This is one of my favourite hotel to stay whenever i visit jb . It is very convenient to get around and there are many eateries around the area too. This round we manage to stay in tower one, the room is clean and was renovated. The only sad part was the ironing board is faulty , cannot even make it stand on it own and the ironing board was very thin , is very difficult to iron your clothes.other than that everything was fine. Hope next time I go I will be able to use a good condition ironing board to iron my Crumpet clothes.
Love this hotel. We stayed at higher level , nice view as long as nothing in front blocking us. Room is nice, bed is comfortable and overall smell good. Mini bar snacks are not provided except coffee and tea , we bring our own drinks. Toiletries are provided. Breakfast is nice especially the nasi lemak , curry chicken , tea tarik (though very sweet).. I don’t see any satay (maybe next time the hotel should include it as it is also Malaysia signature food).

First time staying at this hotel, and even though it was just for one night, I really enjoyed it. The room was a bit small but clean, the pillows were comfy, and the air-cond was adjustable. We had a small issue with the TV, but the front desk sorted it out super fast — kudos! All the staff, from the security guard to the front desk and even those we met in the lift, were friendly and made us feel very welcome. And the best part is that the breakfast was really delicious with lots of choices.

This tine, we booked 3D2N staycation at Holiday Villa. This was my amazing staycation at Holiday Villa. Connecting room in high floor and facing the same direction as the main road to the hotel lobby. We got to watch fireworks released by Malaysian residents celebrating Hari Raya on the eve. Nice fireworks from good view. Breakfast was good too. Rooms were kept clean . The only 2 improvements are firstly, the queen size bed with bath tub, taking a shower is challenging as the water leak from the side of the bath tub to the floor causing the toilet floor to be wet. I have to clean the floor after my shower. The second improvement is Friday soya bean drink was served hot , unfortunately today (Saturday) the soya bean drink is served cold.
Counter staff can be more presentable and professional to serve customers in line than doing own things.
Was able to check in early as room was available when I arrived. Staff is very pleasant and professional in handling enquiries.
There are 2 reception counters, one is at ground level whereas the other one is at level 7. They also provide express check out and online check out.
I was given a room at level 14. The twin room was very spacious and beds was very comfortable. The only downside was both the room and toilet door are faulty. They cannot be locked. The door ledge screw was also loose.
It took about 20mins drive from CIQ to the hotel. The hotel is connected to Paradigm mall and many shops/eateries are available.
Overall experience was good and I wouldnt mind returning to the hotel.
The hotel's location is great, with plenty of food options nearby, and they even accept WeChat Pay, which is very convenient for Chinese travelers. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Breakfast used to be a buffet, but for some reason, it's now à la carte. I tried to ask why, but they didn't seem to understand. In the end, they made me a plate, and it tasted pretty good.

We booked the Deluxe King Plus. The bed was huge at 2.1m, and the oversized pillows were big enough for two kids and both parents. On top of that, it also had a sofa bed for two people, which is fine for kids, but adults probably would not sleep very well on it. The soundproofing was superb, and NSK Supermarket was just within walking distance.
We tried the Kanteen breakfast food, and the tom yum bee hoon is a must-try. We also loved BookXcess and went back every day. They had a promotion: buy 4 books and get 1 free, with the free one being the cheapest. Book price are relatively cheaper(alot of olden books. Location-wise, it is near Tuas, so you can take Grab, but it is not the most convenient.
Overall, 9/10. Will come back again

I stayed at Five Hotel primarily for the location, which is unbeatable. It’s an easy walk to the CIQ, major malls, and plenty of great eateries. If you just need a clean place to crash, it hits the basics.
However, the room design left a lot to be desired. The space is very cramped, and the bathroom layout is questionable—there was no soap at the sink, and the shower screen is too small to contain the water, so the floor gets soaked. The biggest issue, though, is the noise. The walls are thin, and every time a door opens, a loud alarm sounds. If you have neighbors coming or going late at night or early in the morning, you will hear it. As a light sleeper, this was a major downside. It’s clean and functional, but I’ll likely look elsewhere for my next trip.

The location of the hotel is superb. Opposite JB City Square and 5mins away from CIQ. Convenience for those that want to stay near CIQ. Connected to 2 malls. Private car park. Do take note that the car park a bit narrow so be careful. Breakfast varieties considered average, free for kids under the ages of 12. The only they lacking of is their lifts. The lifts always got problem. This time round stuck inside at least 5mins. Not able to go up to our floor although floor level had been pressed. Hopefully they able to rectify the lifts so that everything going smooth.

