Amazing hotel. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. Champagne and fresh juice as much as you wanted. I got a lobster roll and eggs Benedict. Amazing! Hotel room couldn’t of been better! The jacuzzi bath perfection. Hotel couldn’t do any more. We even bought the robe and flip flops they were that comfy. Overall the hotel was lush. Would 10000% stay again. The pools and beach were so quiet which was fantastic.

Amazing service and room. There is a ”surprise of the day” which you can order to the room once a day which is very nice. In addition there is a cocktail bar in the room and gin, vodka and whiskey for you to make your own cocktails which is very cool. The breakfast has a huge variety and very high quality. In addition you can order some special courses from the menu.

We were a family of 4, staying in 2 rooms for 2 nights. We were very impressed with the care and attention given to the details by the entire hotel staff. And thank you for the great service provided to our family while staying here. which everyone was impressed and will remember this place in our memories And we thought we'd go back here again. It is a hotel with a very beautiful location in Thailand.

I read many reviews about this resort and studied the Mantra Samui website, but never learned until after I booked (4 nights stay) my room that they had cancelled , during Covid, the regular shuttle that took guests down the hill to Fisherman Villa. I learned this because I called the hotel before my trip to ask some questions and also ask how to reserve a place on their shuttle. The resort does have one auto/driver that will drive you down to the bottom of the hill if it is there, and if it is not picking up someone at the airport. The shuttle delivers you directly to the bottom of the hill, is pretty much is just a local road. Then you can wave down a taxi and negotiate the price. Some fun! The Mantra Sumai should update their website to say the regular shuttle has been cancelled, and replaced by their maybe available one car. Continuing my story... We booked a massage at another hotel that is about 20 minutes away, and gave ourselves one hour to get there. So the night before we reserved to get the ride down to the bottom of the hill for the next day afternoon. When we went to reception, we were informed there was an accident, which was a flat tire, and the tire 'might' be fixed in half an hour and then another 20 minutes to get back to the Mantra. They apparently felt no responsibility to contact us. Just wait for the guests to show up and then tell them. They felt no responsibility to call the driver for any update. They then offered to call a taxi, but that would take about 20 minutes to arrive. Also when you call a taxi there is no opportunity for negotiation. My hour was dwindling. Well 20 is better than maybe 30 + 20 minutes. So they called the taxi. Luckily the Mantra driver showed up after 15 minutes, and the taxi was cancelled. My conclusion, after all the interfaces with reception, is they have a poor sense of responsibility and lacking the ability for logical thinking to provide a good guest experience. There are other examples beyond the above. Our suite room was in good condition, and everything functioning. Well, except the phone did not work, but I did not need that. The suite has a king size bed and a separate built in bed in the back of the living room. OK, so 4 people can stay. But the flaw in the suites is there is only a 2 person love seat to sit on. There is no chair, and no desk. It is no fun to use your laptop when the coffee table level is below your knees. A simple 4 leg table for a desk, and a simple chair would be nice, and not cost very much. They do have an on-site co-work room somewhere, but I did not use it. I think it is an extra cost and I did not have that much work to do anyway. The highlight of the Mantra Samui was the included breakfast. There are many cooked to order choices plus a buffet of juices, fruits, cereals, yogurt, pastries, and several breads you can toast yourself. We stayed at this newly built hotel for 5 Nights in October 22 which is usually OFF season (instead of offering for free upgrade they asked us 300 Thai bath for an upgrade). the hotel is extremely beautiful, but location is not good, even for 7/11 Shop you need to walk for 15 min up and down hill. there is no restaurant for dinner outside the hotel. No free shuttle to main shopping area (Central Sumai). rooms are nice and clean (no coffee creamer though they send you COLD milk in your room). there are few areas that need to be improved. House keeping is average. All the staff is very polite and helpful. we had free buffet breakfast which was bellow Average. our stay was long 5 Nights and during our stay we never ever had HOT tea or COFFEE. it always took at least 15 minutes for them to serve you coffee. Breakfast scene is pretty chaotic . pools are very very nice and clean, they have very small private beach. but the view from each room specially the lobby is to die for. overall i will still give it 8/10

We are a group of adults and kids and stayed at the hotel u samui for 8 nights. We had the best experience with this hotel. The staff is exceptional and so helpful! The hotel is clean and quite new. The breakfast was delicious and there was a mix of western and asian food available. The infinity pool with a view to the sea was phenomenal. All in all, it was the best vacation in koh samui we could have imagined due to the great experience we did with Hotel Usamui! Thanks a lot, we enjoyed our stay very much with the hotel!

