48 upon checkout. They charged me for another room's bill (my room number ended in 0, theirs in 6). The signatures were completely different, but they didn't even check. It took ages, and they had an attitude like they were doing me a favor by finally letting me leave. Absolutely ridiculous!
GGaibiansuishidouzaijinxingThe hotel is located near the train station, about a seven to eight-minute walk away. The exterior design of the hotel looks very modern. However, the first room we were given only had a shower curtain in the bathroom, and water would spill out everywhere when showering, making the floor wet – I almost slipped. On top of that, the shower curtain smelled musty, which was quite disgusting.
After speaking with the front desk, we were moved to another room with a glass door for the shower.
This is a four-star hotel, and the official website photos showed a three-piece toiletry set (shampoo, conditioner, body wash). In reality, the room only had a three-in-one product for hand/hair/body washing. This is a significant difference in quality; typically, three-in-one products are found in hostels, B&Bs, and budget hotels, not a four-star establishment. This is misleading for consumers. When I first brought it up with the front desk, they said there was no three-piece set. After I showed them the official website photos on my second attempt, the front desk reluctantly provided body wash and body lotion.
GGuest UserI received a message from the store in advance, explaining the route in detail. Take bus No. 2 from the train station and get off at the stop before the Riya Tow Bridge. After getting off the bus, follow the instructions and walk for 5 minutes to the hotel. Go to the second floor to complete the check-in formalities and then work. Staff took 10 minutes to walk to the apartment. Our room is on the second floor, with 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with seasonings and a washing machine. The apartment is not in a busy area and is very quiet. It's a few minutes' walk to the river, very convenient. There is a market by the river in the morning where you can buy ingredients, and the seafood is fresh and cheap. Although prices are high in Venice, it is very cheap to buy water and food from supermarkets and markets.
GGuest UserFantastic, absolutely recommend for solo female travelers in Venice! The value for money is unbelievably good! They have all sorts of facilities.
Check-in convenience: Easy and quick check-in.
Safety: Very safe, it looks grand and legitimate. Plus, the free luggage storage has cages you can lock yourself, which is super convenient for exploring after check-out.
Cleanliness: Great, clean and tidy. The en-suite toilet and shower in the female dorm for seven people were spacious and hygienic.
Service: Very friendly!
AAnonymous UserVery good experience in this hotel. The very large and clean room. The staff very careful and have gluten-free food. Furthermore, it is very close to the Academia bridge that crosses the great channel. They also have a restaurant in the same hotel. I therefore recommend it 100%.
GGuest UserIn order to better express my feelings, I translated it from Chinese to English and then into Italian. I hope you can understand it. This hotel is very comfortable, even if I am traveling alone. The owner of the hotel is a very enthusiastic person! ! Why? First of all, I admire him very much. He is on duty at night and works hard! Secondly, this hotel has a lounge, and you can enjoy the music and beautiful scenery at night! ! Because my friend said to take me out to other places, I came back to the hotel very late that night. I was greeted by the enthusiasm and patience of the hotel owner! ! Because I was very happy that night and a little tipsy. I told the boss that I wanted to jump into the swimming pool naked, and the boss did not refuse, and also prepared a bath towel for me and asked me to pay attention to my body! He is really a very warm-hearted person!! Breakfast is also very sufficient! ! Before I checked out, the boss even gave me a bath towel with their hotel logo for me to keep as a souvenir. Thank you very much! ! I will stay in this hotel again next time! ! !(In addition, the flowers in the picture were not picked by me, I picked them up on the floor of the hotel.)
GGuest UserGreat location and a very well kept, clean and tidy place. The AC and hot water worked perfectly fine. Only 15 minutes from bus station. They also offer a shuttle service to Venice at a very reasonable price. The only disappointment was closed pool that they said would open end of June and WiFi connection was a bit slow. Other than that everything was fine.
If you want a relaxed family holidays Hu Venezia is perfect place for you.
