My stay at Pan Pacific Suzhou was absolutely fantastic! The hotel beautifully recreates the aesthetics of the ancient Wu Kingdom from the Spring and Autumn period, with its pavilions, terraces, and waterside promenades showcasing classic Suzhou elegance. Every step offers a picturesque view. As a project under Singapore’s GIC and Temasek, its unique foresight in choosing a prime location in the heart of the ancient city back in 1995 is remarkable. It also boasts a rich history, having hosted numerous dignitaries. Guests can enjoy free access to Panmen Gate by using their room key, and it's incredibly convenient to visit core attractions like Canglang Pavilion, Lingering Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Xiyuan Temple. Plus, the hotel's own restaurants, like Ruigarden Noodle House, are definitely worth trying – it truly enhances the overall experience!

Immersive, Zen-inspired experience:
“Hidden away in this bustling city is a tranquil sanctuary. The moment I slid open the wooden door, it felt as if I had been transported to an ancient machiya in Kyoto. The room was filled with a subtle scent of tatami, and the natural wood furniture with minimalist lines exuded a 'wabi-sabi' aesthetic throughout. My favorite time was in the evening, sitting at the low table by the window, brewing a pot of tea, and gazing at the karesansui garden outside. All the inner turmoil gradually faded away. There was no excessive disturbance here, just the perfect amount of space and serenity—a truly healing journey that allowed my mind and body to return to nature.”

I stayed at the Yingbinguan for five days and four nights, in rooms 11 and 1. On the first day, I booked a room in Building 3 to try it out. After checking in, I was given a terrible room on the 4th floor with no view whatsoever, just a wall opposite. So, I went downstairs to request a room change and asked if an upgrade was possible. A rather plump young man at the Building 3 front desk reluctantly told me that upgrades weren't possible, and that others paid for upgrades (with a rather sarcastic tone). After I insisted, he made me wait for 40 minutes, creating various obstacles and excuses to deny an upgrade, like saying the room wasn't cleaned or only offering a 2nd-floor room in Building 3. Finally, he unhappily upgraded me to Building 11. My experience checking into Building 11 was pretty good, but upon checkout, the bellboy was quite slow; he didn't proactively open the door. After waiting for 5 seconds, he reluctantly came over, but since I was traveling alone and sitting in the back, he opened the passenger side door instead, which left me feeling both amused and speechless 😑. For the following days, I booked a room on the 1st floor of Building 1. The view was even better, with lush greenery outside the window. The two young women at the front desk of Building 1 were particularly attentive and meticulous with their service. Overall, the environment at Yingbinguan is excellent. I'll definitely come back to stay in Buildings 1, 2, 8, or 9 if I have the chance.

