Circle Hotel Fairfield

The Circle Hotel in Fairfield (named for the Fairfield Traffic Circle by which the hotel sits) is a recently refurbished locally operated property. The rooms are clean and the furniture is comfortable. Read other reviews here for great or advice on room locations. An added bonus is the Circle Diner next door, within walking easy distance and a local favorite. A detraction for me was the new TV system — I just didn’t get it. I live locally and had to stay here two nights while my apartment under repair. I’d gladly recommend Circle Hotel to anyone. Very convenient location to shopping, too!

+Lobby staff & management were very friendly, efficient, and negotiable with our extended stay. Always quick to address any concerns or questions. +Cleaning staff came daily unless asked otherwise, keep rooms very clean and tidy. +Close to downtown area - around five minutes driving, around 15 minutes walking - with lots of parking space available. +Free breakfast in the morning! +Good, strong WiFi connection available - very briefly lost Internet once in two weeks. +Dog-friendly with reasonable rates! Hotel, as a whole, seemed dated as others have said. My partner and I made many a joke to it looking like The Shining. We didn't mind, but something to note. The free breakfast had a limited selection. Don't expect full buffets, just something to get you through the morning 'til lunch. We didn't get the chance to use the facilities (laundry, gym), but they were offered. -The beds were hard and were uncomfortable to us. We needed to purchase a foam mattress to make sleep more bearable, as our hips and backs started to hurt after the first two nights. -The elevators broke down more than a few times during our stay. Thankfully they worked on check-out day, otherwise we would have been in trouble! OVERALL: For the price and location, we were very happy with our stay! Love the staff, attentiveness and consistency. Just wished they had better beds and less temperamental elevators. Even with the dated appearance, if you need a place to stay, this place does the job for a price that won't burn your wallet. We recommend!

A retro-inspired hotel that looks old and has a feeling of atmosphere. The front desk at check-in was very humorous, and let me take a photo of him. Simple American breakfast, free parking, self-service laundry, cheap, passing by for one night, still very satisfied!

We stayed this past weekend for one night (thankfully) and while entering the hotel front doors we were suddenly greeted by a huge construction site upon arrival. Now I understand properties update but this was over the top and the property should shut down to fully complete the renovations rather than continue to book without disclosing the information during the reservation process. This is not a good business practice and fair to consumers. First, the major renovations should be noted prior to booking as it is throughout the whole hotel and is causing major hazards and multiple inconveniences throughout the stay including plastic sheets hanging throughout the halls causing confusion as to where to go and trouble navigating with children and luggage, wet paint in many areas, carpeting taped down or ripped up and rolled in the middle of the hallway, high scaffolds blocking entrances, loud construction tools being used, dust flying throughout the hotel, no front check in area, no convenience shop to purchase drinks etc. Since we had already paid and it was after 4:00 we had no other option but to stay. We hoped our rooms would be a different story than what we encountered in the lobby and halls. When we entered the two rooms we booked we noticed they were outdated, however knowing now they were being renovated we gave them the benefit of the doubt. However while we were in the rooms we noticed many things completely unacceptable, such as lights not working (including the lights right next to the door when you entered), black mold in the high corners of the bathroom, food left from previous guests under the ottoman (which means they did not move them while cleaning), no soap left in the bathroom soap dispenser, broken shower doors and shower head, hair in corners of the bathroom and shower area, paint peeling and chipped off of the wall and the AC unit not cooling with a mildew smell. We also heard people yelling out by the pool area overnight and noticed one person sleeping out in the chairs. Needless to say we barley slept and left as early as possible the next day. While we were leaving the front desk staff or person sitting down looking at a phone near what would be the area of a front desk barley even looked up to acknowledge us all packed up early and checking out. Never once did they apologize for any issues that were clearly going on at their hotel. Be aware of the positive reviews on their main site and other sites and if you do need to book a room, clearly ask about their renovation status.

No. Unless you’re a one night stayer, this hotel will not work well for road warriors. No, microwaves in rooms. Not even an option to get one from the lobby. I’m done paying $50 for a microwave for my stays which I have to buy without reimbursement. No status recognition. What’s the point of chain loyalty if the hotel won’t recognize your loyalty. I don’t have a problem with Marriott but since Covid happen Hilton doesn’t seem to care much about my loyalty, it’s common now. Road warriors live in hotels. We want to come back to the room and not be bothered after working some 14-16 hour days sometimes for two weeks straight with no days off. I’m done giving hotels the benefit of a doubt when staying. Living on the road for 10 years I recognize better hotels compared to poor ones. Listen I understand people on vacation piss everyone off and are constantly unprepared for everything, always getting in the way and lost. Constantly are rude to the front desk and trash rooms. Road warriors aren’t typical like this from my experience with my multiple crew members. All I ask for a hotel is to have accommodations for road warriors to go about our business and limit unprepared vacationer interactions. Having to make multiple trips to the lobby to use a common microwave is frustrating.

Convenient to the airport for an overnight stay from a late arriving international flight. Free LAZ Fly shuttle that runs 24 hrs. Easy check in. Great front desk staff. Comfortable room with updated furnishings. Great mattress. Decent hot breakfast although wish they stayed open later than 9am.
