West Street/Yangshuo Park Block
Location It's 'in' West Street rather than 'on' West Street. Surrounding the hotel is the Pedestrian shopping area. It is filled with street vendors and evening activities. Despite this the noise level in the hotel room is fine. You cannot hear anything from outside even during the evenings. Great location. Room The room itself (we were in the Cinema projector room) is large enough but it did lack a fridge. We were only there for 2 nights but any longer and this may be an issue. The room is clean. Daily housekeeping provides bed tidying, trash emptying, and new towels each night. One issue thing is that housekeeping turned off the AC and unplugged my charging plugs (to be fair, nothing at the time was actually being charged) but I do like coming back to a super cold room after a hot day so I didn't like the AC being turned off. If you are deciding on the Cinema room, be wary. It is a good movie-watching experience and there are lots of Chinese and Western films. But, it has to be in low light. You must close the curtains..... but the curtains still let in light through the bottom. You will also have to turn off the lights and this is another problem. Normally one light switch controls one light. But this hotel has smart switches where one switch can control several lights and there was no combination that we found can allow the room to be dark enough for the screen but allow some light so you are not sitting in total darkness. This meant we turned off all room lights and turned on the lights in the bathroom. The bathroom is large but a few issues here too. The toilet is not a smart bidet toilet. Just a normal one. No big issue. The shower is a bigger issue. There are two showerheads, a tall one high on the roof and a handheld one, pretty normal. But the handheld one is tiny, and as a guy who prefers the handheld one, it takes forever to use it thoroughly enough. Another issue with the bathroom is the fact that if you sit in the room you can look inside the bathroom and see whomever is showering. The glass is frosted so its not clear and as I was with my wife, its not an issue for us. But if you have a twin room then maybe its an issue if you don't want someone to see you showering. But the bathroom has a heated towel rack and large heated mirror and good shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided The bedroom floor is an issue. I weigh 75kg and in places on the floor you step it feels as if the floor is flexing under you. Then I saw that part of the seam of the wood looked like its coming up and if you were not wearing slippers then maybe you could cut yourself One last issue with the room is the level it is on. As mentioned before the hotel is on the street. So if you keep your curtains open, anyone on the street can very easily see into your room. It lacks privacy. Breakfast: I must say this was disappointing. You have mini-croissants and plain sliced bread for toast. You have rice, noodles, mini chicken sausages and eggs. There's a noodle station also so you can get some cooked to your desire. But it just seemed lacking in options. Service: Very warm and friendly and patient staff. You can ask questions (in English) via WeChat and they often reminded me about times for breakfast and if I was okay so far. Common Areas: The hotel is very modern. Lots of places to sit and every surface is designed well with interesting and modern materials and furnishings. Extras: Laundry room is good. 4 modern washer/dryers. sinks to do hand washing and an excellent steamer to iron clothes The hotel has a spa but we never used Overall: The only other hotels that may be better than this were much more expensive and in a worse location. So with BO Hotel, you get a very pretty hotel with a modern look, a large room with nice features (cinema screen), great service from staff and all for a low price and in an amazing location. Yangshuo then for 3-4 days or less I would return. Any longer and I would want a fridge and a gym

Downtown/Elephant Trunk Hill/Two Rivers And Four Lakes
Pros : Clean and Comfortable staying environment with heated bidet toilet seats and complimentary pantry. Attentive ”butlers” @ your service where there are issues or questions. Value for money given the space and proximity to the attractions. Cons: wifi bandwidth inadequate during evenings. Can't even use xiao du to play a complete song. If u r looking for the views, this isnt for you. It's a short distance away. The beautiful views of the hills can only be seen in the restaurant/pool area.

Yulong River National Tourist Resort
I felt special from the moment I stepped out of my taxi. The customer service is wonderful and attentive. I booked a panoramic room and it was exactly as described…just beautiful. Within walking distance of the quay for river rafting (if you turn left out of the hotel). Breakfast was lovely with a choice of either Chinese or 8 different Western options. I was sad to leave…and even more sad saying goodbye to that bath! Well done to the amazing staff at this small hotel…they really do put the customer experience first!

Beautiful hotel with wonderful pool. Staff very nice and helpful - using a translate program to communicate. Only negative - 5th floor with no elevators and twice room card did not work and had to go back down 5 floors to get it fixed. Breakfast is Chinese but plenty of food for the set meal. They even gave us a surprise parting gift of some things, I think from their farm, rice and medicine ball for tea.

