Very Good
Jj workI've been to dozens of Cancun all-inclusive resorts but there is no place like Temptation. We are American Asians in our late 20's and had a total blast at this place.
Vibe- high energy party vibe with sexy employees and a topless optional pool. A totally carefree and relaxed environment for couples to getaway.
Food- I read mixed reviews on food, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and options of food available! I had plenty of amazing dishes to try everyday. I loved their steak burger, octopus, shrimp cocktail, sushi and more.
Drinks- also pleasantly surprised that there were a TON of choices and quality options like Don Julio, black label and more.
Service- excellent service as you can expect from all inclusive hotels. I would give a shout-out to POLO who works the quiet pool bar. Everyone else was friendly and helpful too.
Entertainment- yes to the SHE restaurant. Have a 5 star quality meal while watching talented dancers work the stage and pole. What an experience! Everyday in the late afternoon there is a show at the pool, and they are funny AF but very naughty. The crowd loved it and were totally down.
Tips and Notes
-its a naughty place. Sensual and sexual themes, smells, vibes are pervasive. There are attractive couples of all ages, many who may be open to naughty experiences together. Of course everything is up to you and everyone is respectful. But anything goes here, as long as it's in your own room.
-tip everyone. It will enhance the workers life and enhance your service as well!
-in bash tower balcony rooms you may see couples putting on a ”show”. We wanted to see something crazy so we booked this room and sure as heck, we saw plenty of action!
-bash tower rooms give you access to the rooftop pool and hot tubs. Great for lunch and to getaway from the rowdy sexy pool.
-bash night club is always poppin. It's an outdoor Vegas style club with a huge bar, led stage and amazing nightly performances from talented dancers. Don't miss it!
-2 to 5 nights is sufficient here, or you might get partied out
-there is a timeshare type of pitch at the beginning, we didn't do it but that's up to you. You get some freebies and there's no commitment so just depends on your time.
-while there's a fair amount of younger people, the average is definitely in the 40s. I do wish there were more Asians at the resort as it skews white/Hispanic. They should make the prices on trip.com better in order to boost the Asian demographic presence. That's my only suggestion!
GGuest UserStandout was the unique rooms which are extremely private, spacious and beautifully designed along the lagoon. Personally I didn’t quite understand the ‘Butler’ concept and found some of the comms style a bit frustrating.
The other standout was the ‘Day of the dead’ celebrations. The property was decorated beautifully and very well organised. The opportunity to also participate was great as we felt emerged in the festivities. It would have been nice if the dinner package also included the face painting.
More broadly the property is set within mayakoba so you can explore the grounds including the other hotels and it was fun to explore on the bikes.
The only other thing to be aware off is also this is the more premium / exclusive hotel in mayakoba it’s still geared towards families or at least there where quite a few kids around. Finally don’t have high expectations of the beach it’s tiny and there isn’t much space.
If you want high end luxury visit Maroma.
XXindongyongyuanzaoyuxingdong1. The hotel's location is great, with bus lines R1 and R2 right outside, which is very convenient.
2. The room I booked was a bit noisy, facing the street, so you could hear cars passing by, but it was still tolerable and acceptable.
3. Breakfast was decent. They said bottled water would be provided, but there wasn't any in the room when I checked in. After calling, it took quite a while for it to be delivered. The next day, after the room was cleaned, there still wasn't any, and I had to ask for it. I'm not sure why.
4. The hotel's private beach is quite nice, and the environment is lovely.
GGuest UserOur stay was beautiful, I will not deny that. However it was not without a few letdowns. I am a woman who is all about a pool and was so excited to swim in the absolutely gorgeous pool I saw in all the photos online. I visited the week of Jan 1- Jan 7th and the weather was quite warm about 75 degrees every day. HOWEVER, the pool was absolutely FREEZING to the point where I was shivering being in it. Felt like an ICE BATH :( It was not enjoyable and with this being a secluded/ all inclusive hotel there weren't very much other forms of entertainment during the day except for the pool and the beach (the water was warm at the beach). It was so disappointing. I called the front desk to ask if anything could be done but they stated was no pool heater/temperature adjuster. We paid about 4 grand total for this trip and to be completely honest were only able to enjoy the pool once. My next complaint comes to the beach. We went to the beach which gets pretty bus. There was a day where every single chair was full and two of the hotel cabanas were being taken over by random street vendors - taking away two spots for the guests from the 100% packed beach area. These guys were NOT a part of the hotel and are the vendors who go around trying to sell cigars, etc. I watched the staff pass by them multiple times and say nothing while ACTUAL GUESTS had nowhere to lounge by the beach. That was very disappointing as these guys were laughing loudly, staring at guests, and did not move as people walked by looking for chairs. Other than that I will admit that the food was great, the staff was super nice, the hotel grounds were IMPECCABLE, the rooms were nice, everything else was quite lovely. But for the reasons listed I will not be staying at this all inclusive again, although you can still make the most of it and have a lovely experience overall. I'd recommend a stay if you're not going for the main reason of enjoying the pool and the beach.
GGuest UserOverall, I would rate this 5/10.
The resort has beautiful surroundings with lots of greenery—I'd give the environment 9/10. The pool was nice, although it extremely shallow. So you can’t swim. You just stand.
There are plenty of amenities, and on paper it's an all-inclusive resort, but that doesn't mean much if the food is disappointing.
The room was spacious and clean. When we first entered, it had a very strong chlorine smell, but apart from that, it was well maintained.
