Hotels With Breakfast in Nagano Prefecture, Japan

We had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Metropolitan Nagano. The location is excellent, as it is directly connected to Nagano Station, which made traveling around the area very convenient. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay, and check-in was smooth. There are also many restaurants and shops nearby, which made it easy to find food and explore the area. Overall, it was a great place to stay in Nagano and we would definitely consider staying here again.

Good location, train station is just opposite. Nearby also have many F&B. Cleanliness is good. Room is not very spacious, it makes me think of Shinjuku Washington Hotel size. But service is very good, more friendly, and they help us to move the luggage up to our room straight after our bag hv transfer via luggage transfer service. So when we reach hotel, we just need to check in and go up straight. There's washing machine and dryer provided with fee, however is a small one. The lobby is very nice and comfortable. Will consider to stay here again if I visiting Nagano.

Excellent hotel! We were upgraded to a deluxe king room, and the bed was huge and incredibly comfortable. The room also had a microwave and a washing machine, which was a great bonus. The large public bath and massage chairs were fantastic, and it was really helpful to have a Chinese-speaking receptionist at the front desk.

Great Stay at Hotel Courtland, Matsumoto! Just wanted to drop a quick review for Hotel Courtland in Matsumoto—what a pleasant find! The location is absolutely fantastic. Seriously, it's about a 5-minute, worry-free walk from the station. This was a huge plus, especially since we had luggage; no need to struggle or look for a taxi. Adding to the value, the price at the time of booking was very cheap, making this a fantastic deal! As for the hotel itself, I have to say, it's exceptionally clean. Like, super clean. It made our stay feel very comfortable and relaxing. What really stood out was the amazing hospitality. We arrived after a 4-hour ride from Tokyo and were pretty frozen from the winter shock. The staff kindly offered us a free early check-in, which was incredibly thoughtful and exactly what we needed to warm up and refresh. It really saved the day! We didn't get a chance to try the breakfast this time, but based on everything else, I imagine it's great too. Highly recommend this hotel if you're ever in Matsumoto!

I booked a deluxe twin room on the new standard floor, which was 30 square meters – a decent size. It's about a 10+ minute walk from the JR station, and the route is straightforward. When I checked in, I found that an extra bed had been added for me. I also booked breakfast on the 16th floor based on positive reviews. It wasn't too crowded in the morning, and sitting by the window, looking at the distant mountains, set a great tone for the day. It's a shame it didn't snow during my stay. The bathroom in the room had a separate wet and dry area. Everything else was good, except there was no complimentary water in the fridge.

The location is superb as its just infront of Nagano Station. Room was fine but a bit outdated but still acceptable. The local Japanese staff was really friendly and helpful but the Indian/Bangladeshi guy who was at the receptionist was cocky. We asked whats the nearby attraction places we could go while waiting for the check-in time (because he did not allow early check-in, which still understandable) but he simply said, ‘you can go to the infomation counter at Nagano station’ Bruh???? What’s wrong with you? Who hurt you, brother? Hence, i cant really appreciate his service, but the older Japanese guy was really friendly and tried to help even he was not really fluent in English but i still appreciate his effort. Oh btw, there is no free parking for guests. You will need to park it somewhere else nearby the hotel.

The hotel is very close to the station, with a 7/11 downstairs. The area is lively, a hub for restaurants and malls, yet surprisingly quiet – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. The room size is generous for a Japanese hotel, and the facilities are modern and well-maintained. On the 11th floor, there's an open-air onsen with complimentary Yakult and cold drinks, and free ramen is offered in the evenings. I had a very satisfying stay and highly recommend it.

A good hotel close to Nagano Station, though it's still about a 10-minute walk. They offer a buffet breakfast and even room cleaning (despite what was stated during booking about no cleaning for stays under 3 nights). Essential amenities are provided, including a hairdryer, kettle, mugs, toothbrushes, and so on. Downside #1: It gets cold inside during winter, so you have to turn on the air conditioning for heating. Downside #2: The outlets don't charge European laptops, even with an adapter. Downside #3: The Wi-Fi periodically disconnected.

Perfectly located at Nagano station - connected by walkway bridge with Don Quijote just a few steps away. The staff at front desk were fantastic, always smiling and proactive too! The room is a littler dated but more than comfortable for the night. Amenities at lobby were good enough to get by too, PJs provided at each room floor. Good stopover if you are going for a day trip to the Snow Monkey Park.

Booked a room here for 1 day just to explore matsumoto. this hotel was a pretty good distance to walk to the tourist attraction such as the matsumoto castle and nawate shopping street. loved that they offered free icecream or ramen between 8:00-10:00 pm. If you ever check out and you still have time before your bus leaves, you can also ask front desk to keep your luggage so you can be luggage free exploring. they were super kind and understanding with all the requests we had.
