A good Hotel which we overall enjoyed. What we like: The Hard Rock concept with a nice soundbar in the room. Design and details of the Hotel. For example light goes on in the wardrobe when you open it. Nice welcome snack and every day water in the room. Service is good and the rooms where clean. What was ok: The breakfast is overall ok but maybe a little bit to less variety. Parking per day with 35€ a little bit expensive (you need it!) What we don’t like: Size of the room for the price is to small. 2 small suitcases is difficult to handle.

One of the best stay I ever had. The hotel has a fantastic atmosphere, the breakfast it's really good and has a great variety of food, the attendant's team is almost perfect, expect for the bar in the evening, the rooms are spacious, clean and have everything you need. I found a very nice surprise for woman, beside the hair dryer there was an hair straightener. Very hepfull! The SPA was clean and excellent atmpsphere. I foundall service I would like to have. We didn't try the restaurant, but I saw people dining when in Budapest all the restaurants don't accept you anymore. I really felt cluddled!

Check-in for large hotels is at 4pm, which is a bit uncomfortable for those arriving on an early morning long-distance flight. Fortunately, I booked the executive floor, where I can rest and eat. There are many large conferences and activities here, and it is very busy. The hotel has the best scenery, close to the Danube River between two bridges, with a full view of both sides, and the attractions can be reached on foot. The sound insulation is also good, but it is a bit old and the room is small. The gym with the most beautiful scenery is probably.

Hotel location is good, downtown. The hotel has a long history and opened in 1856. The whole hotel has a strong culture and is similar to the Peace Hotel in Shanghai. Hotel prices are moderate and cost effective. Walk about 15 minutes from the Danube. It is convenient to shop around and there are many supermarkets. The breakfast is very plentiful and suitable for bringing children together. The hotel has a swimming pool spa. The room can accommodate an extra bed. Very satisfied!

The lobby is just fabulous and the Cafe de Paris, which is attached to, but not owned by (as I understand it) the hotel is totally amazing. Wonderful marble lobby, friendly and very efficient front desk/concierge staff and the rooms are good, but not exceptional. For sightseeing the location is not the best - there are no good restaurants around and about and the food on the hotel’s balcony overlooking the Cafe de Paris is boring and very expensive - as is the wine, and drinks in the lobby. We would recommend the hotel highly to friends but point out that the location is not the best for sightseeing - that said there is a Hop on, Hop off bus stop right outside the door.

We stay here when on business in Budapest, and usually don't have problems but staying in 315 recently we were put next to people having a party in 317, it was really noisy, some kind of last night in Budapest flight crew thing. Why would you put business people next to party people? It just made no sense. We got moved for the night to a quieter suite on same floor, 323, which was great but the next day the front desk ”miscommunicated” us to the breakfast area to collect our breakfast boxes. Its puzzling. Overall the staff are super friendly and things usually go without a hitch and on that basis I would recommend. I really hope standards aren't slipping as it would be a shame.

Upon first enter, we were pleasently surprised by the dessert serving, that was provided for us as a welcoming gesture from hotel! Cakes don't lie. Breakfast was good and delicious and widely provided! Little bit everything for everyone. We loved the dining area in the hotel's beautiful restaurant hall, where you could enjoy your breakfast meal while admiring the hall's luxurious design. Lastly the spa and gym services provided should be something for everyone to check out. We wanted a spa features for our few days stay in Budapest and Aurea Ana Palace hotel's servings for this need were more than satisfying enough for couple days stay. Sauna was brilliantly realdeal (coming from a finn!) and cold pool, jacuzzi pools were suitable enough for relaxing for couple days. For longer than few days of stay maybe bigger spa facility would be needed. We also took massage service in the hotel, which was provided upon request. Masseuses were very professional and caring during the massage! Gym itself wasn't big deal: 2 treadmills, rowing machine, crosstrainer for some cardio training. Strength training possibilities were very minor due to one only small crosspulley device. What we DID NOT enjoy: Overall, I would say we were fully satisfied and happy of our stay in Aurea Ana Palace hotel. We will definitely recommend this to anyone looking for luxurious experience for few days in the city withoit breaking completely their wallet. We'll be keeping in mind of this pearl for the next time we set foot on Budapest! However, few development ideas to consider for the staff: Spa should be useable also during the earlier day/morning (Spa opens by 13.00). This would give more flexibility and even more richer experience for the guest to enjoy morning bath/sauna before starting their day. Gym could use few more additions for strength training capacities. For example in freeweight section, such as: handweights, bars, etc. Elevator traffic was sometimes too crowded. During our stay one of the two elevators was out of service, which made the hotel's one and only elevator overly congested. The broken elevator was sadly out of service during our whole visit.

As an example, we needed taxi service several times and always could count on getting one exactly as needed. A few issues: -You can only regulate the cooling by up to 3 degrees, likely reasonable most days but we experienced one of the hottest days in Budapest's history this past week. A hot day/evening with the heavy comforters on all beds does not make for a good night's sleep. -The shower is raised by about 4 inches over the bathroom floor so anyone with a troublesome back, will have an issue stepping down from the slippery shower. -The breakfast was OK, not up to the standards that Kempinsky publicizes is their goal.

For sightseeing the location is not the best - there are no good restaurants around and about and the food on the hotel’s balcony overlooking the Cafe de Paris is boring and very expensive - as is the wine, and drinks in the lobby. We would recommend the hotel highly to friends but point out that the location is not the best for sightseeing - that said there is a Hop on, Hop off bus stop right outside the door.

You can get to the hotel by train and bus from Budapest. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. The bus only takes cash so make sure you have that available. The bus driver was kind enough to let us on for free. They do have transportation to and from the airport for a charge. We opted to have a driver to the airport since it would be less stressful. They do have experiences that you can purchase to explore the surrounding areas. We only stayed one night so we spent the entire time at the hotel. It was very relaxing and highly recommend.
