About Viva
VivaAerobus is a Mexican low-cost airline founded in 2006. It is headquartered at Monterrey International Airport, in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon. Its main hubs are located at Monterrey International Airport and Mexico City International Airport. VivaAerobus operates over 160 routes in more than 60 destinations across Mexico, the United States, and Central America. The airline was initially a joint venture between the Mexican bus group IAMSA and Irelandia Aviation, the investment arm of Ryanair's founding family, but IAMSA became the sole owner in 2016. VivaAerobus is not part of any major airline alliance, but it has codeshare agreements with several airlines, including Interjet and Frontier Airlines. Thanks to the efforts ofmore than 2,000 employees, VivaAerobus has played a significant role in democratizing air travel in Mexico.