The biggest letdown was the food. The “Italian” restaurant is a 3/10. The pizza was at best disappointing, the rest of the dishes were just average. The only ice cream shop is at best 4/10—completely bland. The pizza place had a waiting time of 30min. So I couldn’t try it.
There was a moment were all places were closed. So I couldn’t have an early lunch or late breakfast. So I got some fruit (ok) and some extremely unfresh and dry burger from a bar, which I couldn’t finish.
The lunch buffet was also 3/10, honestly some of the worst food I've had ever. On the other hand, breakfast was excellent (9/10) with a great variety of options.
The drinks were another disappointment. They were extremely weak. Normally, one or two cocktails are enough for me, but here I needed four or five to feel anything, which made them seem heavily diluted.
The staff were excellent throughout the stay—friendly, professional, and helpful.
One thing that surprised me was the activities. Before going to the beach, I asked about one excursion and was told it cost $80 per person. So it seems that not every activity is included in an all-inclusive package… but charging $80 per person for a boat trip to go swimming felt excessive.
For €240 per night, I expected much better food and better overall value. The beautiful grounds and good staff weren't enough to make up for the disappointing dining experience.
GGuest UserPerfectly located on the Cancun Hotel Zone strip, this resort strikes a great balance — close enough to the action if you want it, yet far enough away to truly unwind. The property itself is charming, not overly large, which makes everything easily accessible.
The pools are just the right size for activities and socializing, but the real highlight is the stunning beach — that’s where I spent most of my time. Dining options are plentiful with several restaurants to choose from (reservations are required), and the bars offer a wide variety of drinks. The café is also a must-visit.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience. This isn’t a massive, party-centric resort — it’s better suited for travelers looking to relax and enjoy the beach in a more laid-back atmosphere. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be refreshing the rooms and hallways, as they’re starting to show their age.
GGuest UserStaying at this hotel brought mixed impressions. On one hand, the property looks new and visually appealing; on the other, there were several disappointing and controversial moments.
The check-in process felt quite strange. My room upgrade request was declined in an inappropriate manner despite my Hilton Honors Gold status. Additionally, no one assisted us in locating our room, and there was no introduction to the hotel facilities- we were simply told to find all information in the app.
The room itself was very noisy due to constant traffic from buses and service vehicles outside the windows. A request to change the room was declined, and the receptionist even mentioned that my Gold status meant nothing for this booking. Housekeeping also skipped our room twice, despite the sign on the door requesting service.
On the positive side, the food quality was generally good, and the entertainment program was decent, though not outstanding. It was surprising that the bars did not provide a clear drinks menu of what could be ordered. The biggest drawback of the hotel is the beach, which is almost nonexistent.
The highlights were the wonderful Kids’ Club staff and the generally friendly hotel personnel, although some bartenders and reception staff were less welcoming. The swimming pool is pleasant, but the hot tubs were disappointing, with noticeably dirty water.
Regarding the all-inclusive restaurants, the Italian restaurant was excellent, while the Mexican restaurant was the weakest.
Overall, the hotel has potential thanks to its modern appearance and some great staff members, but improvements in service consistency, cleanliness, communication, and beach access would significantly enhance the guest experience.
GGuest UserI think it's the best choice for a honeymoon...
The atmosphere feels like a Western old couple coming to rest,
and there are only 2 Korean couples including my wife and I!!
Everyone here is kind and doesn't ask for tips!
And especially the Korean concierge, Jeha, just carries it hard,,
I had some trouble with the taxi, but he helped me right away and made it so that I could take care of it when I got to Koreaㅠ ㅠ
Even without asking, he packed a lunch for me because the airport food was bad and expensive, and he was just the best.. .💗
We'll go again when our 10th anniversary comes!
GGuest UserGood review: A surprisingly wonderful stay, I'll definitely choose this place again next time!
This stay at [Hotel Name] completely exceeded my expectations. From the details to the service, everything felt incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. I absolutely recommend it with a full score!
First, the hygiene and environment were impeccable. The moment I opened the door, my eyes lit up. The room was spacious and bright, the air was fresh with no strange odors, the sheets and duvet covers were perfectly white and smooth, feeling soft and comfortable. The bathroom floor was dry with no puddles, and the sink and toilet were wiped spotless. Even the shower glass had no water stains, making for a truly reassuring stay. From the window, I could see a small garden, which was particularly therapeutic to wake up to when opening the curtains.
Second, the facilities were comprehensive and considerate. The air conditioning in the room cooled and heated quickly with very little noise, ensuring I wasn't disturbed while sleeping. The mattress was moderately firm, and there were pillows of different thicknesses to choose from; I slept for two nights without any back pain. The room also came equipped with USB charging ports, a hairdryer, and bottled mineral water. Even the toiletries were pump-style and felt high-quality – every detail showed great care.
Finally, the service was warm and efficient. During check-in, the front desk staff greeted us with friendly smiles, quickly processed our paperwork, and even proactively shared information about nearby restaurants and transportation routes. When I called the front desk midway through my stay to borrow a charger, it was delivered in less than 5 minutes. Check-out was even more efficient; verifying information and issuing the invoice was done in one smooth process. They even kindly asked if we needed help calling a taxi, showing no impatience whatsoever.
Such a hotel with great value for money and excellent service is truly perfect for travelers. I've already recommended it to friends, and I will definitely choose this place again the next time I visit this city!
GGuest UserSuperb hotel, restaurants are delicious, Asian restaurants are confusing, favorite Italian restaurant, the hotel occasionally has a buffet by the pool. Facilities are great, rooms are large, adults only, no children, great stay.