🌸 A sunny March is the perfect time for flower viewing. Carrying a slight regret from our last trip and a lingering fondness for Nanxiang, we embarked on this Nanjing journey, with the Nanjing Shangri-La, of course, as our first stop.
1. **Location**: The hotel's location is superb, right next to Xinmofan Road Metro Station, making it incredibly convenient to reach all major attractions. It's also very close to Xuanwu Lake, just a few minutes' walk away. Strolling along the lake, with willows swaying and flowers vying for attention – the dazzling tulips, the blooming crabapples (some green, some red), and especially that expansive cherry blossom grove. From a distance, it looked like a pink mist. A gentle spring breeze would bring a shower of cherry blossoms, petals fluttering down and scattering, softly carpeting the earth in pink. The peach blossoms were not to be outdone, white, pink, and crimson, blooming profusely on the branches, attracting countless busy little bees and adding vibrant color to the lakeside spring.
2. **Room**: We stayed in a lake-view suite again this time, and I'm grateful to the Horizon Club staff for arranging a high-floor room. The room was clean, tidy, spacious, and bright, with a large living room and bedroom. The floor-to-ceiling window offered a side view of Xuanwu Lake, which was a slight pity. There was no separate walk-in closet, the luggage rack was rather high and narrow, and the bathroom toilet wasn't smart and wasn't separated, all indicating the hotel's age. However, the room service was commendable. They were always responsive, not only providing a luggage rack and a drying pole but also bringing a pot of orchids, which added color to the room. When we mentioned that the welcome dessert wasn't very good, they immediately replaced it with cherry blossom cupcakes and chocolates the next day, which was very thoughtful.
3. **Dining**: The hotel's 'Jiangnan Wok' restaurant specializes in Huaiyang cuisine and is a Black Pearl two-diamond establishment. The restaurant has an elegant ambiance, and the waitstaff are all polite. The 'Clear Broth Lion's Head' was fragrant, soft, and melted in the mouth, while the 'Huaiyang Soft Wok Eel' was silky smooth and tender, our absolute favorite. The unexpected surprise was the 'Stir-fried Beef with Brisket Fat' – the beef was tender and aromatic, with excellent wok hei. Being spice lovers, we also ordered the 'Jiangnan Wok Maoxuewang,' which was also excellent. The large chunks of eel and generous shrimp balls showed no skimping on ingredients, and the flavor definitely rivaled external Sichuan and Hunan restaurants. Personally, I found the pan-fried buns just okay. The 'Xiao Xian Rou' crispy pastry reminded me of Shanghai's fresh pork mooncakes, but felt like it lacked a bit of juice.
Breakfast at the ground-floor buffet used to impress me, but this time, the taste felt a bit off compared to before. The 'Jiangnan Wok' breakfast selection was rich, the duck blood vermicelli soup was very fresh and delicious, and the handmade soup dumplings were also good. The beef potstickers had a fragrant filling, but the crust wasn't crispy enough. The bread and pastry section had a variety of choices, but the taste felt average, especially my favorite caramel egg tart, whose crust was soft, almost as if it had been microwaved.
The Horizon Club breakfast is semi-buffet style, with a la carte options available. The pan-fried salmon was exquisite and delicious, and the duck blood vermicelli soup was generously portioned and very fresh. The restaurant's bread station even had a small toaster, allowing guests to heat their own bread, which was a thoughtful touch. However, I felt the standard had declined compared to before; the Eggs Benedict were solid, the beef in the Nanjing beef noodles was tough, and the steamed buns in the steamer were sometimes not hot, affecting the taste. Although the happy hour offerings were quite rich, the taste was average. Even more unbelievable, we found plastic wrap in the food – this shouldn't happen at a Shangri-La brand hotel. Nevertheless, the service attitude of the staff, whether in the ground-floor restaurant or the Horizon Club, was still very attentive and enthusiastic.
I also encountered an unprecedented issue at the gym. For two consecutive days, I was stopped at the entrance because the staff said my room card and room number didn't match. Later, the duty manager likely issued a new room card, but it canceled my previously noted late check-out, causing me to be unable to enter on check-out day, which was quite embarrassing. Although the gym operates 24/7 with room card access, the restroom is shared with the pool, and it's unavailable after staff leave at 11 PM, which is inconvenient for guests who come to work out late.
In summary, this stay brought me both joy and sorrow. I hope the hotel can strengthen its training and management to reach new heights and become a landmark of Nanjing, a place one thinks of when Nanjing is mentioned!

This time, my family and I stayed at the Jinling Hotel, and it happened to be my birthday. I was truly touched by the thoughtful service of the fairy housekeeper – she deserves a massive shout-out! The housekeeper proactively reached out beforehand to confirm the delivery time for my birthday cake, arranging everything perfectly. The next day, we spontaneously decided to have the cake delivered earlier. After contacting her, she immediately helped coordinate the change without hesitation, responding super quickly! As a renowned five-star hotel, Jinling Hotel's service certainly lives up to its reputation. The housekeeper was enthusiastic, attentive, gentle, and patient throughout our stay. Every detail showed how much effort she put in. This stay wasn't just about accommodation; it was a birthday experience filled with surprises and warmth.

