La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fargo-Medical Center

This was a trip for a family funeral. It served our needs well. I had stayed there 4 years ago. It doesn’t seem like it has been kept up very well - definitely sighs of aging. There was an advertised “dinner” in the lobby in the early evening; it was chicken nuggets, iceberg lettuce with dressing, and potato chips. I think a “happy hour” with things like chips/salsa, cheese/crackers, veggies/dip might be more appealing. The breakfast was better than expected - the best we’ve seen since our limited travels the past pandemic years. Wasn’t fancy, but it was ok. Front desk staff was very helpful. A serviceable hotel, at a reasonable cost.

Excellent hotel with an excellent location near the Shopping Center, restaurants, and Scheels. The fantastic pool area is family-friendly, rooms are extremely clean & comfortable. Lovely lounge (the lounge had a couple hours of live music, which was an unexpected surprise.) Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff. The housekeeping staff was pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality.

Did a quick overnight trip to Minot. We picked this hotel because of the price and location. We arrived early (10am) and decided to see about check-in. 4pm was check-in and the lady said to come back earlier and they might have our rooms ready. We came back around 12:30 and were able to check-in which was nice. We booked using booking.com. At first there was a mix up on how many rooms I needed, but the lady was very helpful and figured it out for me before check-in. Room was very spacious. We had a king bed, full sized fridge, 2 sinks, large Tv with Netflix available to use for free. The hotel is older, but for the price ($66 USD/$92 CAD) it was fine. Came back round 9:30 and sat in the hot tub. We were in there past closing and the lady just asked if we could keep the volume down they had no issues with us being in there. I would stay here again, just for location and price. It is not a 4 or 5 * but the price reflects that IMO.

When researching for a weekend trip to meet family, we selected this hotel primary for its pool/slide options, as well as the availability of the breakfast area (and rentable meeting rooms) for a gathering. The hotel shows its age a little, but overall we were happy with the stay. Our room was a two Queen, with a sofa (that folds out but we did not use). Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. One family member had a King room, and I noticed their tub had waterjets, but they did not test it out. There is breakfast offered each morning, but I did not eat any during the visit. I instead went to a great pastry shop in downtown Bismarck called Brick Oven Bakery. I did try the coffee during the first morning, but it appeared to be made from a liquid concentrate, which wasn't very appealing. The pool area is two adjacent rooms, each with a slide. One room has a nice-sized curved slide, as well as a wading pool. The other room has a very tall and long tube slide that actually goes out of the building and then back in; and also a splash pad & small slide for little kids. The splash pad did not seem to be shooting out much water. A nice perk was that the sister hotel along the parking lot had a lounge. They offered us two drink tickets at check-in, so it was a good excuse to check out the lounge. The lounge reminded me of a small-town bar, with basic tables & chairs, too-well lit, a bunch of TVs and video gambling.
Motel 6-Fargo, ND - South

DO NOT BOOK HERE! IT IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! The mattresses were blood stained and full of bugs. There was no shower curtain, clock, phone, coffee maker, fridge or microwave (even though we paid for a ”deluxe room”. The entire hotel stunk like stale smoke. There were not enough blankets or pillows. When we asked for more, we were told no.

The service was super friendly - we had our two small children at the free breakfast (amazing btw) and they gave us a bag of books to look through - each child got to take one home! Pool & hot tub were clean and we had it all to ourselves. Big suite with two bedrooms, fold out couch for the kids and everyone had their own tv. Will definitely visit again.

Host friendly and helpful. Mattresses uncomfortable and blankets thin. Rooms seemed clean, but one smelled of fish. Basic breakfast. Dated facilities and welcome desk cluttered. Convenient for easy on/off I-94 access. Great price, but I suppose you get what you pay for. Didn't expect much, and expectations met.

The management at this hotel went above and beyond what was required of them. I left my special pillow (medical) when we left and couldn’t find another to replace it. I called them and not only had they kept it for me they mailed it back along with a tee my husband had left. We will definitely stay there again, the location is perfect, just off the interstate, the room was clean, the breakfast was good and the price was good.