We took my brother to the FishHouse on 27 December to celebrate his 60th birthday. Party of 10. We had an early booking of 6.30pm as my brother was not well. The service was very rushed. The waiters told us at the outset that the restaurant would be very full and busy later and they advised us to order quickly. This help kill the welcome. The restaurant never got very busy so I don't know why they told us this in the first place. It made us feel rather unwelcome. The starters were good. However, some of the main courses were disappointing. Four of us ordered the ”paella” dish, two the squid ink paella and two the foie gras paella. Paella is a Spanish sea food dish. It is usually served about 1.5 inches deep, heaving in seafood such as prawns, squid, etc. This seemed like a good choice as we were in a fish restaurant. Paella was listed on the menu to ”serve two”. I have no idea why. They were tiny. A single adult could easily eat one and still feel hungry. Annoying. It was nothing like the paella we have eaten in Spain. There was a thin dry layer of rice in the bottom of the pan. The squid ink paella could hardly be described as heaving with seafood. There were four mussels on top. The rice did not contain any seafood. As to the ”foie gras paella”, we expected this would be both seafood and have foie gras. However, the ”paella” had no seafood at all. Again, it was just a thin layer of rice along the bottom of the pan with a piece of foie gras on top. I don't see how one can have a ”paella” with no sea food. It is self contradictory. The staff should have warned us that the so-called ”paella” contained no sea food. We felt this was a disappointing effort for what was meant to be special occasion. I had specially recommended the place as we had a good time when we stayed there during the year. We emailed the GM, but he/she did not even do us the courtesy of a reply.

1. Had 2 separate bookings and requested them to make it a back-to-back reservation so I have the same room throughout my stay. Had informed them prior to arrival (assured me it’s done), had to request and remind again upon check in (apparently wasn’t done). Came by the front desk to check on it a day before my 2nd booking (it wasn’t done yet again!). The next day, my key wasn’t working as it wasn’t programmed for my entire stay. They gave me a bogus reason that I need to check in again when I was assured everything was resolved on 3 occasions! 2. Requested for late check out and was told to check again on the eve of my departure. Checked on the eve of my departure, to only be rejected for late check out. Was repeatedly told to keep my luggage at 12pm when I was trying to reason with them. We know we can leave our luggage like any other hotel but didn’t want to. Hence, the late check out. The staff should be able to see the occupancy forecasts and manage my expectations upon check in and not disappoint me on a later day. 3. Shared my negative experience and after some empathetic requests (I didn’t want any monetary service recovery), was given an extra hour for late check out. They said that’s the best they can do. 4. Make sure to lock all your valuables in the safe. Housekeeping left my door ajar after make up room. I only found out when I returned at night! 5. Nice beach bar but basic cocktails. The minimum spent for a sofa/bed is ridiculously high. So visit other beach bars with better service and cocktails. 6. To all that’s reading this, don’t expect any empathy and assistance from this hotel. Don’t make any request! They can’t resolve them! I gave them 2 stars for the below. Positives: 1. Location is okay, quiet area with some stores and restaurants 2. Staff was friendly and pool is warm to dip 3. Breakfast acceptable.

I nearly changed my holiday because of the negative reviews that i read here, however i was so pleased i didn't and went with my gut instinct. I have just returned from the most wonderful relaxing holiday at the Mai Samui beach resort. The hotel has been built in a traditional Thai style, on a quiet peninsular of Samui. So if you are looking for a glossy high rise concrete soulless block with entertainment and plenty of bars surrounding you, then this is not the place for you. There are a few local restaurants and a coffee shop only a few minutes walk away. With lively Bophut, with the Fisherman's market and Nathon are only a short taxi ride away (or free bus from hotel every day). The hotel has a variety of rooms to stay in, a couple of restaurants and a great beach bar with an extensive cocktail menu. The staff are all amazing, friendly and helpful. The hotel is currently having a few renovations but so has everyone else. Hotels and bars across the world have all suffered being locked down for several years due to Covid 19, and have only just re-opened, so yes they all need to do a bit of catch up. The renovations did not impact us in any way, and did not spoil our holiday one bit. I chose not to do all inclusive and opted for breakfast only. There was plenty of choice every morning. The egg chef was always busy with everyone's individual orders. One very small negative is the lack gluten free options or milk alternatives, but we worked around it. The beach is not your usual tropical lounging sandy spot. This is a very shallow tidal bay with some rocks and corals. It is great for a low tide walk, but not swimming. To make up for this the hotel has a couple of large well thought out swimming pools. and there is a raised sandy area to the front of the beach with plenty of sunbeds and chairs to lounge on. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel if you prefer a quite resort but with easy access to livelier towns. If i have the chance i would definitely come back again. Overall the hotel was nice but in several point not what we expected: We booked a „villa with sea view“. There was no sea view at the villa that was assigned to us. You couldn’t see the sea neither from within the villa nor from the pool nor from the sun beds nor from the outside bath tub. The only way to see a glimpse of the sea was to stand up on a certain spot on the terrace. That’s not what we expected from a room advertised as „with sea view“ and the (trip.com) booking page also suggested otherwise. When we complained, we got assigned another villa where we could see the sea partly. Thank you for that. However, the manager told us that the photos from the booking page were in fact another villa. But it's not my responsibility to make sure that the photos and pictures provided on booking pages are correct. The hotel has to take care of that! This holds also true for the next issue: The gym was closed due to renovation. In the booking process, they advertised a huge fitness center with lots of machines. Now it’s shut down and we did not get any information about this. The „mini gym“, which does not even have at least one multi exercise machine, is nothing but a bad joke and no replacement at all for a proper gym! Again the staff told us they would inform about this on their website. When I checked that, I still found the photos of the large gym on their own website. It was just called ”mini gym”. But how am I supposed to know what they mean by that and that the provided photos are no longer correct??