Mingshi Scenic Area
Hua Lu (Lost in Nature) Hotel My wife and I stayed here for three nights in December 2023, but regretted that our schedule did not allow us to stay longer. The Hua Lu Hotel is a charming boutique hotel located in the Ming Shi village that features clusters of needle mountains that aggressively protrude from what otherwise appears to be a level agricultural plain. The origins of the village were for its farming potential but the stunning beauty of the location has popularized it as a tourist haunt, a place to visit either before or after checking out the Detian Waterfall on the China-Vietnam border. In among the locals’ modest houses, several B&Bs and hotels have sprouted to cater to tourists wanting a wide spectrum of accommodations from the extremely basic up to relatively high-end resorts. The Hua Lu (Lost in Nature) is best categorized as a high-end boutique hotel. It is situated on the eastern periphery of Ming Shi well away (approximately a kilometer) from a busy highway around which many of its competitors are clustered. The accent at the Hua Lo is on tranquility. Our room was a well-conceived suite that had been furnished with a Zen sensibility. The bathroom featured an oversize bathtub and separate shower unit, and there was a spacious and comfortable sitting area. A south-facing balcony overlooked an intensely cultivated, multi-acre market-garden, irrigated by river-fed, man-made channels. Locals could be observed tending crops from dawn to dusk in these fields. A Chinese style breakfast was included the room fee, but we also opted to eat dinner each evening in the hotel restaurant. Both breakfast and dinner meals were prepared with an accent on health and use of locally grown foods. After dark, an open fireplace in a courtyard was used to barbecue snacks such as sweet potato and chicken: the courtyard doubled as a children’s play area and storage place for bicycles (pedal) which could be used by hotel guests. Evidence suggests that tourism has trumped agriculture as the main occupation of the Ming Shi village. For tourists who prefer a more communal experience, the village offers guided sampan tours on the river that wends its way through the village. However, the best way to benefit from the village scenery is by bicycle. Cycling around the village and its dramatic needle-mountain vistas is easy, the bike trails are converted ag paths that intertwine the crop fields. They are paved and free of the traffic of tourist coaches, trucks and E-scooters that rage along the main highway. My wife and I felt that we had come across a gem of experience that vastly exceeded our expectations when we booked the hotel. We plan to visit again next year, to enjoy a longer stay with the R&R it provides. Sean Bennett

West Street/Yangshuo Park Block
Beautiful hotel with excellent position. The loud and crowded West-Street is only 50 meters distant, but you never hear any noise from there. The room was always clean and tidy with fresh towels every day. No wishes unfulfilled! The big roof terrace offers good chairs and phantastic view of the roofs of Yangshuo and of the surrounding landscape at day and night. It is also possible to dry washed clothes there. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff members. This hotel is highly recommendable!
Fanli Hotel (Yangshuo West Street)

West Street/Yangshuo Park Block
Can't complain too much about the quality of furnishings or the level of amenities this hotel offers. Rated as a four star but in reality more like an above average 3 star hotel. No gym or pool. Has a restaurant and advertises breakfast, but in fact doesn't offer breakfast as far as I could determine. Initially booked for two nights (Friday/Saturday) and reservation on Trip.com stated that this included breakfast. However the restaurant on 5th floor was empty and bereft of staff. So no breakfast provided. Sound insulation isn't the best. Any voices sound like they come from just outside the door, and every door closed does so with a resounding deep thud! Booked double room which is reported to be 22m. Not sure about that- more like 18 or 20m. Stayed during Spring Festival period so roons more expensive than usual. In general, all else about Fanli other than what is mentioned above, iis quite good.

West Street/Yangshuo Park Block
This hotel exceeded our expectations and at a very reasonable price. The hotel is conveniently located directly over the central square of West Street. The view of the square is through windows that covered one full wall of the space. The room was the Cabin Suite, with two spacious rooms: a bedroom an a sitting area. The bathroom was very well laid out as well, with a separate shower stall (not always the case in China), and enough space for two adults to occupy the room at the same time. The price is surprisingly fair given the location, room quality and overall pleasantly decorated establishment. Each day an afternoon snack of fruit and tomatoes was delivered to the room. We would stay here again without hesitation. The hotel also has a rooftop lounge with an excellent view of downtown Yangzhou square . In addition there is a swimming pool on the roof with a fully functioning pool. One more note: there is an elevator. Two photos are attached: one of the cabin suite, the other is the view of the square from the rooftop viewing area.

Chaoyang Square/Zhongshan Road
The stay was satisfactory and the facilities were complete. It was just that the afternoon tea could not be delivered to the room. I think if the robot could not deliver it, the service staff should help deliver it. The guests had to take it themselves, which needs to be improved. The lady at the front desk was very good and gave a breakfast voucher!
