Although the hotel doesn't look new or modern, the interior is mostly wooden and painting. The hotel room was very clean especially the toilet. The breakfast buffet is delicious with a variety of choices.
Kek Lok Si Temple, located at the foot of Crane Hill in Penang, Malaysia, spans 12 hectares and is the largest Chinese Buddhist temple in Malaysia, as well as one of the largest and most magnificent Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia.
The temple was founded by Venerable Miao Lian, abbot of Yongquan Temple in Fuzhou Gushan, starting in 1891 and fully completed in 1904. It was named for the mountain's resemblance to a crane spreading its wings and its scenery, which evokes the Western Paradise. The architectural complex blends Chinese, Thai, and Burmese styles.
Clean room with good scent environment. Breakfast was delicious and many varities. Cardless ample parking is convenient. Location near to Queensbay mall is a plus. The food at night hawker center-PISA CORNER opposite the hotel is so delicious and cheap.
Went with my mom. Took Cyan Room with breakfast. Location wise, very good. Very near to the photo spot, the George, the Crest Collection, Blue Mansion, Chulia Street, Love Lane, the Kimberley Market. Lots of food options around.
The things I find a bit difficult are the room cleaning service timing. Because the first day, the person came even before the breakfast time (7pm - 10:30pm) is finished at 9:30am. Then we went out and came back around 2pm, then came again at 3:30pm, when they said the room cleaning starts after 4pm. So a bit difficult to predict and avoid the timing.
Gave 2 water bottles everyday. But since room service only after 4pm, I requested the water bottle first, 2 days at counter got immediately after, but one day, called from the room, didn't come at all until 5pm when we went down to the counter to ask.
Room cleanliness could be better. The bedsheets had a bit of stains but I didn't mind. Water pressure is a bit weak. The hair dryer even weaker.
Otherwise, good location to stay, in the middle of Georgetown, accessible to every location easily.
Hotel was clean and service was very good. Room was large and comfortable . Swimming pool on eleven floor is a plus on hot days. Good view of the town and the sea from our room.
Strategic location in the heart of Georgetown. Close to Komtar, First Avenue Mall and Pragin Mall. Short walk to Cecil Market and Chowrasta Market with many eateries nearby selling Penang local delicacies.
I only stayed one night. The hotel has a nice view and is on a high floor. Breakfast was quite good. The bathroom only had a shower, no handheld showerhead. Even with all the lights on, the room was still very dim, which felt a bit off. Overall, the hygiene was good. The hotel's location is excellent, and the service attitude was good.
Hotel reception to restaurant staff are polite and professional. They even what's app me after check in to check how is my stay. Breakfast variety and quality is good. Will come back in future
Just a quick question, are your towels grey or have they just become a bit discolored over time? The greyish tint gives the impression they're dirty, so that could be improved.
The soundproofing isn't great; you can hear doors closing loudly in the hallway or other rooms, and even children crying. However, this is common in most hotels, so you can overlook it if you're not too picky.
The location, service, and convenience are excellent; these are just minor imperfections.
We’re glad to be accommodated in one of the higher-floor rooms with lovely view overlooking the green western side ( Pulau Tikus and beyond ) of the Penang island. Although the corridors do show sign of age as the iconic hotel has been around for a number of years. the refurbished room was however nice, clean, quiet and spacious with high ceiling.
We were much impressed by the degree of friendliness of the staff.
The breakfast at the cafe was exclusively vegetarian with good variety and different menus on each of our three- night stay.
It was an enjoyable stay.
The breakfast is mostly malay food, choices aren’t really much but taste good. The place is strategy as a mall is beside the hotel and bus stop too. However, the ventilation is bad as we can smell the smoke coming from our next room. Overall, the staff is nice and friendly and a nice stay.

MM61499****Facilities: The hotel has a full range of facilities, though I didn't use the laundry service.
Hygiene: Decent.
Environment: Pleasant scenery, close to the sea.
Service: The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Room service was also of good quality.

