Lovely hotel, lobby and reception area, bright cheerful and funky, very relaxed and unobtrusive, staff very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Great choice and selection at breakfast, from fresh fruit and yogurts, cereals and seeds, preserves, toppings, breads, pastries and hot dishes and for cold meats and cheeses. Evening menu somewhat limited in variety, set menu throughout, excellent quality and portion size, nice wine selection and full bar. If I have a negative, it would be my room, small but fully functional, with mini bar (limited), ideal for a solo traveller, but cramped if sharing. The decor of the room is what let it down! It was painted a dark blue/green which gave the feel of being closed in! Housekeeping service excellent. Overall 9.5/10

This was one of the best and most unique hotels we've ever visited. The location is perfect, there are tons of shops, restaurants, and bakeries, plus several historical sites and museums that are must-see. The hotel's chocolate museum is truly an incredible experience, especially in the education of the history of chocolate and the cocoa bean. And the chocolate products themselves are fantastic. We highly recommend this hotel if you are planing to visit this town.

We were in awe of this home. So much to explore and so much history! Loved the thick granite walls and original wooden doors/shutters with hardware, antiques and displays everywhere, beautiful view, and even a pool. It is situated in a quaint little area by a church and you can easily walk down to the river. The area around Ponte da Barca is absolutely beautiful and fun to explore. The hosts are very friendly and offered a lovely breakfast.

The outdoor pool was a true oasis of tranquility, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the good weather. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, providing everything needed for a 10 stay. Additionally, we decided to have a massage at the hotel spa, and the quality of service exceeded our expectations, leaving us completely revitalized.

I booked a room expecting a beautiful old mansion, which it is, but I was assigned a ”modest” apartment, a local guesthouse, adjacent to the main building. While the condition isn't bad, it doesn't deserve a 4-star rating. Many details are missing: a mirror, curtains that allow the bedroom window to be opened, since it's on the ground floor...

We had a fantastic stay at Axis hotel! The staff was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect, with easy access to local attractions. We especially loved the breakfast and spa. Julia S USARibeira is a nice hotel - location is excellent with everything else being good to average. Management can pay more attention to details - as an example, no tissue paper in the room, only one small garbage can etc. The hotel has a swimming pool, sauna and steam room - the last two were not working when I used it earlier.

Chien-min WangWe had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. The location is perfect, right in the center of the old town, making it very convenient to visit nearby attractions and restaurants on foot. Good stay overall, nice price and amenities with the outdoor pool and indoor as well - nice indoor pool temperature for Portugal. Bad part is that the hotel is clearly understaffed and cleaning is not good. The spa bathroom was not cleaned for 3 days as per the sheet there, but it looked like 30 days
