Shonai Hotel Suiden Terrasse

My biggest mistake of this trip to Yamagata is to book this hotel. It's a good hotel but it's in the middle of nowhere. You will want to stay around the city of Yamagata province which is also called Yamagata city just so you can get to famous tourist spots. However this is 4 hours away from all of these. I had to book another hotel so I can stay 1 day in the city when I wanted to visit these places and the traveling time just completely made me exhausted. It took like 1 day to go to a place and 1 day to go back. It was so terrible, I was crying. This place is closed to Shonai airport not Yamagata airport so I also had to book another flight from Shonai. I wasted so much money for transportation. It was such a terrible experience. However the hotel is incredibly beautiful with smart design in everything. I loved the onsen very much. If it was just a vacation/restcation for relaxing purpose or isolate yourself from the human word, it's the best choice for you. Since its in the middle of the endless rice field, there is nothing to eat except for paying very high price to eat at the hotel's restaurant. And the food was just okay. The beauty of this hotel was like a trap. Its like I was blind from its beauty and couldn't see all other disavantages.

Conveniently attached to Yamagata JR Station, for easy access to Tokyo Shinkansen, as well as to daytrips to Ginzan Onsen and Zao Onsen Ski Resort. Our room was in the newer South Annex, comfortable and spacious. Hotel granted our room request and were attentive to our stated diet requirements. We chose Japanese breakfast set on both days and they were delicious, of excellent quality and good portions. We used one of the coin laundry machines on 2F, but wished there were more machines offered on different floors.

There is no doubt that it is a first-class inn! It is an inn with great employee education. It's been a while since I've been in the room recently, but it was an inn that brought my luggage to my room. The inside of the inn is large and the garden is magnificent and too luxurious! It was like a maze. Supper is easy because you can have it in a private room. The explanation of the food was young, but it is very solid. There were many vegetables such as wild plants for breakfast, and there were many maba tofu and kotteri Chinese dishes, so I thought it was unusual, and the maba tofu I took was amazing. Of course, all the dishes are delicious, but the rice is what impresses me. Yamagata rice is really delicious. It was a long and elongated variety and I liked it very much. You may not be able to expect the view from the room because the room you stayed in was on the 3 floor. I really don't say anything, but if I say one thing, I was worried that when I left the room, I always smelled the food from the kitchen.
Super Hotel Yamagata Tsuruoka

The room isn't gorgeous, but it's compact but comfortable with a large desk and sofa. There is also a refrigerator, so you can drink the juice you bought cold. The wall-mounted TV is large, and if the weather is fine, you can always gaze out at Mt. Chokai from the window. The large public bath with alkaline spring quality is comfortable. I was able to check in quickly and relax. The welcome drink had a rich repertoire of local sake, and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks, so I had a good time every night. The dinner bento plan is a special mention, and every side dish at the city bento shop makunouchi is delicious. It may be the first time that I was satisfied with the meal at the makunouchi bento. Good breakfast. Tsuyahime was delicious, and I was satisfied with the side dishes made with local ingredients. Above all, it is the staff. Front desk staff, breakfast venue staff, natural smiles and voices. Regarding the corona countermeasures, I was very impressed with the fact that they were resolutely enlightened so that they could hear properly about wearing masks and gloves. The area around the hotel is quiet, but there is a convenience store next door, and there is a shopping center and a downtown area around the station within 10 minutes, so it was nice to take a short walk. Since I stayed for several nights, I stayed at the hotel during the day, but I was able to spend a very comfortable holiday because I was able to visit delicious foods in the city instead of visiting unreasonable sightseeing spots.

Very impressed from the start of understanding the service until walking out, staff can speak Thai and have Thai staff as well. Japanese-style rooms in the evening, go to use the private Onsen first on the deck to watch the stars with the cold weather, soaking in hot water comfortably. Excellent in the morning, gradually going to use Onsen Public is good in another way, dinner and breakfast are very good in both meals, the staff are also very good service in every place, very recommended for all Thai friends. You can walk 15 minutes from the train station, nearby to walk around the castle as well.

We stay at this hotel for visiting Ginsan Onsen. There is complimentary shuttle service at the train station ( delicious meal at the station ) . The staff are courteous and helpful. The room is large and Japanese style and the onsen is beautiful . There is lots of good restaurant around and convenience store too. Local snack and drink will be welcoming you and the morning breakfast is a must. Food are so authentic and delicious. I ate the most delicious chicken meat there. The view from the room will take your breath away !! The toilet in the reception is the best toilet I have been to in Japan !! ( sorry for photo as I forgot /to take ). Thanks for reading my review. It is convenient to go to dinner and walk in the middle of downtown Yamagata city. I climbed Zao and tsukiyama in the inn and extended my leg to dewa Sanzan Jinja shrine in Mt. haguro. I enjoyed the day trip hot spring on the way back to the hotel every time I went out. Of course, there was a large bath (about men 5 people, women 3~4 people) on the 1 floor of the hotel, and the congestion situation of the bath was also taught at the front desk, and the bath was enjoyed. It was a pity that the high school student in Tohoku stayed during the hotel stay, and the potato boiling pot of the Japanese food restaurant which was looking forward to dinner was not eaten. The twin room was easy to use and 3 I slept well for a night. It is unavoidable that the procession can be made before the reception at check-in for the correspondence of the corona pass. 1 There is a convenience store on the floor, you can walk to bunshokan, and there are many stalls and restaurants within walking distance. The contract parking lot is also a short walk. It is an inn that I was able to recognize that it can be used unexpectedly from a business hotel to climb.
Comfort Hotel Tendo

Great and convenient location from the train station and airport. For exploring Tendo and Ginzan onsen, front desk is helpful in guiding us for our sightseeing to Yamadera. Peaceful place, with a nice breakfast with local fruit juice and delicious fruits. Very appreciated. Can improve slightly for the pillow and bed and it would be amazing.

I stayed in a room with foot bath and hot springs. I was able to disinfect my fingers at the entrance and disinfect the room at the front desk. In addition, it was the impression that Nakai would take care of the hot spring, such as the guide of the room at the front desk to prevent infection, and it was the impression that the countermeasure was firm. I was a little lost in a quite large building. I saw the mountain of Zao and had a good view from foot bath and hot springs. It was hot water. The female amenities had local cosmetics trials. I don't know because I don't use a large bath. I think the dishes were the amount of couples who were full in the morning and evening. Dinner was a plan to choose steak meat and rice. I think there is another plan. I was very good value for money because of go to travel. You may not stay in a room with a hot spring many times. . . But it was a hot spring that I wanted to stay again. It's a hard time, but I want you to work hard. Thank you.