GGuest UserI had booked the room at a higher rate with breakfast. However, the booking ended up without meals (breakfast). I had a complaint that we broke the wash basin. On that day we left the room at 6 am and returned at 4 pm. We had used the wash basin before we left it was in good condition. Upon receiving a call from the hotel saying that we need to pay for the broken basin, we inspected the same to find the breakage which had occured in our absence. The cleaners also left a access key in the slot, which purportedly was to activate the air con in our absense. The Hotel had changed the room for us. Nothing was informed on the claim for the breakage when we checked out today

GGuest UserStarted by being 'influenced' on Xiaohongshu, ended up booking on Ctrip – I'm really incredibly satisfied with my 3-night stay at The Eastern & Oriental Hotel.
1) The Heritage Wing Suite grants access to three restaurants: Palm Court (Heritage Wing), Planters Lounge, and Sarkies, perfectly lining up with three days of breakfast options.
2) Heritage Wing Suite guests can enjoy both the Victory Annexe and Heritage Wing infinity pools.
3) Complimentary afternoon tea is available from 12 PM to 6 PM, followed by a free cocktail hour from 6 PM to 7 PM.
4) The in-room mini-fridge offers 10 free beverages, restocked daily, plus a complimentary bottle of wine.
5) The room is cleaned twice a day, in the morning and afternoon.
My only minor complaint: Upon first entering the room, there was a faint musty smell, but it quickly disappeared.
This hotel has countless photo opportunities – if you wanted to, you could easily find at least 20 different spots. I've never seen a hotel so perfect for photography. Absolutely delighted!
AA. YusoffAngsana Teluk Bahang is always the best! My family & I have stayed here a multiples times and we’ll definitely keep coming back for future stays. All their spacious and tastefully decorated rooms are sea-facing and offer gorgeous view of the Melaka straits. This hotel is located in a less busy area hence rendering the ambience to be quiet and peaceful throughout the property. All their staff be it from the reception area to recreational/pool area to dining to housekeeping staff are warm, friendly and helpful. A special shout-out to Mr Aiman from the reception department who demonstrates exceptional hospitality and professionalism in taking good care of my family as usual. Their breakfast offers a good spread and some dishes are quite delicious as well. Thanks Angsana. Looking forward to staying at your hotel again soon!

AAzizah Amirah TouhidWe stayed 1 night at PARKROYAL Penang for our honeymoon, and the experience was truly amazing from start to finish.
The hotel upgraded us to a Family Deluxe Sea-Facing Room with garden access, which made our stay extra special and comfortable. During check-in, we were warmly welcomed with fresh flowers and welcome drinks, which immediately set a lovely tone for our honeymoon.
When we entered the room, we were so happy to see beautiful honeymoon towel arrangements with chocolates, such a thoughtful and romantic touch that made us feel celebrated as newlyweds.
One of the best parts of this hotel is that it has direct access to the beach. We had dinner by the beach at Gustoso, and the experience was amazing. The atmosphere was romantic and relaxing, and the food was really good, which made our evening even more memorable.
Breakfast was really good with plenty of choices, and the overall environment of the hotel is stunning, beautiful surroundings, peaceful vibes, and perfect for couples.
Thank you to the team at PARKROYAL Penang for making our honeymoon stay so memorable. We would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for couples celebrating special occasions ❤️
GGuest UserLarge rooms with minimalist decor means there are huge empty spaces. Ideal for families and there are quite a lot with lots of kids in pool. No coffee or tea making in rooms but you get 2 drink vouchers a day to redeem coffee or pretty cocktails. Housekeeping could be better. I was there for 5 nights and the room was not made up on 2 occasions by even 4pm. Had to call them. Cleanliness could be better. Otherwise a pleasant stay. Only less than RM10 and 10-15mins from Sho to Georgetown. Not an issue on location.
RRongzidaThe room was clean and smoke-free, and both the front desk and housekeeping staff were very polite. The breakfast was delicious; you could have as much nasi lemak as you wanted, and the stir-fried noodles with egg yolk were amazing. They also had a very standard Western breakfast, and I indulged in two big bowls of yogurt! We got an upgrade to a sea-view room, which was beautiful. It's also super convenient to get to attractions using Grab. Highly recommend!