KKoh Luke ThengI had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and very professional. The check-in process was smooth, and the famous warm DoubleTree cookie made the arrival even more pleasant.
The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the city. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the well-maintained facilities. The housekeeping team did a great job keeping everything spotless.
The hotel location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby shopping malls, restaurants, and the CIQ checkpoint. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options and the food quality was excellent.
Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru to anyone visiting Johor Bahru and look forward to staying here again in the future

YYL_SnoopyIf you like a quiet, cosy place that give you a resort feel, then this hotel will be a good choice.
Initially booked this hotel is because wanting to try the Gem Spa, as previously I tried their other outlet which was very good. But sadly due to time constraints, we didn't manage to go the spa.
What I like about this hotel is, there is a hard rock within the hotel. So if you do not want to travel 15mins out, then you can actually chill and eat there.
The room is cosy but sadly that even I had booked the sea view, the view was not directly. I was allocated a room that faced the road and far right is the sea. But the plus point is I have a bathtub.
Overall the service is good, breakfast is average and the occupancy of the hotel is high but you do not feel crowded.
GGuest UserVisited this hotel years ago before Covid. Revisited after 7 years. No change to the overall look and feel. Feeling not too bad.
Location: Good near Bukit Indah Aeon. Difficult to come in given we now don’t drive Bus network no good. Not coming in anytime soon.
Service: Good. Counter staff allow early check in and given us high floor.
Cleanliness: Good, basic stuff provided. Nothing fancy.
Room: Lightings is dim, not enough lighting. TV channels cannot load due to poor wifi. YouTube Netflix cannot watch too. A bit disappointed.
Breakfast: OK comes with Nasi Lemak, Noodles / Porridge section. Pastries and bread.

DDestructAfter a year+ of hiatus from Legoland, we returned to Legoland with a 3D2N stay at Ramada..
As usual the room is spacious and clean. The breakfast spread is the same like last with lots of variety which can make you full to the brim. For the price and location near to Legoland, its worth the stay..
Will return again whenever revisit Legoland again.. Cheerios...!!!
CChloe@@The hotel is easy to find, u can easily spot it on the way to desaru. We stayed at the hotel for 1 night, didn’t include the breakfast. Overall it is a good stay, the hotel room is up to standard. Clean, bright and smell good as well. The parking charge is rm 7.60/ stay, unlimited in and out from the hotel. The hotel provides free shuttle bus service as well, it is convenient for those who don’t have own transport.
I would highly recomend this hotel for those who want to visit desaru!
BBryan FangLovely stay here. Wanted to give it a try since it is the latest hotel in JB.
Lobby on ground floor while check-in reception on the 5th floor.
A cafe, club lounge, noodle restaurant and the breakfast restaurant are located on the 5th floor too.
Gym, swimming pool, kids wet playground and function/ballrooms are on the 6th floor.
We stayed in a normal deluxe room. 39m²
Spacious with sitting area and table. Spacious toilet as well. Toilet with bidet. Shower with both rain and handheld shower head. Large dressing table equipped with a lighted face mirror, hairdryer and a variety of toilet amenities.
View from the 12th floor was great. Facing the taman pelangi. Unblocked views.
Staff were all friendly and polite. Many of them greeted us whenever we pass by.
Carpark entrance is on the left side of the hotel building. Carpark is shared with the shopping mall which is stated to open soon in April.
Do let the reception know that you are driving. State your carplate number and be entitled unlimited ins and outs during your stay
Well recommended. Paid 189sgd for a Friday night

OOlive erThe hotel is old but well taken care. The check in and check out process needs to be improved, took too long.
The breakfast charge is over priced. I paid Rm50.88 per meal for my 7 year old kid. And the breakfast varieties are very normal, very limited choices.
The environment to eat is also very messy, people queue up for 10-15mins just to get the omelettes. Probably due to long holidays, it’s hard to find a table to sit down and eat. Shortage of workers to clean the table and to clean the room too. Our room only managed to be clean at 5pm.
The room is clean, the staff are friendly to help. We enjoy the beach and the pool, the pool is very friendly for kids.
The hotel also provides many other activities.
