5-Star Hotels in Central Visayas, Philippines

We stayed at Henann Alona Resort as a family. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The foods are good lots of selections, and the location is perfect, with the surrounding pools is amazing my kids love it, they have kids and adult pool and what i love in the pool its not crowded worth the money, and our premier  room is big and the view is the pool. Good for family and friends outing.

The scenery is beautiful, the rooms are clean and well-designed, the facilities are complete, and the breakfast is abundant. The swimming pool is fantastic. For breakfast, you can order à la carte, and the coffee and fruits are especially great. For lunch and dinner, the food at the adjacent MANJA restaurant is also excellent. At the sunset bar, cocktails have a happy hour before 6 PM. You can snorkel, paddleboard, or kayak at the beach, and even walk to the beach of the neighboring hotel. The staff are very warm and attentive. Overall, it was a great experience, and I've already recommended this hotel to my friends.

We had a pleasant stay at Henann Premier Coast Resort and truly appreciated the hospitality throughout our visit. One thing that stood out was how welcoming and friendly the staff were — every staff member we encountered greeted us warmly and made us feel comfortable during our stay. We also arranged the hotel’s transfer service between the seaport and hotel. Although the price is charged per person and may feel slightly expensive, the service quality definitely made it worthwhile, especially after a tiring journey. Special thanks to Garry for the warm welcome and assistance. I didn’t manage to catch the names of the other staff members, but everyone at the lobby area was very accommodating and professional. The hotel itself is in a strategic location, directly in front of Alona Beach, making it very convenient for travelers. The facilities were great as well — we especially loved the beautiful pools, including the rooftop sky pool with a stunning sunset view. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices, and we particularly enjoyed the salad section. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and suitable for a relaxing stay. Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend Henann for its hospitality, facilities, and convenient location.

Locals told me this is the most luxurious hotel in Cebu. The opulent lobby and the kind, attentive staff truly impressed me. The view from my room wasn't great as there was construction (probably another hotel) directly across, but the room was cleaned beautifully every day, making my stay very comfortable. I was also very happy to have a bathtub, as hotels with tubs are quite rare in Cebu. This meant the bathroom was quite spacious. Although you could see into the room from the outside, closing the curtains solved that completely. The amenities were excellent, including toothbrushes, razors, combs, and more! I was also pleased to find body lotion. I booked a plan with breakfast included, and I'm so glad I did! There was a wide variety of dishes, and the menu changed slightly every day, so I never got bored. While some dishes had a strong smell, the taste wasn't bad at all. There are pools on the 4th and 5th floors, and the views were absolutely stunning, so I highly recommend checking them out. The pool on the 4th floor is smaller, but the panoramic views are fantastic for taking photos. The gym was also available 24 hours. If I ever go to Cebu again, I will definitely stay at this hotel. It was so wonderful that I didn't want to go back to Japan...

We had a great 5-night stay at Henann Tawala and would rate it 4.5 stars. The hotel is very modern and offers good value for money — in fact, it was our favorite among the three Henann resorts in the area, even compared to the flagship. We stayed in a room with a pool view, which was really nice and added to the overall relaxing experience. The room was comfortable and well designed, with a bathtub as well. Staff were friendly and helpful, although not every aspect feels fully 5 star. Breakfast was decent but the selection is smaller compared to international 5-star hotel chains. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily recommend Henann Tawala.

The entire resort consists of 1-2 story buildings, giving it a real vacation vibe away from the bustling city. The staff were incredibly friendly throughout our stay. You do have to be patient with the slower service, like dishes being served, which is common in the Philippines, but then again, we were there to enjoy a 'slow-paced life.' If you want your room cleaned quickly, you'll need to call the front desk specifically, otherwise, it typically won't be done until after 3 PM.

The hotel is grand and spotlessly clean. Although check-in is at 3 PM, the staff were very polite. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, served until 10 AM. The hotel's pool wasn't crowded, and there were many sports facilities available.

Best family hotel. All staffs from reception, to bell boys to the restaurants are all so welcoming and accommodating. They have this huge kidzone play place for kids and attendants are so caring , attentive and kind. We really enjoyed all the resorts facilities. My son & niece enjoyed the pool , beach and kidzone. U should join their Shangrila membership to get gift like snorkel set use, ice cream or the 2hr pass from kidzone which is really the best of the 3.

Hotel service is very good.. attendants/concierge are polite and always willing to assist whenever you needed them. In terms of location its nice also since Parkmall is at the opposite side of the hotel where there are plenty of restaurants available should you decide not to dine in the hotels restaurant. In comparison to similar hotels in the city, it is highly recommended since its less than 30 minutes away from the airport and short trip to Cebu City's business area and malls ie; Ayala, IT Park, SM City, Robisnon's Galleria, SM Seaside etc. Cleanliness and the well maintained facilities of this hotel is a big factor for a relaxing stay in Cebu. I had a fantastic time staying at The Reef Resort! The staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and clean and the resort have enough activities to keep you busy. I would definitely recommend this resort to family and friends. The breakfast buffet every morning was good with assorted choices. You can snorkel infront of the resort with so many different kind of fish, I was amazed! The resort even packed me a breakfast box when I had to leave early in the mornings for activities. They also have a great SPA with great treatments! A well equipped gym overlooking the ocean. Thank you for making my stay unforgettable!
