I researched a lot of hotels in Ipoh. Most hotels are spread out around the Ipoh “downtown”.
If you’re arriving on a bus from KL, the bus terminal Amanjaya is 9km away. 20 mins on the local bus will take you to Terminal Kidd and it’s a 15 mins walk to M Boutique. I wouldn’t suggest this option if you have a lot of suitcases as the walk is on the main roads with cars and truck zipping past.
Location is surrounded by industrial and car dealerships, but once arrived you’re surprised! They live up to their name - Boutique! They have been in that location for 13 years.
Staff are friendly and helpful! Room (single room with no windows) was clean and comfortable and provided the amenities after a long day on the bus. And the hotel - SMELLED nice. Like a high end hotel.
It was a nice treat if you’re a solo traveler looking for comfort on a budget. I tried to extend an extra night, however Trip were only showing double and twin rooms - out of my budget for a solo traveler.
Asking at reception if the single room was available, they checked and I paid directly to hotel for a 2nd night. Your loss Trip!
Hotel amenities were great. Hot shower, WiFi and air conditioning working.
It’s a 10-15 min walk to the old city. When I arrived around 4 PM, a lot of things are already closed and quiet.
Walking around in the dark back to the hotel was a little uneasy, but you can easily just arrange a car to GRAB.
Highly recommended!
This was our second stay at Sunway Lost World Hotel, and it was a much better experience than our first. We were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a Classic Triple room, and having the night park passes included for both nights was a huge plus.
However, there were a few areas that could be improved:
Amenities: The room was clean and the linens were fresh. Unfortunately, we had no hot water in our room for both nights. Despite being told it just ”takes time” to warm up, it never did. Taking a cold shower at 11:00 PM after the night park was a major downside.
Dining & Location: The hotel isn't very close to outside eateries. Room service ends around 10:00 PM, so if you return from the night park late, options are very limited. Since we visited during the Raya break, most nearby Muslim-owned shops were closed, requiring a drive to find food.
Breakfast: Day one was enjoyable, but day two was a bit chaotic due to the surge of guests. Food wasn't refilled quickly enough and finding a table was a challenge and a lot of food were not refilled as it finished.
Overall, a good stay for the park access, but the water temperature and breakfast logistics during peak periods need attention.
The hotel's strengths are the spacious rooms and the presence of a bathtub, making for a generally comfortable stay. The cleanliness was acceptable and met basic standards, but the overall environment was quite ordinary, with nothing particularly special about it.
The only minor letdown was the service details: even though we booked a triple room, they only provided two sets of toothbrushes and bath towels. We were even charged an extra RM5 for an additional bath towel, which was a bit disappointing.
Overall, if you're looking for a short stay and prioritize space and basic comfort, this hotel is a decent option, but there's room for improvement in terms of service details.
Facilities: The best hotel of this trip. The overall service experience was excellent, convenient, and efficient, with no deposit required. It's also within walking distance of key attractions like Concubine Lane, and there's a shopping mall right across the street.
The hotel has a beautiful view, convenient location, and a clean, fresh lobby. The shower pressure is strong, the room is spacious, and the service is excellent. Most importantly, it's dust-free, gets plenty of sunlight, and the mattress is soft.
Had a pleasant stay at Weil Hotel Ipoh with my family. The location was excellent and very convenient, especially for getting around and finding food nearby. The service was good overall, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The room and hotel were generally clean, although there is still a little room for improvement in cleanliness. The amenities were good and made the stay comfortable. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would consider staying here again.
I booked a single bed on March 26th but got a twin room instead 😩. I wasn't happy about it because the Indian girl at the front desk said the hotel was fully booked and I couldn't switch! But I checked online, and there were plenty of rooms available!
From March 30th to 31st, I stayed two nights. A Chinese girl named CC helped me out by arranging a king-sized bed and even gave me a high-floor room. I'm so grateful to her!
Its a newly refurbished hotel. Within city center. Walking distance to all shops and eateries. Can even walk to taiping lake gardens. Room is very spacious. Big bathroom, water pressure nice. Rooftop swumming pool. Only setback is a bit noisy during nite time as hotel is next the main road. Did not try the food.
The hotel’s location is truly unmatched! Step right outside and you’ll find yourself just nearby Ipoh Town. About 6 min walking to old town Ipoh.
The room was clean, comfortable, and ideal for a restful stay. The staff provided thoughtful and professional service throughout my stay.
Every request was handled friendly, promptly and perfectly. I booked my stay through trip.com and managed to get a great deal — excellent value for money.
overall a great stay.. good location near to eateries, there was a super long ramadan bazaar right in front of the hotel during my stay which made the stay a little more exciting..

GGuest UserHotel is located very close to Concubine Lane and other attractions. There’s a lot of food places within walking distance which makes the location very appealing. I only wish that there was better sound proofing as I could hear the phone ringing in the neighboring room and sounds from the street below could reach the room even though my room was on the 9th floor. Overall, room was clean and the staff were friendly and attentive.

LLytin2902A very relaxing seaside getaway. Warm and attentive staff during check-in, room are clean, spacious and comfortable beds. Friendly environment with large swimming pool with mini water park, good for family outing. Direct beach access but can't swim during my stay as many jellyfish spotted. Their buffet breakfast with variety choices just nice for us.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at The Banjaran Hot Springs and had a very relaxing experience. The environment is peaceful and surrounded by nature, which makes it a great place to unwind.
The villa was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the private hot spring and pool, which felt very exclusive and calming. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help.
The food was decent, and the overall atmosphere of the resort was quiet and luxurious. It’s a good place for a short getaway to relax and recharge.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

GGuest UserHonestly, I’m not the guy always writing a review, but today I have to.
This morning around 8am, the staff from here calling me that my car had puncit.
I’m feel shocked and trying to looking for mechanic to replace my tyre.
I’m feel surprise that staff from there is very friendly and helpful to do me a favor and replace it together with me.
