Grand Hotel Sole

The hotel is very well located and close to everything. The staff were nice and friendly. The downsides were that the room was not cleaned over the 2 days that we were there, and the restaurant inside the hotel was incredibly noisy late at night, which made sleeping quite difficult.
Hotel Capital with Private Wellness

Hotel Capital directly in the center of Nitra town, 3 min walking. Beautiful stylish place, nice rooms with good double bed, air-conditioner , huge bathroom. Delicious, fresh breakfast in romantic hall. Wellness just enough to relax and the staff is helpful. Parking secured, roof open terasse bar . I recommend the place for family, or couple, anybody will definitely love it.
Boutique Hotel11 Rooftop Spa

Friendly service, good cocktails and great rooms. I know where I am going to now in Nitra. It is not far from here to the city center. The route to the main square can be easily walked. The Boutique Hotel itself is to say that the parking facilities are rather difficult to book. - There are always those. There can't be any stay right in front of the hotel.

Close to Nitrazastavka station There is a supermarket within walking distance, so you will have no trouble eating It’s a bit far from the city center, but because there are many buses, it’s convenient to travel There is a sign in a corner of the garage, but it may be difficult to find at night Breakfast is delicious
Chateau Appony

Where do I begin? My same sex partner had tried to book a weekend stay but it was busy with a wedding. So we arrived on the 31st July. I have to praise the receptionist. She was so accommodating, allowed us to leave wellness gear behind the counter and even praised my Slovak. Lunch was wonderful: such a beautiful setting and the attention the main waiter made was excellent. The pea soup was great. Then there was the library tour for which you pay extra: it was a bit like a Harry Potter experience. I loved the enthusiasm of the guide. My partner is Slovakian and he did interpret important points but I think the chateau does need to make its English paper guides more extensive. However, I was very impressed how at the end of the tour the guide took the time to give a resume in English and I appreciate his effort. Then we went to the wellness centre. I loved the receptionist, a lady with dark hair in her fifties. She was so welcoming. The swimming pool is alright and the different saunas good. My only suggestion would be to be able to have a glass of bubbly delivered from the restaurant to the terrace. Criticism: the men’s changing room was ridiculously hot. It needs some fresh air. Would I go back? Definitely. A great afternoon finished by a beer on the terrace. Dakujem.

Hotel Château Bela

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days, booking a ”Castle holiday” offer on their website. First impression upon arrival was great - the whole area and park surrounding the Castle was amazing, as were the interior spaces. After entering the Castle itself though, we were quite surprised by a small, unrepresentative reception hidden behind the corner. The room was nice at first sight, although we noticed immediately that it was truly hot in there (30 degrees Celsius) and there was no AC (in a Deluxe room!!!). After the first night, we requested switching rooms for another one with an AC - we were lucky, as they had one available. With the ”Castle holiday” offer came buffet breakfast and 3-course dinner/buffet dinner. Breakfast was nice with a wide selection. Dinner however was a bit disappointing - we did expect more from a Chateau hotel, which offers also Gourmet packages and tastings. The food felt a bit dull and the portions were ridiculously big, given there were three courses served in a row. I have to highlight the desserts though - those were truly AMAZING every evening. The pool area was nice looking too, although did provide only roughly 20 sunbeds (the capacity of the hotel is 44 rooms!!!). On top of that, many families with small children made it impossible to relax in the pool area as advertised by the hotel - there was NOTHING RELAXING about that. One thing I have to mention, as we did travel here during the Covid-19 pandemic times: everywhere in the hotel, there were signs requesting people to wear a face covering when inside, but we were the only ones (plus the stuff) wearing it. I didn't see once that someone from stuff would remind the guests of this, which is a huge failure on their side. Another thing bothering us during the whole stay was smoking allowed on the terraces during dinner, everywhere in the park and around the doors, including pool area. This forced us to stay inside for each dinner, as there were always people smoking on the terrace. Recommendation for the hotel: - separating areas for families with children, so that people seeking relaxation and quiet can truly get it - being more considerate to non-smoking population - being more conscious about the rules set during these days
