All right, from the location of the hotel, through the exceptional breakfast quality as well as the sympathy of all the staff. However, I have to make a repair for the little space between the tables.

Bien ubicado hay sitio para aparcar gratiutamente. Habitación amplia y bien equipada. Es todo nuevo. Hay café , infusiones, agua gratis en la planta baja 24h. Microondas y mesas para poder comer lo que tu llevas. Todo un acierto. Aceptan animales llevamos un perro pequeño se paga suplemento, eso si no me dieron ni cama ni bebedero.

we had a very good experience here. we were 10 Ebikers on the way from Porto to Santiago de Compostela. This was the end of a long day. Very pretty location. I don't know why other's had bad experiences. Desk staff was good. They weren't the ritz, but they were helpful. Very helpful explanation how to store our Ebikes. Spa services that 2 of our group used and were very good. Huge pool. We did not avail ourselves of bar or restaurant; we walked into town. Room had a balcony and was very clean and well appointed.

We picked this location as we were going to a music festival nearby and taking odd days to explore the area…in between we were hoping to chill by the pool. How disappointed were. The plastic tree that greets you in the reception, is a pretty good representation of what you are going to get…Fake, this place is soulless and fake, but what makes it worse, it’s “tired fake”. From the dirty grubby carpets and chairs, black scuff marks on the once clean white walls and the cheap Italian style melamine furniture now chipped exposing its self for what it really is .. cheap coated chipboard. The first night we booked a table for dinner, on our way out we thought we’d have a drink in the bar first. The bar was empty of customers and bar staff so we made our way to the restaurant. The food was so bad it was comical. The tenderloin I ordered was so tough it should have been served with a chainsaw on the side. Breakfast the next morning was the same odd, awkward experience. But one thing we did realise they were actually other people staying at the hotel, not couples as you’d expect in a spa hotel but large families with lots of kids. We made our way out for the day. On our return we thought we we have a few hours buy the pool, .not possible, the pool was full of screaming children. So next option, sit on the balcony with a drink.. the balcony walls had black mold on them and the wooden deck was almost rotten and didn’t feel safe. Anyway below you had more screaming kids playing ball games. The 2nd morning we woke up and noticed that the 2 coffee pods that we had on the first morning hadn’t been replaced, I asked at reception on the way out and was told I need to pay an extra 1€ per pod after the first night.? Also the shower gel and shampoo were not replenished after the 3rd day I had to go to reception again and ask for them. I could go on… basically this place made us miserable, so miserable we changed our flight home at extra cost and checked out 2 days earlier than we were booked in for, losing the money for those last 2 nights. I would not recommend staying here.

Hidden in the center of Viana do Castelo is a little surprise, a 4-star hotel with an industrial appearance in an apparently small building, but divided into 2 parts and very well decorated internally. Good quality rooms and very large bathrooms at the level of a 5-star hotel. Interior decoration with characteristics of an old building, but very well renovated and restored. Large bedroom TV. There is no coffee machine in the room and the black out wooden window does not completely block out the light. The breakfast room is pleasant, but the quality of the meal, perhaps because it was still low season and the hotel's occupancy did not seem high, there was a lack of several products. Still, it's not difficult to improve. It's worth starting to offer scrambled and/or other hot eggs, plus juice offerings including fresh orange juice. The lack of private parking is also a disadvantage, but there are several options nearby, including a public underground car park right in front of the hotel, which is open 24 hours a day. Walking a little, you can park for free. The quality/price of the hotel is very adjusted to what is available, equivalent in several aspects of room quality and comfort to what the Axis Viana Hotel offers but at a lower cost.

My wife and I stayed in the Luna Arcos Hotel in Arcos de Valdevez for one night during a holiday in Portugal. The hotel is modern and quite large with free parking outside. It is a short walk across the river to the city. Our room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the river and town. Our package included a good dinner, where the service was excellent. We also enjoyed a good breakfast from the large buffet.

Surprisingly great experience. The reception staff was wonderful and went beyond the call to help us when my husband got sick. True, the hotel is not located in a beautiful area, and didn't look like much from the outside - but WOW when you entered the expansive lobby you have a beautiful view of the sea. We are seniors, driving on our own, so were looking for a hotel that didn't involve negotiating the city streets, served breakfast and had free parking on site. It was raining hard when we arrived, so were pleased to know there is a restaurant there as well. It was a 4e Uber ride into the charming town center. Viana do Castelo is lovely. The hotel specializes in large groups (there were several well behaved young futbol teams there during our stay). The breakfast buffet was plentiful and diverse. We had a sea view room, with a balcony and two lounge chairs....if only the weather had been better!

This was one of the best and most unique hotels we've ever visited. The location is perfect, there are tons of shops, restaurants, and bakeries, plus several historical sites and museums that are must-see. The hotel's chocolate museum is truly an incredible experience, especially in the education of the history of chocolate and the cocoa bean. And the chocolate products themselves are fantastic. We highly recommend this hotel if you are planing to visit this town.

We lived this spot..easy to walk the historic town, Marina and walk to barber, great restaurants, bank. Service exemplary, stone building w such wonderful character and charm plus all the modern amenities. A bathtub ! Which I always enjoy, a pool after a day of walking-yes, train station next door..so helpful, bar and restaurant w a micro brew in building, need a blow out ? See laura next door..that was great.. the family that owns this hotel also has a restaurant in town which of Course we went to and loved. 5 stars all Spring. Would love to come back to this jewel of A town and this lovely hotel. Thank you

We stayed here over the weekend of L’Etape Portugal 2023 as we were riding in the event. It was the perfect base and we loved everything about the hotel. All of the staff made us feel so welcome and were so friendly. Particular mention must go to the Bike Center team, who accommodated all of our requirements for the race with the bike rentals, set-up and details. Nothing was a problem! This a wonderful place to stay to enjoy the beach, sports, weather and also to easily explore Viana do Castelo. We will be back!

We stayed in room 206 with simply stunning views of the Basilica de Santa Luzia, Viana do Castelo, and the ocean right from our balcony! It met, or possibly exceeded, the view from our hotel in Positano, Italy (which was gorgeous)! The hotel itself was charming and had a great outdoor patio where we relaxed and enjoyed a glass of wine before dinner. The service both at the front desk and in the dining room was very professional. Our dinner was good (not outstanding) and breakfast was very good including the coffee. If you wish to tour the town we recommend you consider taking the funicular near the Basilica which goes down the mountain into town. The Pousada kindly provided a map and good directions. The funicular was great and we enjoyed visiting the town too. Do note the funicular hours of operation.

I think we had no luck with the date ... the hotel had been closed in the low season ... Besides the lack of internet and cable TV on that day (in the whole village, outside the hotel, it is said) the air conditioning was badly functioning and the TV was not functioning. The staff were sympathetic and available, but the hotel's conditions could be better.
