Very Good
TTess BBOn the day of checking-in, we found hair and stain marks (mud?) on the bed covering on both beds, however after showing the receptionist the photos, they took it seriously and reacted fast. The room got cleaned while we were out. They provided us with the complimentary breakfast for two as a courtesy compensation. With their positive attitude and efficient responses and reactions, we were happy to think that it was just an accident.
There must be some sort of car racing going on in New Plymouth on the day of our second-day stay. As we were waken up early in the morning, before 7am, by lots and lots of noises coming from the running of car engines that was so close to us. As we opened up the curtains to see what was going on, we then shockingly saw many racing cars were just lining right in front of the hotel main entrance, getting some sort of registration or something as you can see there was a table and some staff there doing something. Therefore, racing cars kept coming in more and more, and the annoying noises were constantly heard from the engine and people’s talkings over and over until around 7:30am. Honestly, we were quite unhappy about that! Visitors coming to stay at a hotel hoping to have some good rest, not expecting to be waken up early in the morning in that way. If they have arranged this type of event, they should have let all other guests know of this in advance when the booking was made to ensure that they are prepared or willing to take it. Therefore, with this thing happening that morning, I am not sure if I would want to go back to this place or not. Sorry to say that but I didn’t feel well after being waken up that early with constant noises and didn’t feel any respect in the situation.
Hopefully to see some improvements there.
MMumtaz MerdjWell ..Firstly..AS SOON AS I GOT INTO THE APARTMENT...IT WAS LIKE...””IM INSIDE AN OVEN ”..OR IN A 😓 desert !!
I went all around the apartment looking for aircon....but...
Trust me....NONE...
SO I am actually going through menopause...and I WAS VERY 😡 upset ..I knew this very moment....””I WONT SLEEP IN THIS HEAT TONIGHT ..hot flush n then the apartment was really really 🔥 HOT...THE temp yesterday was as high as 30°c...I have pictures as evidence ..on the Facebook community page about the temp last night or yesterday..
I KEPT ON Taking short cold showers in order to get ”:some'””
Sleep..
But yes ..It was a long frustrating night for me..
Secondly..at 11.00pm..to 1135pm.WE HAD NO WIFI...
I HAD TO EMAIL .TRIP.COM..
SO AFTER 25MINS ...THE WIFI WAS TURNED BACK ON...
THIRDLY...fleas in ALL BEDDINGS...
WE TOOK OFF THE BEDDNGS ..N SLEPT ON THE FLOOR..
Because on the bed..the fleas were biting n I brought sheets from home .. which I always do whenever I go to any hotel ..
N used it to spread it ontop just to lay down on it...
Well apart from all these ..everything else was fine ...
But yes ..I would NEVER BOOK ACCOMODATION without aircon ...I cannot imagine ..how is it possible 🤔 esp in an area such as taranaki ...with so much heat ...n NO AIRCON...WELL THATS ALL ..
U can see the photos...it's telling u..the temperature.
I'm.. NOT the only one ..who felt the heat ...
It's NOT JUST ABOUT MY MENOPAUSE...
THE TEMP DURING SUMMER IS UNTOLERABLE for EVERYONE!@
GGuest UserSignage made property easy to find. Property immaculately presented inside and out. Checkin very easy, well dressed host pleasure to deal with. Room was spotless and provided everything travellers would require. VERY tiny, teeny weeny thing- no instructions on how to use the TV! If you dont have Sky at home, and given 2 remotes , very confusing. I strongly believe that host would have solved this issue if I had asked and if I hadnt been so tired, I would have asked him. But this in NO way would stop me returning or recommending this motel to fellow travellers. 5 out of 5 rating.
GGuest UserWe went to New Plymouth for a weekend and stayed with Novotel New Plymouth. We had an excellent experience with them, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was modern and clean. We will definitely stay with them again.
YYuanTThe unit Is clean though a bit dated. Good bedrooms size with fairly comfortable beds. Dining area is a bit tight with a tiny round table and 2 chairs, so a family of 4 can sit at the table together. Bathroom is dated, air ventilation is quite poor, a refresh to the bathroom would be great. Carpark is an issue, limited space so we don’t drive out during evening time as we are worried not to get a park when we return.
AAnonymous UserRoom rates are reasonable. Location is quite central so everything is within walking distance . The place is well maintained with free parking on site. Room was super clean and neat. Was happy to find the kitchenette well equipped too. The site manager was also very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this place, it’s worth the penny if you are looking for a comfortable accommodation on a budget!🤗
1118931****The room was quite spacious, and the service was good. The location is also nice. Breakfast was a bit pricey at 34 per person, and the selection was quite limited.
GGuest UserGood price for 5 nights. As I mentioned at reception the room service staff replaced towels that were hung up and which I was happy to use again (contrary to what it said on the card in the bathroom and is now standard practice in most hotels). That was an extra 4 towels to the laundry over 5 days for one room - this all adds up - I am just thinking of the planet and also the autolodge laundry bills!
AAnonymous UserService: White boss is very enthusiastic
Hygiene: It is very clean
Facilities: There is a kitchen in the house for cooking, and there is a washing machine. It is more convenient to wash clothes for a long time. 4 knives
It’s more convenient to drive to the city for 5 minutes. It’s relatively quiet to live on it. It’s a bit noisy on the street.