Breakfast category is not particularly rich, but enough. Very quiet and beautiful place, the staff is enthusiastic but not overly disturbing, the room is large, the insects are in place, the ecology is good, but no small animals will appear. The invincible sunset can be enjoyed without leaving home. Free canoes are provided. The hotel's shallow water is not deep and the waves are calm. Will choose to stay again next time!

I loved this hotel! The pool is incredible and the rooms were very spacious. The hotel itself is a bit out of the way but if you just want to hang out at the resort, it is more than equipped to keep you busy and/or relaxed (gym, pool, spa, beach). There is a cute little street right next to it with tons of great restaurants (Monsoon was amazing!) and that street leads to a huge beach. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone, but couples and families in particular.

We didn't stay there but did pay to use the pool and had dinner in the restaurant. The location is stunning with an amazing view across the bay, where you can see turtles from the pool if you are lucky! You pay 500 Baht to use the pool and are provide with a towel. This (the 500 Baht) is offset against your bar bill. We also ate in the restaurant - an amazing location with great views of the sunset, wonderful food and top service. I'd love to stay there one day. It is a little off the beaten track but as a result is very peaceful.

There are not many varieties of breakfast, but the quality is good. Hotel service is very good. Suitable for people who like quiet people, Koh Phangan is really quiet, and there are very few people in China. Anantara always pays attention to eating, must go to the restaurant on the second floor of the hall, their home ingredients are really very good, and the price is reasonable. It is worth living. Alternatively, the hotel has free kayaking to play. Oh, yes, it may be that the ecological environment in Koh Phangan is so good that there are often lizards.

The house gave me a very good impression. It felt cool when I entered the first day. The space on the first floor was open, and the glass in front of it was glass, revealing the clear pool and the sea in the distance. My family and I have a pleasant experience here. The location of the house is not too good, there is no shop nearby, but we rented a motorcycle when we went out. It is convenient to have a car. So this is not enough. We also book breakfast on the morning of the last day. A few aunts came over and made a table in half an hour. We will choose the next time there is a chance.

I loved this hotel! The pool is incredible and the rooms were very spacious. The hotel itself is a bit out of the way but if you just want to hang out at the resort, it is more than equipped to keep you busy and/or relaxed (gym, pool, spa, beach). There is a cute little street right next to it with tons of great restaurants (Monsoon was amazing!) and that street leads to a huge beach. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone, but couples and families in particular.

There are not many varieties of breakfast, but the quality is good. Hotel service is very good. Suitable for people who like quiet people, Koh Phangan is really quiet, and there are very few people in China. Anantara always pays attention to eating, must go to the restaurant on the second floor of the hall, their home ingredients are really very good, and the price is reasonable. It is worth living. Alternatively, the hotel has free kayaking to play. Oh, yes, it may be that the ecological environment in Koh Phangan is so good that there are often lizards.

The house gave me a very good impression. It felt cool when I entered the first day. The space on the first floor was open, and the glass in front of it was glass, revealing the clear pool and the sea in the distance. My family and I have a pleasant experience here. The location of the house is not too good, there is no shop nearby, but we rented a motorcycle when we went out. It is convenient to have a car. So this is not enough. We also book breakfast on the morning of the last day. A few aunts came over and made a table in half an hour. We will choose the next time there is a chance.