The hotel is super convenient to get to – just turn right after exiting Sanyang Plaza Station (Subway Line 1, Exit 11A) and it’s a short walk away.
If you're staying for a longer period, I recommend the executive suite. It's very spacious and comes with a fully equipped kitchen, essential cooking utensils, and a washer/dryer.
At night, you can enjoy panoramic views of Wuxi city.

Crowne Plaza Suzhou is hands down my favorite hotel when it comes to attention to detail. They truly excel at it – the lobby scent is delightful, the elevator buttons are sanitized, the hallway carpets are so clean there are no footprints, bottled water in the room is replenished daily, bedside charging ports are conveniently placed, the blackout curtains make it feel like night, shower water temperature is perfectly consistent, and the breakfast noodles are freshly cooked. Plus, the staff's smiles feel genuinely warm. Individually, these details might seem minor, but together they create a truly comfortable experience.
Of course, the big things are impressive too – the prime Jinji Lake view, its direct position facing the Gate of the Orient, and the unique cruise ship-themed design are all solid selling points. The staff's professionalism and enthusiasm are also evident. This is a hotel that excels in grand aspects while paying meticulous attention to the small ones. Stay here, and you'll be impressed by its details. I sincerely recommend it to anyone who appreciates such fine points. Dolphin Xiaoyu

Whenever I return to Suzhou from abroad, I always choose Pingjiang Lodge. It holds a special place in my heart because I used to walk past it and Pingjiang Road every day on my way to school. Plus, the hotel boasts a 500-year-old 'Half Garden.' Though small, it's a quintessential Suzhou garden where you can sit and enjoy tea, complete with parrots that say 'hello.' It's truly a remedy for homesickness, no need to visit other gardens. The service has always been exceptional. During this stay, I mentioned that it had been 40 years since I left Suzhou, and Manager Xiao Tang at the front desk immediately upgraded my room and sent some fruit. Breakfast is decent, and the hotel's homemade toppings are authentic – I look forward to them every morning. The location is absolutely perfect; Pingjiang Road is right outside, and popular attractions like Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum are all incredibly close. There are also various specialty snacks and restaurants nearby. Aside from the crowds of tourists, it's practically flawless. Staying here makes me so happy; it truly feels like coming home.

The views are great, with large floor-to-ceiling windows. The front desk service was pretty good too. Downstairs is the Suning.com Plaza, making shopping, strolling, and dining incredibly convenient. The pedestrian street and food street are also a short walk away. My favorite is the roasted lamb shank at the food street; I make sure to have one every time I visit.

GGuest UserMy love for Jiangnan has deepened even further! This time, I brought my 80-year-old mother back to Suzhou. We haphazardly picked this hotel, and to our surprise, it turned out to be absolutely fantastic! This morning, we were woken by the calls of spotted doves outside our window, having had such a wonderfully comfortable sleep. The breakfast buffet was also superb, and the staff were incredibly attentive and detailed. I had originally planned to explore the hotel's surroundings more this morning to take some photos for an online review, but breakfast took longer than expected, so I didn't get a chance to snap many pictures. It's just a few steps from the subway station, and the surrounding area is beautiful. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserThe Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou was the most delightful surprise of our trip.
The hotel's design has a distinctive character. Our room was elegant, clean, and comfortable, and I particularly loved the balcony overlooking the garden. During the day, the red maples contrasted beautifully with the white walls, and lush greenery framed the windows, capturing the serene essence of a Jiangnan garden. As night fell, the courtyard lights illuminated, and tree shadows danced on the water, adding a touch of peaceful mystery to the daytime elegance.
Grabbing a complimentary beer from the fridge, I leaned against the railing, feeling the evening breeze whisper through the trees – a moment of pure, springtime relaxation.
The dining experience was equally enjoyable. The breakfast's spicy oil noodles and mixed noodles were incredibly flavorful, and my family couldn't stop raving about the wontons. I, however, was particularly fond of the Italian coffee at the bar; one sip brought a wonderful warmth. Upon arrival, the Happy Hour at the 168 Pavilion Bar offered a relaxed setting with excellent food and drinks.
Even more impressive was the warmth of the staff. Every attendant was kind and soft-spoken. We encountered a minor issue during our stay, but the young lady assisting us resolved it with such thoughtful and meticulous care that we were truly touched. Coincidentally meeting Kelly, the hotel's adopted Labrador, upon check-out, further reinforced the feeling that this elegant space held a gentle, heartwarming charm.
The appeal of Bamboo Grove extends beyond its design and scenery; it seamlessly weaves the elegance and comforting warmth of Jiangnan into every single detail.

