5-Star Hotels in Gansu, China

Our room was upgraded to an executive room, and the view was fantastic! Huge thanks to the staff for their thoughtful service. Breakfast was decent; as vegetarians, we mostly stuck to the bread, and the European pastries and croissants were perfectly baked. The coffee was good too, and the restaurant was clean, making for an acceptable dining experience. The gym was well-equipped, with a great selection of weight training machines. The housekeeping staff was very diligent; our room was always spotless when we returned from breakfast. While the room facilities were a bit dated and the shower door was quite noisy when opening and closing, the overall stay was still comfortable. The only downsides were that we couldn't extend our stay for more nights and there was no self-service laundry room. The laundry service provided by Hyatt had inconvenient hours. This might be fine for a short stay, but it would be quite inconvenient for stays longer than two weeks. Overall, the Hyatt experience was excellent and well worth a stay when visiting Lanzhou, especially for the stunning night views of the Yellow River.

Danxia is absolutely stunning! I'd seen it beforehand and only found the hotel after dark, without any prior travel information. I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is new, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. They even gave me a breakfast sample, saying they'd hired a chef from the Hyatt Regency Lanzhou. The Hyatt itself doesn't really matter to me; you can't go wrong with bread and coffee. The most important thing was the beef noodles and fermented glutinous rice wine! They were both delicious, and the chef even made me a special chive noodle dish, which I loved! The breakfast was especially amazing, with local cantaloupe 🍈. I couldn't resist devouring two large plates! Cantaloupe 🍈 is truly delicious! The flesh is so soft and tender you can chew it without even using your teeth! It was so delicious that it brought tears to my eyes! The much-vaunted Shizuoka honeydew melon pales in comparison! The room had a humidifier! Southern-friendly! The decor was cozy. While the mattress wasn't particularly good, the atmosphere and sense of security were incredibly satisfying. It was the only night in several days I slept so soundly! This hotel clearly places great emphasis on quality and service, and the staff are dedicated to improving the guest experience. The stay experience is really no worse than JW hotels. You can feel their attentiveness. They even gave every guest a mooncake for breakfast 🥮... This has become my favorite hotel on my trip to Hexi! I hope it's not just because it's newly opened, but I hope the hotel can maintain this level. I'll definitely choose this hotel when I visit Zhangye in the future!

This hotel looked incredible! From top to bottom, it was clear that the designers took style seriously. The rooms gave off a sense of luxury that few other hotels in this process range have. The carpets, floors, doors, cabinets, beds etc. emitted a sense of tranquility, which made me feel very comfortable. Also, after travelling around China for nearly a month, I can say that this was by far the best breakfast I've had at roughly a dozen hotels. The staff were professional, everything was very clean, and the location could not have been better. My only issues: there was no air conditioning, and my room was very hot at night. Additionally, when the rooms next to you are watching television, you can hear everything in your room.

Location is good, staff friendly and able to speak English, very helpful and nice. The room was decently decorated however there were a few inconveniences you would not expect from Hilton. Curtains were missing, noticed too late, in the morning the light was so bright through the sheer, my sleep was disturbed. The room was extremely hot (27 degrees celsius) while the ac was working it still felt too hot. The mattresses felt somewhat different from other Hilton hotels. I struggled falling asleep and kept waking up throughout the night. The internet speed is locked behind a Hilton membership (2025, having wifi locked behind membership is insane) The bathtub didn’t have any toiletries nearby, if you want to take a bath and wash yourself you will have to get out of the bathtub and reach for the shower gel or whatever else you need or bring your toiletries with you and put them next to the bathtub before getting in. The view was nice however the sofa in front of the big windows with the city view had stains and dark spots on it making it a bit uncomfortable to sit on it for too long.

Real stay experience: Traveling to Dunhuang during the off-season is absolutely amazing! 👍🏻 The unique snow scenery was beautiful, but what was even more unforgettable was the hotel's front desk manager, Anna. From the moment I placed my order, I received a call from her reminding me of essential travel items, daily weather updates, and travel precautions. She patiently and meticulously planned our itinerary, saving us a lot of trouble. She also recommended some affordable and delicious local snacks. Anna was always patient and responsive throughout. The room arrangements were also excellent. I'm a light sleeper, and she specially arranged a very quiet room for me. The hotel bedding truly lived up to its name; it made my tired body feel incredibly relaxed after a long day. It was the most comfortable sleep I'd had on my entire trip. Of all the hotels I stayed at during this trip, the Four Points by Sheraton Dunhuang was the most heartwarming. [heart emoji] I truly experienced the comfort and relaxation of being at home. 😌 Her prompt and responsive service was truly commendable. Thumbs up for this professional service! [strong emoji]

Facilities: Fully intelligent guest room control, Bose speakers, and a projector-compatible TV. Cleanliness: The room was very clean, and the floor attendant was very helpful. Service: Check-in and check-out were convenient, with clear explanations. Location: Metro Line 1 is right outside the hotel, making it convenient to get around. Many well-known shops, including Gamazi, Deyuan, Songshujia, Hujia Baozi, and Guoyi, are all within a 1-kilometer radius.

The room is spacious, comfortable and stylish, the breakfast has local characteristics, and parking is convenient. It is the best hotel in Jiuquan and the stay is very comfortable!

We stayed at the hotel in late 2025.3 Everything exceeded our expectations. When I book, it seems the location outside the city is a drawback of this hotel, which is compensated by a free pickup. But for a sightseeing trip in ZhangYe and with services the hotel has to offer, the location doesn't matter at all. Not to mention that the hotel's car+driver offer is quite competitive compared to what we have pre-booked. ###Room###: The room was spacious with comfortable beds and lots of amenities. WiFi speed is decent. There is also a public washing & drying machine, where the maid offered to wash our clothes. ###Restaurant###: The breakfast was plenty. The dinner offer a wide variety of local and standard dishes at an accpetable price. We got a free decent late night snack/dessert (with milk for children) delivered to the room at night. ###Staff###: The staff was very attentive. It started with the driver waiting at the train staion exit. Then we were greeted at the hotel by a staff with a good command of English. The staff has good knowledge of sightseeing spots in ZY. At dinner, the staffs made their best to help us understand the menu, patiently expained the food choices, as well as help estimate how much food we should order. (We are traveling with 2 children.) When we arrive back at the hotel in the evening, they enthusiasticly offered to help carry our stuffs. Tips are not expected nor accepted. If I have to comment, a moisturizing lotion and extra blankets in the room would help when the weather is cold. This hotel will definitely be my first choice if we ever come to Zhangye again.

The hotel is great is great, staff is very friendly and kind they always want to help and make you comfortable, simply the Chinese culture is awesomely presented in its perfect image here Close to the heart of the city , during weekend the city centre is your place to go

The hotel covers a large area and has a beautiful waterscape and garden environment. The magnolia flowers bloom especially beautifully during the Qingming Festival! The hotel lobby and guest rooms are not in the same building. The guest rooms are composed of multiple 3-story independent buildings. There are many parking spaces and convenient parking. The restaurant is in the lobby, with a good environment and convenient dining. There is a separate water bath, and guests staying there have discounts on tickets. The overall environment, sanitation, safety and service of the hotel are very good, and it is very worth staying.