JjenniferfangThis trip was a family outing. I brought my in-laws to Suzhou to celebrate their birthday a bit early, so I specifically looked for a historic building with a Suzhou garden style. I booked three rooms and contacted the hotel to arrange two ground-floor rooms with courtyards. The hotel even thoughtfully prepared a birthday cake for my mother and offered turn-down service with a light soup in the evening. The restaurant was also good. We initially considered dining there on the first night but weren't sure about the dishes. After breakfast the next day, we decisively had lunch at the restaurant, and both elders thoroughly enjoyed it! The hotel's arrangements for coming and going were also very well-managed. This trip's food and accommodation were both excellent. A truly great hotel!

Mmark628Traveling with my family, I chose this hotel near Sanyang Plaza. It's super convenient – just two subway stops on Line 1 from Wuxi Station. Following the signs, we arrived at Exit 20B, and the hotel parking lot was right there. The hotel has excellent facilities; there's a swimming pool and fitness center on the 10th floor, the lobby is on the 43rd floor, and the breakfast buffet is on the 64th floor. Eating breakfast while overlooking the Wuxi city skyline was a fantastic experience...

GGuest UserWhen we arrived, the dam had been repaired, and we could see the beautiful view of Tianmu Lake from the hotel door. The hotel housekeeper contacted us in advance, and we stayed in the private soup room and gave us fish head vouchers. For other dishes, we ordered black rice and The small bamboo shoots are quite delicious when cooked, and the experience is still very good!
GGuest UserI came to Nanjing for Liu Yuning's concert, and the Regalia Hotel I chose this time truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel is about 3 kilometers from the venue, so a taxi ride was very quick. After the show, I could get back to my room quickly to rest, avoiding a lot of traffic headaches. The location is absolutely perfect for concert-goers. What touched me even more was the hotel's service, especially Ada at the front desk. She was so warm and attentive, making me feel incredibly welcomed from check-in to check-out. It added a lot of warmth to my solo fan-chasing trip. Although the room wasn't huge, it was decorated very cozily and was impeccably clean. The bedding was comfortable, allowing me to get a good night's sleep after days of rushing around and the excitement of the concert.
The only 'minor regret' was Nanjing's weather these past two days – the temperature fluctuated quite a bit, which was a bit unexpected. However, the hotel itself was always warm and comfortable. If I come to Nanjing again for a show or to visit, Regalia will definitely be my first choice!
LlucyzhengrongThe hotel stay experience is great! Must give praise~
• Comfortable environment: The room is clean and tidy, the bedding is soft and comfortable, the lighting and sound insulation are very good, the stay is super safe, and the lake view room is upgraded.
• Intimate service: The housekeeper Miss Yu Ting is enthusiastic and professional, the check-in is super fast, and she also takes the initiative to introduce the surrounding food and facilities, and responds to every request!
• Complete facilities: air conditioning, hot water are super powerful, Wi-Fi speed is fast, and there is free parking, which is very friendly to self-driving parties~
• High cost performance: reasonable price, rich breakfast, yun er will stay here next time~

The moment I walked in, I felt completely relaxed. The subtle fragrance was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was so inviting I didn't want to get up. The staff were exceptionally kind, gentle, and attentive without being intrusive. It's the perfect place to come for a couple of days when you're tired or stressed.
